A guy called Nick tried to charge us £49 for delivery of x 1 second hand chair lol hmm 🤔

The guys delivered a large office cabinet to us today from Hull to our Lincoln home office. They were clean, tidy and respectful of our home. I'm part disabled, so they carried it upstairs and installed it where we needed it. The cabinet is in good condition and exactly as described. I will order from them again.

Ordered a steelcase, everything good but the chair itself was in very poor condition, some torn plastics, and the seat of the chair itself was ruined, it had what seemed like new fabric over a structurally ruined and uneven seat.

I tried using it and where the seat under the fabric is damaged, I quickly developed issues, so I now need to completely refurbish the seat myself or resell it on the basis the seat is non functional, currently sitting in the corner, worst purchase I've ever made.

Avoid this company

Friendly and patient as iam a fussy person when it comes to sitting on office chairs!

I can't even tell that I purchased a used office chair. I am so happy I invested in a proper office chair (Haworth Lively). My back and arms are happy.

They're very quick to take your money, but don't hope for any after sales support. This company is bunch of scammers, avoid them at all costs!

I bought a £600 chair from them online last year, and the one they sent me had a very obvious defect with it.

I emailed them about the defect and said I'd like a refund. They refused to refund me. I reminded them repeatedly I was entitled to a refund under distance selling law.

After 6 weeks with no satisfactory response despite getting onto them every week, I had to contact my bank to see if they'd help me get my money back. The bank rightly ruled in my favour, and said they'd return my money should the company not do so before X date.

Once the company realised the bank were going to take the money from them anyway, they were suddenly very quick to offer a refund, and asked to come collect their defective chair. One week later they collected the chair.

A further 6 weeks passed, and of course I STILL didn't have my refund. Over 3 months after requesting the refund, my bank finally stepped in and refunded me.

Save yourself hassle and avoid this company.

I ordered a Do Operator chair for my son's birthday, cost £249 plus carriage. Not cheap. It arrived THREE WEEKS later, long after his birthday, and the seat was soaking wet underneath a plastic bag. Impossible to sit on. I was told this was because they'd just arrived at the depot & been cleaned. The chair itself was poor quality, uncomfortable, cheap-feeling, plastic armrests. I saw that the price on the site had since been dropped to £199 - so although my chair arrived within that timeframe, I still paid December prices for it. I organised a return, and a swap for a Humanscale chair (on the website for £199). This took a further THREE WEEKS, and I wasn't reimbursed the £48 extra. Friendly staff, eager to please, but harassed and unreliable. Won't use again.

Good company. Bought an electric standing desk end of line for a home office for an affordable price. Delivery and installation was reasonable to. Prior to the purchase, they responded swiftly to my enquiries with further information about the product, and the purchasing process was easy. The only room for improvement with my experience is that there was a bit of a delay between submitting payment and receiving confirmation of a delivery slot.

Really pleased with my experience with City Office Furniture. Ordered an executive chair and two armchairs - they were a great price and they are all lovely pieces. Very happy. Would recommend. Delivery guys were great too.

Furniture in such a good condition it almost looks new. Disassembling current furniture and set up of new desks was seamless. I would highly recommend and buy from them again.

Having purchased two desks and only one being delivered it was agreed that i would receive a refund for the missing desk owing to it being City's error.

I am however over a month later still chasing my refund and now not receiving any response communication by email or telephone despite continually being advised i will get a response from the one person who will arrange the refund.

Thankfully, I have paid by credit card and have it in writing that the fault lies with City Office Furniture, and such will be requesting a refund via the Section 75 Act.

Communication with Chakotay (Cambridge howroom) was excellent. The chair that I had ordered was damaged during transit to the Cambridge showroom so Chakotay provided the an upgraded chair at the same price. The chair was in excellent condition and operates perfectly.

Walked into the showroom this morning as wanted to see what was on offer. We were approached by Ricky who was very friendly and helpful while showing us around the warehouse. We ended up with desks, pedestals, tall filing cabinet, media bench and stalls all matching in white and grey at a great price. All the paperwork was then processed by Charlotte who was great from start to finish and now looking forward to our delivery.
Highly recommend this company and would purchase from them again.
