What Happened to Cirque du Soleil?

I have seen Cirque du Soleil three times in the past ten years at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Alegria by far was the worst production and a real disappointment! The acrobats and choreography were well done, however, the whole production was done on a cheap budget for the amount of money you spent. No real costumes or stage design and the acrobatic performances were kept to a minimum. The clowns were OK in the beginning and incredibly boring and annoying as the show went on and their silly gigs took up too much of the time. We did not come to see them!

Sad to say, the show was a disappointment.

Wonderful Mesmerising Performance

Flabbergasted by quantity of negative reviews.Thought the show was brilliant. Music, performers, venue top notch.Could not fault it.Yes it's expensive but that's London. My partner her daughter and our grandson thoroughly enjoyed the whole show.Transfixed throughout.A must see despite the opinions of some doom mongers.

I have seen them a few times and…

I have seen them a few times and frankly it was dazzling. a great activity to go with the kids. If it's hard to impress you in general, you might have a hard time, because if you want to have that breathtaking experience, you need to have the perfect seat in that particular sector, the overhead lightning must be in the right place to not disturb your eyes, and you have to be in a good mood. if you are a very picky person, you might find details that bother you but if you just sit back and try to enjoy what you see as much as possible as the experience goes, you will have a good time.

Cirque du Soleil Alegria show

Cirque du Soleil Alegria show - could be my opinion, but this one was a joke, not worth it paying almost £400 for 2 tickets. As much I respect that lots of hard work all acrobats have to put in practice and performance, this show turned to a weird mix between acrobatic rehearsal and sad pantomime! Sorry, but I want to see a real performance not something worst than unsuccessful talent show performance. Disappointed this time, my first visit to their show 7 years ago was breathtaking. Hope for better days!

I visited Cirque du Soleil KURIOS in…

I visited Cirque du Soleil KURIOS in Paris on December 31st. My experience was significantly overshadowed by an incident with an individual seated near me, who seemed to be associated with the show. Despite not taking pictures myself, while others in the audience were, this person singled me out, accusing me of violating a no-picture policy. He physically pushed me and verbally harassed me, insisting I put my phone in my bag. The harassment only ceased after I loudly called him out as a harasser. This incident profoundly affected my enjoyment of the event. As for the show itself, I found it to be a mixed bag: only half of it was engaging, with the rest feeling plain or amateurish (finger puppet show, man presenting imaginative acrobats, the cat man; those are crying examples). In addition, some parts seemed recycled from other shows. Not to forget, the seats are really small and uncomfortable. I do not plan to return.

Saw Cirque du soleil Dreams at

Saw Cirque du soleil Dreams at
Mohegan Sun in CT. It started 10 mins late. There was a blinding spot light in our eyes 95% of the time so we couldn’t see. What we could see was very boring. Nothing but rope acrobats and a lady juggling balls. The very beginning of the show was sooooooo boring. Very disappointed!

Amazing show!

Amazing show! One of the best I ever saw. Performing art, art, skating and acrobatic, all at once. Also the choice of music , the scene decoration the light projections on ice to make it look like a dance floor a surrealist dream , a scenery from top (plane), writing and notebook drawing on ice oh my god. It was amazing! Bravo.

Nightmare before Christmas

The worst production show ever! The performers are good but not for cirque du Soleil show. It’s all dancing, skating, sliding, and running around the small stage. Then the blinding lights that I had to wear my sunglasses while watching the boring show. Whose idea is it to have those spotlights? It was torture. Kids behind me were crying & wanted to leave. I can’t wait for it to end and get out of there!

Ripped of by their vendor Ticketmaster

Ripped of by their vendor Ticketmaster. Show was to begin at 1pm. They gave us 5pm start tix and demanded more money per ticket to give our original request. My husband has a movement disorder and needs to go in daylight hours for safety from falls. Requested reasonable accommodation under the ADA too. They don't care.

