Great Apartment in Liverpool st
My company usually book the accommodation for us when working in other cities, sometimes we are lucky sometimes not as much but having stayed with this company already 3 times in London I have to say that they are great ! the apartments are nice and well equipped "Or at leasts the ones we stayed on", I stayed x2 times near Liverpool Street station and another time in Old street and had a great experience.
Having use this sort of accommodation before we are well use to the services offered and the entry procedure.
I was surprise seen couple of other very bad reviews but again having used this company already 3 times I have to say we were always happy with the service !
we checked-in on their offices one time and the ladies there were very friendly.
Would definitely come back !
Nice apartment near bigben
Nice apartment near bigben, we came with the family for a long weekend and had great time, having use serviced apartment before we were fully aware of the self service, ( staff could have been a bit more friendly over the phone "The first time"...) But the place was very clean and well equipped, we prefer staying in airbnbs rather than hotels as we travel in family most of times and love to cook and have more privacy.
The apartment was moments away from a supermarket and some nice restaurants, it was great for the kids for the tv "Netflix & movies" and they had some table games as well.
Things to be aware:
- Is a self service check-in and there is no reception in the building so no contact with anyone on site, however we receive everything with clear instructions and the place was easy to find and to enter.
- They only sent the Instructions on the arrival day, but as we understood key codes and details get changed every time so maybe makes sense...
- ID and some details are requested in advance to facilitate the arrival, an email was sent when we booked and they offered us the option of someone meeting us there (with a fee) to check the details or free of charge (self-service) sending all the details. We had no issues sending docs "usually airbnbs ask for it so well aware".
I stayed a 2nd time with the same company "This time For work" and everything went much better "I had a problem with my credit card and had to come to their office" but this time the team was very friendly and helpful, I arrived "10am" before the entry time "2pm".. but they allowed me to leave my bag in their office on the main time, a short walk from the booked accommodation.
Seen some of the reviews I thought it was fair mentioning the full experience, I would it probably given a 5 starts but as the first time they were not as friendly, so only got a 4.
Definitely would come back !

The place got robbed and they were very defensive and not considerate.
My family and I stayed at one of their places on Mornington Place, London. The place got robbed. That's how I want to start the review. I don't want to include any subjectivity but simply state the fact. On May 8th, when we returned to the place from sightseeing, our place was robbed. We quickly took pictures of the mess and reported to the police. We called the building manager and the property manager, but they all told us that we needed to deal with our travel insurance company, so they were of no help to us. Everything in the house was rummaged through and a total worth of $4000 valuables was stolen. I spoke to the tenants downstairs and upstairs of the building and they told us that the area is very prone to drug dealing, and they never liked the idea of this temporary rental business because of the danger that comes with it.
The neighborhood is not safe; the robber had the key to the apartment as there was no broken windows nor door - they simply walked in and took our stuff. We were arranged to receive the key to the house at the corner shop, and the student living upstairs told me that the robber must've cut the key in the process. Obviously, we spoke to the manager at City Stay London by visiting their office, but they told me that we cannot prove the robbery thus the host cannot compensate the value of our stolen goods. We are still in contact with the police, but we don't believe it will get resolved anytime soon.
All I have to say is that the place you are going to stay, someone else has the key already. I don't know if City Stay Aparts will change the lock, but even if they do, if they keep the same procedure for the key pick-up, they will cut the key again and rob you. If you want to book this property nonetheless, just DON'T bring your valuables. At the end of the day, it is up to you but I wouldn't choose to go to a place with such criminal history that could possibly ruin your trip.
City Stay Aparts claimed that there was "nothing" wrong with the place, so they couldn't refund our stay... Aside from legal perspectives, all I am saying is that when someone else has access to your rental place, it should no longer be rented out.
Terrible Customer Service, Stay Well Away!
I frequently rent short apartment stays in London when family visit me. Over the past few years, I have booked around 25 rentals. I have never had a terrible experience until my most recent rental when I tried City Stay Aparts for the first and last time. This was a shame as the apartment was very nice but the company provides the worst customer service. I picked their property because it was a great location, spec, and price. The advertised price on Booking.com was £236.20 for 2 nights. After paying I got my confirmation from both Booking.com and City Stay confirming the booking and price. It was made very clear that the reservation was non-changeable and to cancel the booking would cost me the full price.
Three days after making the booking and several days before I was due to check in I was contacted by booking, com to tell me City Stay Aparts had made a mistake on the price. The new price was an additional £147.90 so it was £73.95 per night extra. I was told that because it was a mistake by City Stay I could cancel the reservation. I booked this property in good faith based on the advertised price. It is bad practice to advertise a price and then change it. I asked could they honour the confirmed rate as it was their mistake but was told no. I then reached out to my second choice but it had already been booked. So I decided to pay the extra money as I did not have time to start looking for another option. I emailed City Stay on 06/11 expressing my disappointment with my experience. No one bothered to respond. I should have been given a reply with an apology as their mistake was costing me a lot more money.
The first night during a heavy rain I was in the master bedroom and was woken up by the sound of water. I turned on the light to see a lot of water coming through the ceiling in a few places. The water was coming through one recessed light fitting and a speaker. There was a large puddle of water on the floor which I cleaned up. I was concerned that this could cause an electrical fire so turned off the lights. I then slept on the sofa as did not feel safe in the bed. I was not able to sleep properly as I was very concerned. I checked about an hour later and it had stopped leaking so I dried the floor again. In the morning there was another puddle so I assume it had started leaking again.
I called City Stay to report the problem, the lady on the phone was very apologetic and very nice said she would send somebody to check on it. She called me later that day to ask me if I was at the apartment to let someone in but I was not. I asked her to let me know if it was safe as it was going to be another night of heavy rain. She said she would let me know. I did not hear back from anyone and I also checked my VM to see if I missed a call. No one left a message. I decided to sleep in the bed as the floor was dry when I got home. In the middle of the night, I heard water dripping again. I woke up to check and it was again leaking but mostly through the speaker this time and not as much water as the first night. I dried the floor and went down to sleep on the sofa for the second night.
I emailed City Stay 3 days ago asking someone to contact me with regards to my experience and was hoping to have heard back. But as of yet, I have not heard from anyone. So based on their lack of professionalism and the bad customer service experience I would highly recommend you do not book any of their properties.
Lovely time at Manchester City Centre.
Stayed in Manchester City centre, great location and was looked after by staff from start to finish.
We only had the smaller room would love to see some of the larger ones as they are fantastic inside & always cleaned to the highest standard.
Returning in Jan 2019 again hopefully, we can get booked into Stay City again as it's to a higher standard to surrounding competitors.
Avoid at all costs!
Where to start! Appalling customer service and communication, and very little effort and urgency in attempting to resolve the growing list of issues with the accommodation. How they think it’s acceptable to leave guests hanging around outside a property for almost 2 hours just to gain entry is beyond me! Avoid at all costs and get a hotel!
Excellent easy and comfortable stay
Excellent easy and comfortable stay. Will stay in one of their apartments again!
Great service and nice apartments !
