My experience with City-Wohnen was stunning, they were able to help me and my family on the relocation process to Hamburg finding out a very good property near the center of the city and with a fair price.

City-Wohnen is a great way to find a flat in Hamburg. The properties listed are available (unlike some other housing sites where properties are shown in your requested date range but once you send a request to rent, you get a response the flat is unavailable).

I was able to find a great flat in my price range quickly and after the agent at City-Wohnen put me in touch with the landlord, I rented without viewing it as I was living in London. This felt a little risky but the reviews of City-Wohnen were so positive that I felt safe.

The comprehensive lease was sent in both English and German and all the paperwork was dealt with quickly. My agent answered all my questions in a timely manner.

My only issue was with the design of the City-Wohnen site. I found some elements confusing and I registered multiple times as I did not understand the flow to request a viewing of an apartment. Also, once I was sent information about a property which stated I had to contact the management of the building directly but there was no contact information included in the email and none sent when I followed up asking for more information.

Other than some issues with the site, my experience was great and I highly recommend using City-Wohnen for an apartment search in Germany!

City-Wohnen Hamburg is a great team, that works really with heart and soul and always tries to do their best to provide everything that is necessary concerning the questions of finding and living in a new flat, in a new city. What I really like about City-wohnen is the personalisation of their services.

It's not just another website where you're searching yourself. They assign a human operator for each customer to talk to and discuss what kind of apartment would be best.

They then also interact with the landlord for you, manage the contracts and all other details.

Depending on the apartment, they even come and visit with you to see the apartment.
