Very disappointed
Have been a massive fan of Cineworld for many years. I received a £50 gift card which they told me I couldn’t use on food/drink only tickets and made it extremely difficult for me to use at the time I tried. Being a mother of 3 children (2 are disabled so I really don’t get out much!) apparently the gift cards expire within 2 years and mine had expired. I politely explained my situation and asked if it could possibly be extended but was told no. Now- I will say it’s a great shame that a multi million pound company such as yourselves acts in such a greedy manner. I totally understand and respect policies however it’s always appreciated if a one time exception could be made. What is £50 to your company? Nothing but to me it’s a lot of money. It taints my view of you as a company now as not one that cares about its customers but more about financial gain and unfortunately I don’t wish to attend again.
Saturday 14th 2024
Saturday 14th 2024, myself and a friend went to watch it ends with us at Wolverhampton CINEWORLD, however the issue was that the whole film was blurry and the sound was very low! Furthermore you could only see clearly once they zoomed in on the faces but I wouldn’t recommend going there, it totally wrecked the experience of the whole movie which I was looking forward to watching. Also no staff came in before or after the movie which was weird
Website never works multiple devices and connections.
Website never worked so drove 40 minutes for there to be no seats. Nothing but bad experience with cineworld broughton. Only visited because the kids liked the 4DX.
Sweatbox no AC
Nearly £20 for imax and the sound is not calibrated or something odd because it’s boomy. Also no AC which i understand is company policy to maintain inhumane temperatures in the iMax screen. Won’t be calling again.
Expensive Snacks!
The venue was very nice good sound, picture and seating. However £14 for a popcorn, water and a drink - wow!
Online ticketing scam
Cineworld cinemas ticket price itself is already on a higher side, then why are you charging another 0.95p per ticket as booking fees. If you have a movie ticket management system and that's available in internet, any customer booking online is not using your point of sale counter so less staff and less face to face servicing. With these cost offset you would be already earning more then why are you charging a booking fee per seat. Any sensible management will not loot like that
Very good management
I thank you VERY MUCH the management of CINEWORLD DUBLIN PARNELL STREET for their amazing patience and understanding.. <3 :-)
Yesterday as I was about to get myself a ticket, I realised I unfortunately forgot my unlimited card at home..
I tried calling customer service few times which usually answer 7 days a week, but I don't know what happened yesterday, as soon as the phone rang, it automatically hang up on its own (maybe connection issue).
I tried getting the ticket online, bad day for me : it wouldn't accept my password.
I changed my password, and received the email confirming change of password, but still my new password didn't work.
I than asked to talk to a manager, two members of the management team came right away.
After explaining my issue, they called another manager.
The three were very patient trying to resolve the issue.
I showed them my emails with the password changed and tried on front on them login again online to get myself a ticket, but seeing it was all weird ; the manager got me a ticket (was able to watch TWISTER. Indeed I absolutely wanted to watch it yesterday as I was off, and I live in Balbriggan, it would have been a shame all that travel for nothing..)
Obviously as soon as got home, I straight away put my unlimited card in my wallet to avoid that happening again.
But I thank that management team for their professionalism, patience, and understanding.
I visited Cineworld in Wembley on…
I visited Cineworld in Wembley on Saturday
I was helped by James as I had Tesco voucher coupons. He had patient into helping me to pay by voucher as that takes time. James and other members of the staff were all very friendly polite and helpful.
I find The Wembley Cineworld very clean that goes for the cinema halls. Corridors and not to forget the toilets were all clean.
Keep up the good work
Sound level …
I have just been to cineworld in Speke great film comfortable seats staff were helpful BUT omg the sound must have been 100 decibels my ears were ringing why does it have to be so loud spoilt the experience
Avoid, scammers!
Absolutely scamming thief's. Sell Christmas voucher boxes, which many people keep in the box sealed to keep their vouchers safe for when they want to use it. Guess what? Only 6 months they’re valid for. This is not once mentioned on the box, only on the small print if you open the box and look at the tickets. Everyone just assumes you get 12 months to use this, so if you were gifted this you wouldn’t have a clue. Clearly a way for many people to do the same mistake as I did for them to make money, they must need it with the prices & closures. absolutely disgusting. Go vue guys, much cheaper and way better customer service. Fyi the customer service staff are rude, they put the phone down mid conversation.
