Preying on the disabled. Get a solicitor. These people will destroy your life

Along with Nationwide, Cifas accused me for 3 years of being a criminal fraudster giving me a Cat6 marker. They even done their own investigation outside of the accusing bank to re-didentify me as a fraudster. The ombudman had my name cleared and found this case was pathetic in my favour. The bank compensated me, however Cifas still host on a live system that i am a fraudster. No crime refernece number no nothing. Inputting data and hosting incorrect information about a person is Data Fraud. Reporting these scum bags to the ICO and Data Comissioner. I have parkinsons so you can imagine how much my blood boils and how much this makes me shake adter 3 years of no banking thanks to CIFAS

no point in having a complaints deptartment

Absolute joke these are
put a complaint into them regarding incorrect filing against my daughter sent all the evidence to them which clearly showed the filing was incorrect and they didn't even bother looking at it all they were interested in was the company who did it were correct which they weren't as if they had looked at the evidence it would have showed the company were wrong
and their response was go to the financial ombudsman it was clear from their response they didn't want to get involved as if it was to much trouble and they took the easy way out
Cifas are pointless they are not interested in the everyday person just Big Business and will never side against them and they will never look at any evidence that supports your complaint they just take the easy way out which to me is a cowards way out
so what cifas should do is get rid of their complaints department as they are as much use as chocolate tea pot and don't bother going to the chief executive as his department are just as bad as their complaints as they will do exactly the same which is nothing

Awful Service

Staff were constantly dismissive of my issue and claiming that there was nothing wrong. After using their extremely poor online form, I discover that there has been a False Identity marker against my name since 2017, which resulted in me losing my bank account two years later and not being able to apply for a new one since. The staff on the phone were poor and pushed blame against the other parties without any guidance of help in this matter. As a body who propose they are here to help, they are far from it and there needs to be reform of how they notify those who have had markers places against them. A total shambles!

Tom was extremely fluent and helpful, in a manner that not many customer service reps can be. Tom gave a lot of insight into my available options with identity theft and how the protective registration works.

Thankyou.

Make false entries

I found out there was a false entry on my name after 30 emails the issue is still not resolved, as this crazy organisation keep saying there member must withdraw there false entry, when asked if they saw any proof of evidence of what I’m suppose to have done, they simply say, it’s not them who make the entry, it’s there members, I’m a little confused as how they can tarnish your good name without any supporting evidence whatsoever, this organisation should be better controlled as they do not have a clue about the law. Another disgusting organisation, shame on them.
