Circa went above and beyond to make sure we had the most special day. They allowed us to customise their menu and created the perfect food our guests. We had so many compliments.
From our personalised cocktails to our tiramisu desert trolley, circa pulled off our vision with excellence! We can’t thank them enough.

The food was absolutely INCREDIBLE - genuinely delicious, it felt home-cooked and special and you could tell was prepared with so much love and care, which is no small feat when cooking for over 100 people. We’ve had countless compliments from our guests, not just about how amazing the food was, but also about the wonderful service your team provided.

Thank you for playing such an important part in making our wedding the best day of our lives! We’ve recommended you to all of our friends getting married (though they hardly needed the recommendation, since they were there to experience it first-hand!) Thank you!

Disappointing Experience with Circa Events at Our Wedding

We had high hopes for Circa Events as our wedding caterers, especially after the promise of a unique and relaxed BBQ-style meal at LongFurlong Barn. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations.

From the outset, there were issues with the tasting. We had chosen a BBQ for our wedding meal, but at the tasting we were only offered 8 out of the 20 BBQ items available. The rest of the tasting consisted of food that either wasn’t part of our package or wasn’t what we wanted. This meant we had to make our final selections based largely on guesswork, which was disappointing given how important food is to a wedding day.

We were also sold the idea that the BBQ would be cooked in the courtyard to create that authentic, relaxed BBQ atmosphere. However, despite only light rain in the morning, Circa Events made the decision to cook the food out the back, away from view. This meant none of our guests realised it was a BBQ at all, and the atmosphere we envisioned was lost entirely.

The evening food was advertised as being served “Hawker style,” which to us (and many others) means freshly cooked and served to order. In reality, the food was pre-cooked and simply laid out on tables behind the dance floor for guests to pick up. Again, the execution did not match what we were sold.

During the meal, wine bottles were left empty on tables and guests weren’t offered refills. We, as the bride and groom, had to personally ask—twice—for our guests to be topped up. This should not have been our responsibility on the day.

The most upsetting part came after the wedding when we discovered that Circa had thrown away our wedding cake and sentimental cake topper without asking us. This was a deeply personal and irreplaceable item that we obviously would have wanted to keep. Despite several attempts to discuss this and other issues, we were met with argumentative responses. It took over a month for them to even admit they had discarded the cake, adding unnecessary stress at a time when we should have been enjoying newlywed life.

In summary, our experience with Circa Events was disappointing. We felt misled, let down, and ultimately disrespected—both in the handling of our wedding day and in the way our concerns were dealt with afterwards. We would not recommend them to other couples planning their special day.

Our wedding couldn't have been better, thanks to Circa! It was an absolutely phenomenal day and it all ran super smoothly and the team were all so brilliant. Everyone has talked about how great the food and service was, and we agree! 

We really felt like we could just give up control and enjoy our day, knowing we were in amazing hands.

The whole process was a great experience - the office team made everything so easy, we had so much fun at the tasting day and we loved picking our menu.

I would recommend Circa to everyone!!

Circa catered for our wedding recently at Hawthbush Farm and we had a great experience. They were very communicative in the lead up to the day and understanding of last minute table plan/dietary changes - big thanks to Sara and Yaz! The food was great and complemented by lots of our guests. It was lovely to have the BBQ done outside during the reception and we really appreciated Sara's idea of having the dessert outside rather than at the tables because of the nice weather. They laid the tables beautifully in advance of our arrival, even solving our miscalculation with the table runner numbers. The staff on the day were friendly, professional and well organised. Circa were also very reasonably priced compared to a lot of wedding caterers which was super helpful with budgeting. We were very happy, thanks so much to the whole team!

The team at Circa Events are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food is absolutely incredible, I would recommend the BBQ wedding breakfast to anyone!! Absolutely 10/10 food and service, our guests have not stopped talking about how delicious our wedding food was. Thank you so much Circa team!!

We had our wedding at Laughton Barns and the day was incredible from start to finish thanks to Circa events. I genuinely couldn’t have wished for anything more, and we had so many compliments from our guests about the food and the staff. Thank you all for making the best day of our lives even better! I cannot speak highly enough of this company. The food was unbelievably good and the service was impeccable - professional throughout, everything served fresh and on time, and so warm towards our guests! It was perfect in every sense of the word and our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful everything was!

