Extremely frustrating decking order

Unfortunately this will be the last time I use Cladco.
I’ve spent thousands with them previously and assuming the next order with be smoother than the last only to be disappointed.
There boards are reasonably priced but delivery times extortionate. Lead times are ridiculous and sporadic.
My recent order was delayed due to
Stock numbers. That’s fine and was discussed with the sales rep and I paid. He offered a lead time of 3/4 weeks. The sales team said as soon as the stock arrived they’d email me so I had at least as a minimum 1 weeks notice before they dispatch it. I needed that time to schedule plans as I was due to be abroad for a week at the end of the month. The sales guy said he completely understood and put a note on the system.
Long story short 3 weeks later I’m on holiday and I receive a text saying my deckings scheduled for tomorrow. Fantastic!
I call cladco on my holiday speak to the sales team they say they’ll delay it by a week. Brilliant! The customer service id expect.
Couple of hours pass I get a call back. They want to charge me another delivery fee to change it?? I reluctantly decline as they didn’t uphold there end of the deal. (Hundreds of £’s btw for shipping costs)..
she’s says no I completely understand I’m confident we can waiver the cost and rectify the situation. She says she’ll email me if anything changes.
Finally a resolution!
I wake up the next day again on holiday to a missed call. I call back Delivery driver says he’s off loaded all the decking in my front garden. £1500 worth of decking sitting on my lawn now.
No way of me being able to move it as I’m in a foreign country. I’m new to the area I live in so I don’t know people locally that can move it for me (not that they should have too).
Anyway I don’t know if it will be there when I arrive home I can only cross my fingers. It’s caused me so much stress and quite frankly put a bit of a downer on my holiday.
I’m at a loose end now and let’s be frank if it goes missing they’re not taking any responsibility!
The delivery driver said he has constant problems with cladco which I worrying. But he said it’s out of his control! I’m so fed up of this unprofessional decking company! It’s great untill it comes to deliverys times and costs.
They promise the world and don’t follow through.
Very very disappointed.

We understand the frustration this situation has caused you, and we sincerely apologise for the disruption to your plans and the impact on your holiday.

Having spoken to colleagues involved and reviewed the timeline in more detail, we’d like to clarify what happened. Your order was passed to our haulier on 22nd July. At that stage, we had not been made aware of any specific dates to avoid for delivery. The following day, a note was added to your order advising that you were on holiday and unable to receive delivery until after your return. As the order had already been dispatched to our haulier, we contacted them immediately to request a reschedule. They confirmed they would remove the planned delivery and apply a redelivery charge due to the short notice.

We then contacted you to explain the situation. You mentioned that you'd informed a sales team member of your holiday at the time of placing the order. As there had been multiple team members involved in the process, and in light of the miscommunication, we agreed not to pursue the redelivery charge further.

We have since been made aware that, despite our request, the delivery still went ahead on the originally planned date. This was not something we authorised, and we will be raising this with our haulier directly to understand why our instruction to reschedule was not followed.

We fully appreciate the stress this has caused, and we're truly sorry that the handling of this delivery fell short of expectations.

Thank you again for your feedback. We are taking this seriously and will continue to work on improving our internal communication and delivery coordination with our partners. If there is anything further we can do to support you now that you're back, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

If I could put negative stars I would…

If I could put negative stars I would have done it. Very bad experience with Cladco UK, I placed an order for a decking floor and its underlying and so far everything is fine (in short, 190 pounds for delivery is an authorised theft). I gave all the customer's delivery details in addition to giving my number to be notified of the delivery day All this happened in April. They rely on an external company for the delivery and these without warning anyone try to deliver for the first time without notifying anyone, resulting in a missed delivery because the customer was not at home. We agree on a second delivery and I am informed that the goods will be delivered from 08.00 to 17.00 on a day in June, result they deliver at 7.10 in the morning and the customer refuses the delivery and I who show up at 08.00 in the morning do not find the goods. Third delivery attempt I am notified by the customer that they are about to deliver (again the driver does not call me) I arrive at the place with the goods already deposited on the road (they do not deliver at home and they steal 190 pounds) and I realise that the goods are wrong, so I tell the driver to bring everything back and ask for a refund. I waited more than 1 month to get my money back and they stole 190 pounds of delivery (never returned). Don't buy from this company and from the third world, the customer service is bad and their delivery company is the worst you can have.

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re genuinely sorry to hear how frustrating your experience has been. We completely understand your disappointment, particularly around the delivery process, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused by the repeated attempts.

