Lock in for 5 years!

One of our former employees signed up for Cintas and didn't realize it was a 5 year lock in (very fine print). That seems completely unheard of for a few t-shirts. Cintas was not very flexible with us and we are stuck paying for something we don't even use. I HIGHLY recommend small and mid-sized companies stay away from Cintas.

Honestly I wouldn’t waste your time…

Honestly I wouldn’t waste your time applying there. I first started applying there of May of 2024. I’ve applied at least 16 times and have been rejected for all. I had to do 2 interviews for a CSR position in one day, 1 interview for a special order coordinator, and the 3 interviews within the same week for a CSR position again. For the special order coordinator position my cousin worked in that field and tried to help me get a job there but instead… they hired someone in Chicago to work remote and a retired veteran (nothing against veterans I respect them) who constantly would sleep at his desk due to PTSD. She said her supervisor/manager regretted hiring them b/c the training was difficult to do and my cousin replied to her saying “well you should have hired my cousin but you didn’t.” I’ve been in customer service since HS, I’ve worked in a printing company for 1yr, and I’ve been in banking for 5+yrs now. I wasted my time applying to Cintas hoping for a chance when reality is they are picky about who they hire and have seen my application so many times now that it feels like they are choosing not to hire me.

Predatory contracts and inventory dumping. Avoid.

Running a coffee shop and roastery means managing tight margins, and Cintas is the last thing you need. They lock you into impossible 5-year contracts for floor mats that wear out within a week. Worse, they don't even manage your inventory properly—their drivers just dump extra product like hand soap that we don't need, making our storeroom overflow just to inflate the weekly bill. When I tried to push back, they tried conning one of my shift managers into signing a renewal invoice she didn't understand. Impossible to get anyone on the phone to cancel. Avoid these guys and use a local linen company instead.

These guys are snakes

These guys are snakes, they will say anything to get you sign. I was told repeatedly there was no obligation, but I told the rep repeatedly we are not interested and that our current guy is doing a good job.. then he somehow he conned a new employee into signing a contract that turned out to be 5 years. And on top of that they brought us way more stuff than we even needed.....

Stay away!

I had an interview at the Coppell location where they kept us in a conference room for hours, only to say I didn’t get the job. They really should stop wasting people’s time if they’re not actually hiring. I could have saved my gas and looked elsewhere for work. The whole thing felt very unprofessional.

If I could give zero stars I would. Cintas has been one of the worst vendor experiences we’ve had.

They lock you into a 5-year contract for products like floor mats that are extremely poor quality. Ours were worn out within a week, but they refused to let us cancel because of the contract.

We ended up removing the mats and keeping only the floor cleaner service just to ride out the agreement. Then a couple years in, our pricing suddenly doubled with no reasonable notice or explanation.

When we tried to cancel near the end of the contract after four years, they told us the only way to lower the inflated price was to sign another 5-year contract early.

Communication has been terrible the entire time.

In my opinion, the contracts, price increases, and poor customer service make this company extremely difficult to work with. Businesses should read the fine print very carefully before signing anything with Cintas.

Honesty of company is questionable...

been with Cintas for 10+ years. from start it was fishy. here are some examples:
1) would have terminated after first 5 year contract, but Cintas service person lied to warehouse person to signing renewal by saying "oh it's just acknowledgement of a price increase"... it was actually a 5 year renewal at ridiculous rates and terms.
2) our contract states 5% price increases once a year. However, like clockwork every single year we are given a 20% increase and we have to wait 2-3 months & fight tooth and nail to get it corrected. We even went to the extra mile to notify Cintas in advance of potential billing error.
3) on at least two occasions the service person adamantly claims monthly service was done despite not having a signed slip and our warehouse manager saying nobody came. After disputing with billing, they came up with some lame excuse that the driver came unscheduled extra early at 6am (we open at 8am) and marked it as unavailable but accidentally didn't file it. who the heck changes delivery schedule to a known unavailable delivery time then claims work was done, then backtracks paperwork was not filed properly?... and then does it a second time.
4) response form account manager and billing team is sometimes the equivalent of being ghosted. in theose frequent cases you have to chase them and fight tooth&nail to correct things.