The Beatles, Love

This is an amazing experience. Get there if you can, you won’t be disappointed. We visited the show in The Mirage, Las Vegas from Wales, UK. It was a special highlight of our trip.
The last time we visited we went to O at The Bellagio which was also an incredible experience. Both shows are worth every penny! X

No refund so buy very carefully

I bought tickets for wrong year - very stupid and yes entirely my mistake! Realised immediately and asked for refund. Was told no refunds. For any reason. Totally inflexible and unreasonable. Now I am stupid and completely broke with no way of buying a replacement gift so Christmas is now cancelled. despite the fact that they have over a year to resell the seats and won’t lose any money !

Tickets for Kurios in Brussels are definitely too expensive. And if I had to sit in the last economy row with children, I would prefer not to go at all. It's a pity but the prices are a tragedy

Fantastic show but seating was shocking and very uncomfortable $175 per seat and I would give it a zero for comfort. I'd never come back with family to a show we're the seating is so bad.

Crystal soo boring and bad

A Jack of all trades master of none show. Acro/ice/skating/silks/live music and and a storyline? What could have been amazing all fell short. Overhead lighting was shining directly in our eyes the whole time. Storyline made no sense and was shallow. It was literally all ice skating but it’s a circus? The juggler, ice hockey people and contortionist in the silks were great but they made up 3% of the whole very boring skating show. Can’t tell if the choreography was boring or I happen to have friends that should be in cirque du Soleil because they could do all the same stuff in the show- not exaggerating! NOT cirque du Soleil standards at all. Disservice to the probably very talented acrobats forced to do the bare minimum because it was on ice. And they really did a disservice to the live musicians, hid them out of sight so you couldn’t tell they were performing live. Load of rubbish especially for $180 a ticket not even close to main stage! Save your money watch one of their bigger shows like ‘o’ if you want the real acrobatics experience . This was a yawn and not up to their standard

Very boring storyline and cliche

Very boring storyline and cliche. Scene transitions didn’t go smoothly and the clown wasn’t funny. 40 minutes into show and I’m writing this review. I left and didn’t watch the second part.

I booked tickets to Kurios in 2020

I booked tickets to Kurios in 2020. Due to the pandemic it was cancelled and tickets were reissued to us for the following year. This was also cancelled but I was told by Email that I could hold onto the tickets until Cirque du Soleil returned. I now find that I can’t contact them at all so I’m left with worthless tickets and no one to help me. This is disgusting and we are so very disappointed and frustrated. Obviously they are not a reputable company.

The acts were sensational but the…the floor level lighting and the sound were terrible.

The acts were sensational but the lighting and the sound absolutely destroyed the whole show. The peripheral floor level lights surrounding the ice rink made it almost impossible from where we were seated to see more than 50% of what was happening. When the lights were not at full intensity it was not quite so bad but still not acceptable. Interestingly when these lights were out and relying on other lighting the scene was much easier to see. The other lighting effects however were sensational.
As for the sound the music did not have to be as loud as it was and on many occasions prevented the story being told to be heard properly. My previous experiences for Cirque du Soleil have been sensational so very disappointed with this production.

For me not enough circus/ acrobatics in…

For me not enough circus/ acrobatics in this Crystal show. This performance had a lot of dancing/ ice skating, with a boring story line that I felt didn’t relate to the acrobatics. Our seating was high and on the side at John Cain arena and the lighting made it difficult at our level to have a clear view of the performers a lot of the time. The edge arena lights were shining into our eyes. Just not what I was expecting comparing to their past performances. The performers were great as usual but our family left feeling disappointed.

Poor Circ du Soleil Crystal experience.

We attended their new show Crystal in Sydney on Sunday.
It was a cut back cheap version of previous shows. Too much basic skating around on ice! Great acrobatics, clowns, juggling and music as usual, but a weak and boring storyline this time. We've attended about 5 shows over the years so can compare. This was very disappointing.