That said, we do feel it’s important to clarify a few points. Your order was handled by our external delivery partner. While we provide delivery windows and request that drivers call ahead where possible, this cannot always be guaranteed. Delivery was first attempted on 8th May, but the driver was unable to get a response at the property. Following further communication from our team on 20th May, another attempt was arranged.

On 10th June, you requested a refund rather than proceed with another delivery attempt, which we fully understood. To complete that process, we asked for photos of the incorrect goods as part of our standard returns procedure — this helps us resolve issues accurately and avoid further errors. As of now, we’ve not received those images.

We remain happy to assist with resolving this, and a member of our Customer Support team will follow up with you directly.

Finally, while we absolutely recognise your frustration, we must address the language used in your review. Comparing our company or service to the “third world” is inappropriate and goes against the respectful communication we expect on all platforms. Our team works hard to support customers fairly and professionally, and we ask for that same courtesy in return.

Terrible product

Firstly Cladco sent my whole order incorrect colour and finish, they did however exchange it all but the project had to be delayed as it took 3 wks to change. They then repeatedly delivered the bullnose boards scratched I must of exchanged over 8 times, each time waiting 3 wks for delivery. I then paid to have it all fitted by a qualified fitter. The sub frame was extremely high quality. After only one year the boards faded greatly, of course some fading is expected but they look like completely different boards. I always used a cover under furniture but they still scratched. 3 boards have now split and Cladco have said it’s all fitted incorrectly so they won’t honour the guarantee. Surely all boards would split if fitted incorrectly. I would of given no stars if it would of let me.

We fully understand how frustrating the delays and repeated exchanges must have been, and we sincerely apologise for the initial delivery errors and the scratched boards you received. At the time, we took these concerns seriously and worked to resolve them by providing free-of-charge replacements and issuing a 50% refund on the affected items. We’re sorry that this still resulted in significant delays to your project.

Regarding the issues you've raised with the decking boards, we have reviewed the images you provided and based on what we can see, the boards appear to have been installed in a way that does not meet the recommendations in our installation guide. While we understand you used a qualified fitter and describe the subframe as high quality, even a well-built frame can result in damage to the boards if they are not fixed according to the correct method. Boards that are incorrectly installed may be subject to excessive strain, which can lead to problems such as splitting over time. Unfortunately, in these circumstances, the product warranty does not apply. As outlined in our terms, failure to follow the recommended installation guidance will invalidate the product warranty, and unfortunately, in this case, the issues appear to stem from how the boards have been fitted.

In terms of fading, all composite decking products go through a natural weathering process within the first few months after installation. This is not a fault, but rather an expected result of the wood fibres within the board reacting to sunlight and moisture. Based on the photos you shared with our team, the colour change appears to fall within what we would consider normal for our products.

We’re genuinely sorry that this has been your experience and regret that you’ve been left feeling so dissatisfied. If there’s anything further we can do to assist or clarify, please don’t hesitate to contact our Customer Support Team directly.

Joke of Company

Ordered 43sqm of decking from this company and was advised it would be delivered within 5 working days. On the day it was due to be delivered I received a call that afternoon to say that the decking wouldn't be delivered today and it would be delivered in a further 6 days, bearing in mind I had the workmen here ready to install. I was advised that my order would be delivered on 8th July at the latest and then received another call to say that the delivery would be sent to Leeds and then another haulage firm would deliver it after that but they couldn't give a time as to when the order would actually be delivered! I would not use this company again or recommend them to anyone. They were quick enough to take the money at order but not so quick to ensure that the order is delivered on time.

A very positive experience from start…

A very positive experience from start to finish. I phoned Cladco and was dealt with in a very friendly and professional manner. Before my order turned up the driver phoned to let me know the ETA.
The driver was friendly and helpful upon arrival. I will definitely use this company again.

Good product, poor customer service & late delivery

So far the quality of this decking seems very good, and our installer is busy laying it now. I’m happy with the finish so far, but we’ve had a poor experience with customer service and delivery (like other customers). Their website states 5 working days delivery, the confirmation e-mail of my order states 5 working days, and when I called up the day after I ordered I was told it would be processed and I would receive it within 5 working days. Delivery took over two weeks and I had to reschedule my installer twice. Customer service seemed surprised that I was talking 5 days when they currently operating to 10 working days… I was made to feel like I was in the wrong, as if I should have know this even though nothing told me that they would be running so behind. I imagine composite decking is available from many different supplier, next time I would be inclined to go with a company with better communication and customer service so as not to mess my installers about

We completely understand how disruptive delays can be, especially when they affect scheduled installation. Although we aim to deliver within 5 working days, as stated on our website, this is an estimated timeframe and not a guaranteed date. During periods of high demand, such as the summer months, deliveries may take longer than usual. We understand how disruptive delivery delays can be, especially when they impact scheduled labour. To help avoid situations like this, we do strongly advise customers not to book labour until all goods have arrived and been checked.
 
