They can't tell their arse from their elbow

they can't even tell who is dead or alive accusing me of claiming sole occupancy council tax discount on my house when my partner died in June 2024 leaving me living at the address alone .. very distressing .. thanks for that :-(

Very poor allocation with NHS community…

Very poor allocation with NHS community workers doing home visits. This allocation system makes the community nurses work a 'HELL' and it may cause a mass resignation of community workers due to its inefficiency to meet needs of the current situations in NHS.

They behave like a debt collection agency after 10 days of invoicing

They took more than 26 weeks to invoice me (that's more than 6 months!), after my first appointment, which means my insurance won't accept the claim. Now I'm asking myself if they have an arrangement with insurance companies to wait. On top of it, they behave like a debt collection agency after 10 days of invoicing. They started chasing payment by text and email constantly. I will ask any future doctors if they use Civica for invoicing and if they do, I will find a different doctor.

Not impressed

Not impressed. Started chasing an invoice for £100 about a week after it was raised - when I was still recovering from an operation. A text every day, three days in a row. Over the top, and annoying.

Very poor system for making invoice…

Very poor system for making invoice payments, on Android.
Insist on DOB input, but not intuitive at all, as to changing the year.
No address finder, using your postcode, as used by almost all other payment systems. Work needed on their IT.

Medical Billing From The 1980s

I attempted to pay a medical bill 3 days ago with Civica. Their online payment system refused to accept my credit card, so I repeated the payment with my debit card, which was also refused. When I checked my credit and debit card apps both payments were shown as pending, so the next day I called Civica to ask them to only take one of the pending payments. They took both. I rang back today and the lady barefaced lied to me, saying that Civica had made a refund to my credit card. I checked the credit card app while she was talking to me and no credit had been made. When I accussed her of lying she got very flustered and put me on hold for about 10 minutes. I thought she had hung up, but she did come back. She had spoken to a colleague and explained to me that Civica could only make refunds by issuing a cheque, which would take 2 weeks to raise! I told her it wasn't the 1980s and that Civica would need to make a digital refund to my debit card or I would make a formal complaint to my medical facility. The lady then said that Civica had had so many issues with their system that their workloads were completely out of control dealing with refunds and complaints. She finally agreed to make a digital refund to my card on Friday, by which time Civica will have had my money for 6 days. If you have to deal with this company avoid their online system and use their telephone system to make payments.

Often people paying medical bills are unwell or elderly, and would be more easily fobbed off by Civica's incompetence and dishonesty. It really is a concerning and very poor service.

Unimpressive performance

This company's bread and butter is the payment of invoices for private medical services, which may amount to thousands of pounds, yet it only accepts credit cards or cheques. It does not allow bank transfers, which is limiting. I paid by credit card and was told there was an error and the payment was not taken. I tried again thinking there had been a typo, but received the same error message. It turns out they had in fact taken payment for the invoice, twice. Incompetent.
