Frequent Increases-HIGH fees/poor service

Really bad customer service. Since the company switched to altafiber, there is zero care for the customer. Frequent increases without notice (oh, except in the tiny print on the bill), and they are far higher than any other service locally.

I pay 85.13 for just internet

I pay 85.13 for just internet, no phone, no cable just internet. Spectrum charges 49.99 for everything. I'm sick of being raped, we should all boycott altafiber and go with Spectrum.

Horrible service and customer service

When I first signed up for Cincinnati Bell, they charged me for a phone line when I stated I did not want one. I was also paying around 80 dollars a month for the slowest internet service I have ever encountered. I couldn't even watch a show on Netflix without it buffering every minute. When they call me, they now hang up and are extremely rude when I tell them I am not interested in resuming my service. I switched to Spectrum and my service has been excellent, I am paying less, and I am getting more. Honestly, they have some of the rudest customer service reps I have ever encountered. If you want my money so badly, maybe consider hiring kinder people to work your service lines. The only positive experience I had was with the technician that came to my home. Might be the worst internet service provider I have ever had to deal with.

Issues Unresolved and No One Willing to Resolve

I stopped my service with CB because the pricing was outrageous and their customer service was really bad. I received a final bill (which was higher than it should have been and on which they did not credit me for returned equpt), which ended up in collections. I paid that in full in December. This month (March), I received a call from a collections company with a similar name (but completely separate and not affiliated with the first) and I explained it had been paid. When they wouldn't accept my documentation, I contacted CB, who insisted they did not send the second request for collection. After a lengthy and disturbing chat with CB, they agreed to send an email to the company (but not the right one, since they repeatedly told me they were the same) and copy me. That didn't happen. I am filing formal complaints with the second company and CB, with the BBB, the AG, and the FCC. I am being harassed by the second company and CB is not willing to resolve this.

HORRIBLE FROM THE BEGINNING!!!

HORRIBLE FROM THE BEGINNING!!!! When I first talked to the sales rep, he told me since I rented, I would have to have a paper signed from my landlord, saying it was ok to dig the lines. I still have the paper on my fridge, and I've had service for two months now. He lied and told me that my internet with FiOptics would be so much faster, and it isnt. Lie #3-when the service tech came out, who was an incredible young man, told me I should just throw the old modem away, that he couldn't believe they were still using those anyway. So, I did what he said and Cincinnati Bell billed me for $200 for the modem. After my initial complaint, 2 weeks later and 2 phone calls, they finally removed the cost of the modem off my bill. Lie #4- the sales rep never told me they billed in advance. I now have an outstanding bill for three months of service, one of which I haven't received yet, for almost $400. I have had so much trouble with this company, it has been a nightmare. Don't do it, just don't do it.
