An afternoon excursion with our granddaughter
We really enjoyed our trip on the Sacramento River with City Cruises. Although the hour long experience was a short one it was a nice afternoon excursion with our visiting granddaughter. It would have been excellent had there not been a bit too much exhaust wafting through the main room for at least part of our trip. We were able to avoid it.

We got stuck in the tunnel with all the…
We got stuck in the tunnel with all the construction. We got there a few minutes late and they were gone. Plus, we had conflicting times for departure. When we sought to get rescheduled, we got no answer or consideration from City Cruises. That just isn't right. To keep peoples money when there is a legitimate reason for being late. A couple from MD dealt with the same thing. Now, we are out $140+ and they got 140+ x 4. Thats not right!!!

Exciting night …
We had great dinner cruise on the Thames onboad diamond prices boat.
Staff done good job of food service and live music as well.
Great to see London from the water expecially at night

Loved: Amazing views, fun DJ/music, pictures taken
Did not Love: Food; served too late in the cruise and was room temperature. Did not get to enjoy the DJ as much as I could have if I did not have to remain seated for so long waiting for the food to be served. The food was not hot and did not seem fresh. For what we paid, expected more.

Boat Missing
Booked for Mother's Day - Arrived at the meeting point early as advised, and waited for the boat which did not turn up. Called City Cruises who told me it was cancelled. No apology, just a rather rude "an email was sent out yesterday by 'Get Your Guide' to tell you it was cancelled" and no assistance was offered in obtaining a refund. I then contacted Get Your Guide who had absolutely no idea it had been cancelled - so they clearly hadn't sent an email yesterday to tell me (which was confirmed during the phone conversation). We'd travelled from out of town especially for this, and struggled to find an alternative restaurant with availability on Mother's Day at such short notice.
If cancelling the day before, perhaps make sure that the customers are actually informed. A quick phonecall would suffice. Instead I wasted time and money driving to and parking in York.

We are sorry that your Fish and Chips cruise was cancelled.
When you book through a 3rd Party, which in this case was Getyourguide, they do not provide us with your email address. The notice was sent to the masked email that was on the booking. I can see in the time line that this was sent on Saturday before. Please check you trash email incase.
York and the River Ouse is prone to flooding. We cannot predict when this will be. A lot of the times it can be same day. There is nothing we can do about this sadly.
The checks are done each morning and this is for the safety of the passengers, as the boats cannot sail on the flooded river.
All guests were notified by email and we did make a decision the day before.
Once again, we are sorry for the inconvenience and this was out of our control

The food was great. The weather couldn’t have been any better. Very romantic overall. Enjoyed being able to dance. You didn’t have that when we were on the dinner cruise ten years ago. 🍷

Second time paying so much money and very disappointed! I will never do this again, nor will I recommend this again to anyone. Poor service, not sanitary. And not properly staffed to serve large crowds. Never again
Not to mention they cancelled my original date, and I had to settle for what they gave me. Horrible experience!