We are also sorry you were made to feel as though you were in the wrong when querying your delivery. That should not have been the case, and your feedback has been passed on to our Customer Support Team to help ensure a better response in future.

Board quality and customer service…

Board quality and customer service dreadful .

Customer service some of the worst I have ever seen . Okehampton branch . Never seen so many people at a branch stood around doing nothing . When you call them they are rude and abrupt. When you go to the store you wait 40 minutes to get served. The quality of the decking boards are shocking, they faded within days and stain instantly.

DO NOT BUY FROM CLADCO.

Purchased eleven signature cladding…

Purchased eleven signature cladding boards and some batons via my installer, although the product appears ok, it’s only been up a couple of months, their delivery service is dreadful.
It’s expensive, nearly £200 if you spend less than £1500, it was terribly slow, it took nearly three and a half weeks to arrive after dispatch and when it did arrive it was short of some batons, so the fitting was further delayed. I can only suggest that if you are thinking of having cladding then use a local supplier with cheaper or even no delivery charges.

Warped panels. No warranty.

I had over 40 fence panels installed using the Cladco composit product.
Most boards are warping and each sections looks like a banana.
I tried to get into contact with Cladco to get advice,but they hide behind GDPR, because my installer ordered the panels.
Please be aware:
1. The Cladco fence panels are warping and look aweful after a few months.
2. There is no warranty, support or help if you did not buy the panels yourself.
3. The support/ complaints team will hang up on you

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the concerns you've raised and that your experience hasn’t met expectations. The issues you've described with your fencing boards are not something we would typically expect from our products, and we would like the opportunity to investigate this further.
 
With regards to the order, as it was placed by your installer, we are required to follow GDPR regulations and cannot access or discuss details of third-party orders without the appropriate authorisation. This isn’t us trying to withhold support; it’s a legal requirement we must adhere to in order to protect customer data. That said, we’ve reached out to request the relevant order details so we can look into the matter further, but we have not yet received a response.

We’re also sorry to hear that you believe one of our team hung up on you. After reviewing our phone records, we have not found any evidence of a conversation with our Customer Support Team under your name. We completely understand how frustrating this must have felt, and we’d like to reassure you that our team would never intentionally end a call in that way. If this was your experience, we sincerely apologise.

received our sample the next day from ordering them. Quality product. we will strongly consider a new patio using this product.

AVOID

AVOID. Don't waste your money like we did!!!
Haven't even bothered contacting the company as looking at other responses, unlikely to get any compensation. Brought composite decking around 2 years ago. Initially it was great. Delivery was fast and it looked beautiful. Thinking this would be a great option for our disabled son, to allow him safety outside in the garden. First year it discoloured, second year it has split and twisted and then a few days ago I put my foot through the decking. Just thankful it wasn't one of my kids that got hurt. Having to rip up several thousand pounds worth of decking today which is absolutely gutting. Ripping it up and watching it literally just split so easily is awful and shows how horrendous this product is. This was installed as per the manufacturer's guidelines. I rarely leave reviews but don't want people making the same mistake we did! Shame I can't add photos as we have plenty to show how awful this and dangerous this is!!

I was a customer of Lawrences and his…

I was a customer of Lawrences and his father when they started out in a small unit in Hatherleigh, where they would help you load and make sure you were happy, so went back to them for some box profile sheets and to my disgust was told, we cannot put them on your roof rack as it has upstands, I asked if the forklift could be raised in line so I could slide them on, no cant do that, we will put them on the floor behind your truck, ok could you give me a hand to put them on the roof rack, no not allowed, so all these young fit people watched a 67 year old struggle to put these sheets on the roof of his truck. Went to South west fixings for ply and they loaded it onto my truck roof rack no problem, went to RGB and had the same help. I am afraid that you have lost sight of customer care and are quite happy to make me and other customers risk damage and injury in your car park because your insurance says you are not allowed. Won't use you again.

That said, over the years, legal obligations, health and safety standards, and insurance requirements have evolved significantly.

These changes now place strict limitations on how we can assist with vehicle loading, particularly when there is a risk to the safety of customers, our staff, or the public.