Cineworld Enfield poor deal and dirty

Decided to try "4DX". Ok it was worth it for a one off maybe...but come on, nearly £20 pp to see a 2d movie on a slightly out of focus dark screen. ( I am over 60 so I got a massive £2 discount recouped by them later on in a booking fee...)My pet hate is showing a 16: 9 "big movie" on a 4:3 screen. Thats the height of laziness and cost cutting. These movies are meant to expand left and right but these guys just show it as a smaller picture! Thats nonsense. Plus no black border, so they project the grey bars top and bottom onto the white screen. I have come up with:
AMAX - for the smaller big screen experience!
My 4k home video projector delivers a much better picture.
Sound was brilliant. If you want an intelligent look at what happens if aliens were to land on earth. I recommend
"A QUIET PLACE-Day 1". Excellent movie and the aliens rip people off as quickly as the cinema does. However, I wouldn't sit on the "cinema"s filthy seats again. They are almost black with lumpy bits-best not to think about.
If you want the 4DK experience I will set it up in my garden and you can sit in my fiat 500 with the engine runing....my seats are clean too
1st night showing the movie and there were 10 of us in the whole cinema.
I couldn't help thinking if they charged a decent price, more peole could afford to go. It's possible to get tickets to a West End show for the same price.
Oh yes...£5.25 for a coke! I expected to taste rum too for that.
Honestly, how have cinemas got away with this over the past few years. The pricing is gross considering you can have all this at home if you save up £20 every time you think of going. Get a screen and a cheap projector, 2 cans of coke and a packet of crisps...off you go!
This is an honest appraisal...the movie was great the 4DX was fun as a one off - you should try it when you get a bonus at work to pay for it....sound was amazing.
All the rest 3/10 tbh.
Oh yeah! Booked the tickets myself so loved being charged £1.90 booking fee just because they can filch that money from my account..I didn't ask for a receipt as the buggers charge another 30p for that. Was afraid to use the toilet in case there was a 1 pee charge...
Had a great time very comfortable will…
Had a great time very comfortable will come again
Booking fee rip-off
Bought tickets online for myself and my granddaughter which were expensive enough to start with, but then got charged a £1.90 booking fee. Robbing b******s! Won't be in a hurry to book again.
Unlimited is awesome
Went to see Dirty Little Letters at White Rose, Leeds. Loved the film -the entire cast are superb. Cineworld do a great job - I am surprised at so many whinging reviews! Join unlimited for great value.
Waste of money and time.
Spent money online booking a film for My sons birthday and half a rents worth of money in drinks, to find they needed to prove they were 15. My eldest being 18 16 and the friend 15. No refund what so ever. This is disgusting and you're robbing families. It's not wonder people use illegal methods to watch films without being ripped off.
What's going on with those prices?
20 pounds for two small popcorns and two small sodas AND more than 30 minutes of ads before a film after paying 22 pounds to watch it. No wonder no one goes to the cinema any more, I've never felt more insulted in my life.
Horrifically expensive drinks and popcorn
Horrifically expensive drinks and popcorn.
Firstly I should say, I fully support our cinemas, and the difficult market they are in. I have no problem paying £15 to £20 to watch the latest release.
What I do object to is paying £24 for two popcorn bags and two drinks. The drinks are made from syrup, and I don't believe corn kernels are all that expensive. I appreciate there are overheads, energy and staff costs etc, but this has the hallmarks of a rip off. Even at half the price, it would still be expensive, Cineworld would still make a profit, but I wouldn't feel as if I've been robbed on what was supposed to be a nice night out with my daughter.
Watford Cinema
Watford Cinema - Most unsupportive and least helpful bunch of staff imaginable - no customer service skills, no management skills, no idea of how to resolve issues and they may as well place cardboard cut outs at the service points as they would be of more use. Will never be back to Cineworld - there is a Vue just up the road and they are cheaper too with reclining seats :)
Hull site
Hull site - been a member for too many years. Staff always helpful and ask how Im doing. They open extra tills if the need demands as well. One screen is colder than the rest but a sign is up telling you about the problem.Toilets clean as well. Most times the film is at least 20 minutes after the start time as listed.
one screen had a leaky roof due to amount of rain we had. area was well signed and sectioned off from use.
Staff are credit to the brand name, dressed smart and good with people.
