They refused to rent a car to me because I had flown into Turkey yesterday. They said that they don't rent cars to Turkish citizens who have been Turkey for more than 24 hours. This racist policy should be illegal.

the guy from the reception Antalya branch named as fikret just cancelled the booking without bothering to explain why I should to pay extra in cash after paying with a bank card.
for your information, international practice is a credit card with which you can hold-on the deposit amount and not demand cash, secondly, your employee behaved aggressively, thirdly, I wanted to pay with a card but your employee cancelled the reservation.
Fourthly have I rented car from Sixt rent car at once as left your branch for 4 days for 7 004 TL insted of 300 EUR from Çizgi and hold on deposit from the card was 750 TL insted of 300 $USD by cash from Çizgi, fifthly the fish rots from the head, I see in the attitude towards customers

I book a car in front. When i was at the airport i was not able to pay. They didnt accept Visa. No Mastercard and no cash. no possibility to pay. Other company have just 1 very small car. It affects all my stay in turkey. I will never book by Cizgi. Never happen in 40 country. And on top i have to take care my bookin will be delete by my own. Write mails and follow. A lot of stress for nothing.

I’m extremely disappointed with Cizgi Rent a Car due to the abrupt cancellation of my reservation without any notice or explanation. This happened at the airport, right after I arrived, at the company’s counter, leaving me in a very inconvenient and stressful situation.
I booked a car 10 days in advance to ensure a smooth experience after my long 6-hour flight. However, upon reaching the rental counter in the airport, I was informed that my booking had been canceled "Just now" by the company. No reasons were provided, and the employee offered no assistance in resolving the situation.
I provided all the required documents—my passport, valid driving license, ID, and a physical credit card—but this made no difference.
The lack of communication, transparency, and customer care is unacceptable. This experience has left me stranded and frustrated, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before relying on this company.

We had booked a car at Europcar in Sabiha Gokchen in Istanbul. We arrived at 01:00 in the night and their creditcard machine was not working. They left us without a car in the middel of the night.
Luckily somebody from our flight spoke Turkish as nobody at the desk was able to speak English. He talked for us with Emin at Avec who was able to help me. He didn't take advantage of the situation and rented us a better car against the same rate as at Europcar. Everything was done in a few minutes. We are very thankful that Emin was able to help and so kind.

If you want to rent a car online, it is cheaper. However, online listings show cars as not available, but when you visit the sales office, they are available at an extra cost.

Quite a negative experience.
1. At Istanbul airport, the guy who checked the car with us told us that comprehensive insurance add-on is 20 Euro but we were charged 25 Euro at the office.
2. The fuel tank was empty. He told us to top up and keep the receipt to get a refund later. However, the office at Antalya Airport said we should have returned an empty car and it is not the company policy to refund. This is despite that the handover document clearly stated that the car was empty and the fuel tank gauge was full at the return point. The manager at the Antalya Airport kept hiding behind the company policy thus provided very poor customer service.
3. The car maintenance service alarm came on midway. When we call the hotline, we were told that the car was serviced recently and we can ignore the alarm. The service interval should have been reset if the car was indeed serviced.
4. If the car was serviced, then the Adblue tank should have been top up. This was not the case and we have to purchase the Adblue and top up ourself.
5. Midway through our journey, the display panel went dead with a blue screen, apparently due to a software upgrade not done. We cannot use the navigation system nor control the aircon. The car control come back online only if we stop the car overnight. So for all the intermittent stops for sightseeing, we have to use our phone for navigation and lived with the old aircon setting.