I am so, so grateful to every single person who was involved in our day - from the initial bookings and those behind the scenes who made everything run so smoothly, to the people serving and interacting with the guests. They really made the day something special - thank you so much!

Wonderful Food!

We recently used Circa Events to cater a work event, and couldn’t have been happier with the experience.

We ordered the Social Boards from their office catering menu, and they were an absolute hit with the team. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented, with something for everyone to enjoy.

The service was just as impressive as the food. Everything arrived on time and ready to serve, making the whole process seamless.

I would highly recommend Circa and we’ll definitely be coming back for future events!

We produced a photo shoot in Cuckmere Haven and these guys delivered really excellent catering for breakfast and lunch for 15 people - all totally fresh and well presented, with thoughtful additions. Delicious with timely and friendly service. Couldn't have asked for better!

We had an amazing experience with circa from start to finish. They catered our wedding at Gote Barn and supported with organisation/planning/timings too. Every staff member that we dealt with was so lovely and the food was absolutely delicious. We had canapés, the bbq feasting menu and the circa gelato bike. All our guests commented on how amazing the food was and we really enjoyed attending the food tasting session too. We also loved that we could tailor the welcome drinks to our own preference and had Aperol Spritz to bring the summer vibes. Sarah was incredible throughout the whole lead up to the wedding, helping us with any enquiries. Ben and his team were amazing on the set up and wedding day - bringing positive vibes when the weather wasn’t looking so great! Would highly recommend to anyone :) thank you, Circa

I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped us on our wedding day on Saturday.

Our entire experience of the Circa team was exceptional. The food was fantastic, Ben was wonderful, and Yas and her team were so lovely.

We felt so looked after and special - genuinely so many of our guests commented on how lovely you all were and it made our day so perfect.

Thank you so much for all of your hard work - I can’t imagine working in the heat on the weekend is easy, but you all made it seem so.

We used Circa Events for lunch for a 3 day course in Chichester. Our participants commented on how excellent the quality and choice were. We had sandwiches the first day then sharing platters for the other 2 days. They even delivered all the way from Brighton!

My husband, Isaac Pragnell and I had our special day on Saturday. It was the most perfect day and we would not have changed it for the world. We had our reception at Gote Barn, Ringmer. This venue is the most magical barn in a beautiful location. Circa events have helped us from the start and have been utterly incredible. Weddings can be very stressful and overwhelming, but we had so much support and help we didn’t feel stressed at all. Sara has been our first point of call and has been absolutely amazing, we can’t thank her enough for her help, suggestions and guidance during this time. We also can’t thank Ben, chefs and catering team enough for all their hard work on our wedding day. Bens help and support meant so much and throughout the day ensured Isaac and I were having the BEST time. The food provided was incredible and all our guests said how it was the best wedding food they had ever had! The portion sizes were huge and everyone reported how full they were!!! Our whole day went so smoothly and this was all down to the whole team at circa. We can not recommended them enough and thank you all again!!

We used Circa for our wedding catering, can't fault them on anything, they have been fantastic from start to finish. Communication and attention to detail was top notch, and the food was amazing. We opted for 2 of their food truck options, with pizza and kebabs, all our guests greatly enjoyed the food and we received so much positive feedback. Wouldn't hesitate to use Circa again if the occasion called for it.

We held the West Sussex Care Awards at Long Furlong on the 23rd May and Circa Events provided the catering. The service was absolutely impeccable, everything ran smoothly and to time which made for a truly special evening. Thanks Circa Team!

We decided to go with a 'Circa' local business with locally sourced food to supply an office event with catering.

We were not disappointed ALL of the food tasted amazing the rounds of Sandwiches were much bigger than expected, and so much filling, the homemade tart was delicious and the Rosemary Flapjack went down a treat! and all presented and delivered in easy serve boxes.

I would highly recommend 'Circa' amazing food and great service. We will definitely be using them again!!