Just a horrible partner

Just a horrible partner. We are a small business and I am not personally onsite. So they just keep dumping extra product on us, versus managing our inventory. I have to raise hell 2-3 times a year and they always promise me it will be better. Then I show up and see my store room overflowing with butt gaskets, hand soap and other items I do not use that often. Sometimes items I do not use at all. I asked them to pause for a month or two so I could burn through product but then they kept harassing me and showing up anyways. Save yourself a headache and stay away from Cintas. It's just not worth it.

In the Middle of the Night

We stopped paying as Cintas was in CLEAR violation of several covenants of their agreement. The agreement does not even provide an address for notices. Middle of the night they enter our premise and reclaim their towels and our logoed front door mat with absolutely no conversation. I initiated a conversation with their lower management and he just could have cared less with is "THUG" attitude. Stay away or deal with their constant misrepresentations and BS.

Rip off Artists

I own the company but when I was out of town, the sales guy had my office manager sign the agreement. 5 years! They charge us $60/month for 2 small mats. We have zero traffic so I guarantee you he takes the mats from my office and drops them off at his next stop.

Stay away

Stay away! Horrible! More of a headache than anything. If you do not stay next to them when they deliver products and go one by one on the invoice they lie and charge you for things not received. You can send message asking questions not one person helps or responds. Absolutely the WORST company we have dealt with.

deceit and lies to get…

They are deceitful and lie to get accounts. They've been calling saying my uniform provider has been bought out. I checked with my provider, total lie and they've been doing this to several of his clients. So unethical.

Cintas has poor customer practices

We are a small office and we switched from Canadian Linen to Cintas, as they offered a much lower rate for our towels. Now i realize that Cintas uses smoke and mirrors to get you to sign up, once you do the charges creep up and then they tell you, "sorry you are in a contract"that you can't get out of. I was never told about a contract.

Also, I don’t think their accounting company knows what is going on. I am registered for auto payment with Cintas. Every month we are harrassed for payment from the 1st of the month until the 9th (when our auto payment goes through) In January i received 3 "payment overdue" emails and a phone call to my reception staff stating out account is overdue! I was furious! The invoice was paid the next day, by auto payment. How do t not know that?

What is Cintas good at.....harrassing you to get paid and that is about all in my opinion.

Sincerely the worst company. DO NOT TOUCH

Sincerely the worst company to do business with. If I could have put any star on it, I would have. Do not sign a contract with them under any circumstances. Impossible to get out of their service. Automatic renewal without knowing it. No after-sales service; all they want to do is sign contracts and tie people up, but they don't deliver what they sell. Even with a contract; they raise prices unilaterally; change the rules as they see fit. Poor invoicing; charges for items they don't even leave. Charges the same price for smaller boxes. Constantly in breach of contract but never able to talk to anyone. They just automatically renewed the contract even though we said we didn't want it anymore. They run after us to sign, but when not to renew; they tell us we should have done it 3 months ago. EXTREMELY DISHONEST. Never sign with them. You'll regret it forever.

They "got us" last year by marching in…

They "got us" last year by marching in to one of my offices as if they were an authority. They used an air of authority which tricked our location into believing that their visit was mandated and required. They sent a bill for services for nearly $500. This is a service that we normally conduct with a local company for about $90 every year (sprinkler inspection, fire inspection, certification, etc.).

Our office paid for the service. They came in again this year and did the same thing. They were told to take a hike. I have sent the company a cease and desist and no-trespass order. From this point forward, any visit by them to our office is unlawful and we will work with local law enforcement to prosecute these villains.

Contract Beware

After having the service for 4 1/2 years and working one on one with the driver to make sure I get the products I’m built for I canceled now they are billing me $1500 sent it to collection agency for breach of contract. They said when I signed up I signed up for a five year contract. When I asked to see the contract, it was digital multiple pages and a signature that is illegible.
