After consulting numerous stone masons in Glasgow. I decided that Clark Stonemasonry was my best option. They completed the work professionally and dealt with any unexpected issues as they occurred. Job was done in a timely manner & I would recommend Clark Stonemasonry to anyone who is looking for this type of work to be carried out.

Simon is an exceptional stonemason. From the first meeting through to the end of the job he was professional, knowledgeable, quick to reply and reliable. We rate Simon so highly that we have since instructed him to carry out work to our new home and know that we are in safe hands.

Simon is really knowledgeable guy and well known around the southside for doing great work on the red sandstones

He and his associate carried out repairs to our loose parapet wall back in August, they done a fantastic job in securing the wall and repointing he even went over and beyond and fixed the lead flashing on the roof.

I wouldn't hesitate to use him again and recommend him any time someone is in need of a stonemason.

When looking for a traditional stonemason to repoint our sandstone property, Clark Stonemasonry stood out for their positive reviews and Simon’s highly relevant experience. They gave a competitive quote and came across as very knowledgeable and professional and were our first choice. Simon also gave us the option to split the work into smaller jobs, making it affordable for us to do. When carrying out the work, Simon and his colleague were highly professional and personable (my 2 year old thought they were great!), and tidied after themselves. Simon was also able to liaise with the electric company to safely manage the scaffolding and the fact that mains electricity comes into the property via an overhead cable. The work was carried out to a very high standard, and I’ve appreciated Simon’s advice on sequencing the repointing with other work we need to get done. We look forward to Simon coming back to work with us again next year, and cannot recommend him and Clark Stonemasonry highly enough.

Simon did a great job repointing and repairing stonework on the front and back of the house. One of the best, most honest tradespeople I’ve had doing work on the house.

Simon Clark took £806.40 deposit for a job that’s going to start 6 months later. He then postponed the job by a month then another month. Now, we don’t know when the job is going to start as we can’t reach him.

Warning to whoever thinking about using this company, think twice before you pay the deposit.

Simon did an excellent job repointing and repairing the back wall of our house. He is very professional, and the standard of his workmanship is first class. We also needed a Lintel replaced - Simon kept us fully informed of the work required to do this and it was all carried out expertly. Care was taken to leave the work area clean and tidy at the end of each day and communication was good throughout. We are very pleased with the end result.

Simon was booked to do some restoration work on the front of our red sandstone terrace house, including repair work from a previous "bad job". His workmanship is excellent, and we are very pleased with the result. Everything was left tidy after he finished and all debris cleared away. We found him to be a very pleasant, trustworthy person who takes pride in his work.

Simon replaced our badly weathered sandstone bay window mullions and made various repairs to eroded and worn sandstone at the front and back of our terraced 100 year + old house. He was a pleasure to deal with, punctual, efficient and all costs were agreed in advance. He also arranged for all rubbish to be uplifted promptly by an external contractor once the job was finished. He was recommended to us by neighbours and I've seen him working on other houses in our area so good news obviously travels! We'd definitely use Simon's services again and wholeheartedly recommend him.

Simon did a truly wonderful job on our 4 storey townhouse. He was timely, careful, tidy and understood exactly what the facade of our house needed. We are already planning to have Simon work on the side and back of our house.

Received 2 costs to rake out and repoint entire house, red sandstone building inclusive of 2 turrets Clark’s where half the price of other company Simon done a tremendous job over the moon with end result would recommend Clark’s stone masonry 110%, Simon keeps you updated on the progress, Simon was here for around 4 weeks and in the 4 weeks he was here passers by neighbours etc could see what an excellent job he was doing before and after where asking for his details to cost for their houses, so if you require any stone masonry work pointing or stone replacing or building using stone Clark’s are the 1st choice, and it was only when Simon had finished he informed me he served his time with historical Scotland the finish shows he really knows his job to this day I can’t believe the difference it’s made to our property makes the stone come alive.

Simon has repointed the back and gable end of my house and made an excellent job of it. He was very good at communicating and explaining the work, and provided a very reasonable quote.
He worked hard each day and ensured the job was completed on time.

After multiple sub standard repairs over the years to the chimney on our 150yr old property, we are absolutely delighted with the quality of Simon’s workmanship.
