Responsive, knowledgeable and helpful

Jordan was responsive, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the process, which made everything much less stressful. I was reminded monthly of when to submit evidence and when payment would be made.

The only thing I wish I’d checked beforehand was what would be considered a reasonable number of job applications and how much time would realistically be allowed for interview preparation. I wasn’t sure if I was doing too little or too much until the second month, and job searching/interview prep can be emotionally and mentally exhausting.

Overall, I’m very grateful I had this cover in place when I needed it.

Systematically they are taking £61.65…

Systematically they are taking £61.65 from my account even today when they assured me my payment will go through. It hasn't, although I have sent about 40 emails with detailed documentation related to my job hunting. Their service is appalling, I did trust me but they left me now in financial difficulties. They are not offering any service

Painfully difficult process when I needed support most

My experience with ClaimsCog has been extremely frustrating.

After a serious accident in January 2026, I was sent a 48-page claim form PDF that was not even properly set up as a fillable form. Because I had multiple serious injuries, broken bones, and virtually no use of my hands, it took me over 3 weeks to manually overlay text in this huge form.

Then, after all that time and effort, I spotted errors in the form itself and emailed ClaimsCog to query it. Seven days later, they replied admitting there had been “an administrative error within the documentation” and sent me a corrected version. The corrected version was actually a fillable PDF, which would have been extremely helpful if that had been provided from the start rather than after I had already spent weeks struggling through the original one.

ClaimsCog also appears to work very closely with Best Insurance as part of the same overall claim process, so from a customer point of view it is hard to separate the two when the communication problems seem to run across both.

Because of my condition, I contacted them to explain I was struggling and asked clearly whether the delay in returning the form would delay the first payout. I was told in writing that “there will be no delay to when your payment period will begin”.

I then submitted the completed form and supporting documents, including ID and bank statements, and was repeatedly told things would be reviewed promptly, that someone would be in touch that week, and that they would confirm whether anything further was needed.

Meanwhile, the actual lived experience has been poor communication, missed expectations, and being left in limbo while in serious financial hardship. Their earlier line saying they were there to “provide support and ensure a smooth experience for you” would be funny if the situation were not so serious.

At one point I was literally emailing from an ambulance on the way to A&E trying to confirm whether they had received my documents. That probably says enough about how this process has gone.

I have been left without income, in arrears with rent, and struggling to afford basics, while this drags on. I am now simply hoping the payout is made soon, because at this point it is vital for my survival.

Almost 3 months since my accident, and no decision yet.. Based on my experience, I cannot say the process has been smooth, supportive or well managed.

Very pleased with everything.

I took out 2 x Unemployment (and sickness) insurance policies totalling £4k ish with Bestinsurance 4 years ago.

After 9 years in a role i was made redundant in December, i claimed mid December and by the first week of March we'd finished and it was sent for a decision. The length of time it takes is due to them essentially doing the underwriting when you claim, as obviously it's not possible before you claim.

Today i was approved for both policies, with the first payment due in a few weeks.

Everything went smoothly enough, albeit the claim process dragged on. It's worth mentioning Bestinsurance again (as ultimately, my policy was purchased through them, Claimscog is the claim handler) if you take a look at their Trustpilot review page, it'll mainly be negative. And while i was waiting for my claim to be approved, this weighed heavily in my mind. So many people moaning about getting declined.

Thankfully, if you actually read the reviews, you'll notice 95% of them are people who got rejected for a reason THEY didn't fully understand (excess period, company ownership, waiting periods etc). You essentially just buy the policy of Best Insurance, and then that's it. You're dealing with Claimscog moving forward if you need to make a claim, and so far, so good.

Excellent support

During an extremely stressful period of my life having been unemployed for 6 months, I have been so grateful that I had redundancy insurance through Claimscog.
They made the entire claim process very straight forward and the team are very quick to respond and always extremely supportive and professional, which is just what was needed in my time of need.
I highly recommend Claimscog and and am sincerely grateful for their support.

Absolutely amazing experience

Absolutely amazing experience: Claimscog team and Jamie W. went to a great length and did support me during the timeframe of the entire claim. All my questions were answered and concerns addressed, which helped navigating the stressful situation as it was approx 6 months process due to complexity of case.

Professional service level

I have to be honest I was dreading making this claim as I thought they would make the process difficult. Don’t get me wrong you have to supply a lot of documentation but the service provided particularly by India Nicholson who handle my claim was very good. She was always quick in replying to any questions I had and kept me informed throughout.
