They are not refunding my credit

They are not refunding my credit that I have asked for more than 2 months ago.

First they told me to check the terms & conditions, which I have. After telling them that nowhere in the terms & conditions it says that I can’t get back my money (which is btw illegal as no service has been provided), they kept sending me screenshots of the terms & conditions, but completely unrelated to my request or in different language. I asked them to send me the accurate terms and conditions, which they never did. After asking plenty of times about my refund they just keep telling me to wait and someone else will take care of it. Still to this day I haven’t received any refund. They just stole my money… not recommending this company.

Edit 26th May: Classgap actually contacted Trustpilot to take down my review. I cannot believe it! This just makes the company shadier than it already is…

Flexible, intuitivo y de calidad

Mucha flexibilidad para escoger horarios (además, se puede cancelar si hay un imprevisto avisando con tiempo). La plataforma es cómoda e intuitiva. El canal de comunicación con la profesora está muy bien: la profe puede colgar los materiales vistos durante la clase. También está adaptada a todos los dispositivos (ordenado, tablet y móvil). La profesora que tengo es muy buena y profesional. Se prepara las clases y me da deberes que corrige.
Como sugerencia: se podría dejar grabada la clase (con la autorización de la profesora) para poder consultarla en caso de dudas. También el sistema de notificación por el que te avisa de que vas a tener una clase en X horas no siempre te avisa (en mi experiencia).

A lot of flexibility to choose schedules (in addition, it can be canceled if there is an unforeseen event with advance notice). The platform is comfortable and intuitive. The communication channel with the teacher is very good: the teacher can upload the materials seen during the class. It is also adapted to all devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile). The teacher I have is very good and professional. She prepares the classes and gives me homework that she corrects.
As a suggestion: the class could be recorded (with the teacher's authorization) to be able to consult it in case of doubts. Also, the notification system that warns you that you are going to have a class in X hours does not always warn you (in my experience).

Fraudulent charges and coupons

Classgap sent me 5% off coupon if I booked that same day. I went ahead and booked 10 classes and the coupon was applied to the total.

At the end of the transaction, there was no receipt of the total emailed to me which was fishy. So I went to check my credit card log where I saw that they charged for the full amount, instead of the discounted amount that had appeared on the screen.

When I wrote customer service they came up with some excuse to not refund the 5% difference. All they can come up with is to offer another 5% off code for the future.
1. Why would I ever book with Classgap again if the price stated isn't the price charged? Why would I ever risk doing that again?

2. This outright FRAUD.

Added on April 11th:

The reply I have received from Classgap today has been no different to the previous one. They are not offering any reimbursement of the extra charge. They want me to trust another 5% coupon for a future purchase. I was cheated by that exact coupon already. Why would I ever do that again. Please BEWARE.
If they reply with a satisfactory solution I will update again.

Update: Finally, they did offer to refund the difference or provide a free class. However, this should have been offered at the very beginning to avoid wasting everyone's time and effort.

2nd issue - The teacher isn't showing up to class nor responding to messages. I have reached out to classgap requesting a refund so that I can book with another teacher but they have not replied. In the meantime I have had to pay again for class with a new teacher and can't use the classes that were paid for.

No refund

Terms of service predict absolutley no refund for a student under any circumstances. I paid for 22 lessons, my teacher keeps postponing them and we only had one so far. I won't get my money back if lessons won't happen.

Edit : even if there is a refund option within 30 days from payment, it won't apply later. Finding another teacher would be unlikely to solve the problem.
I can't say teacher lost my trust and I already want a refund - the only lesson that happened was very good, but in case if something goes wrong, I have no trust a refund will be available.

By accessing our terms and conditions, you can read that Classgap has two types of refunds in these cases.

Either by the same payment method used at the time of purchase, as long as no more than 30 days have passed since the date of payment of the classes.

Or in the form of Classgap balance, this balance will be reflected in your personal area, in the top right-hand side of the "Balance" menu and when you make a new payment the system will show you the corresponding balance amount to be deducted from your new purchase. You will have the balance in your account for 12 months to use it.

We know it is a bit overwhelming to find the right teacher, so if you tell us the type of classes you are looking for, we will contact you to help you find your ideal teacher.

Very bad service

I transfered money to my Classgap account in order to have my first lesson. Everytime I tried to book a class I was told that there was a system error and to try later. I booked it because I had a language assesment and I needed to practice but finally I did the exam without practising. I don't longer need it and my money is still there because they don't do refunds. Sent an email and still waiting for response after 2 months. Very bad service 👎🏼

I paid for a package of 10 lessons with…

I paid for a package of 10 lessons with a teacher on this platform. After the second course, they deleted all my programmed courses saying they had problems with my credit card. But they lied because my credit card company charged all the money and now I have to pay it. They never responded my last emails.
This platform is a scam. They are thieves !!!!!!

I really appreciate my classes with Ivan

I really appreciate my classes with Ivan. He has a great way of teaching that is personalized to my needs.
Overall - my experience with this app has been very good. I especially liked the individual teacher’s videos to present themselves which helped me select the best person for me. It is easy to see the various time slots and the video quality during lessons is great.
My only critique would be for the initial interview process. I originally selected someone else but the connection wasn’t good and cut off. It was then impossible to redo the interview. It would have been nice to have a second try but at least gave me a chance to meet Ivan who is fantastic.

Payment made, service not provided, no refunds...

Paid in advance to request a lesson from an instructor (as required by the website) and the highly recommended instructor simply ignored the request and never responded to multiple messages. Another instructor repeatedly canceled lessons with no notice (sometimes after the starting time of the lesson), so there was no point in scheduling further lessons.
Of course, this is the responsibility of the instructors, but the website informed me that they do not give refunds. This means that you are spending money with no guarantee that the service you're paying for will be provided. Since the website is really just a neutral platform for freelancers, there is no mechanism by which instructors are held to any sort of standard (there is no law requiring that the reviews on the website itself are accurate or genuine).
Almost a "scam", although probably not in the strictest legal sense. Literally took my money (and my time) for nothing and got away with it.

Update: Classgap, or a Customer Review Management company they employ, has contacted me regarding this review and requested that I contact them at their standard customer support email address. I already had multiple exchanges with Classgap through their customer support email and I was told in clear terms that they do not give refunds under any circumstances, including the situation I described above.

Awful

Awful. Tutors are extremely low quality, were unable to answer my questions or answered them incorrectly.

One tutor didn’t even show up at the appointed time. When I contacted class gap they would only give me credit for the unused classes instead of refunding. I advise staying away from their apalling tutors and service.

EDIT: Notice how they reply about finding me a new teacher instead? Don’t take classgap’s guarantee that they will refund you if you are not satisfied with the lesson. It’s all lies!
To the reply below: There are no other tutors that specialise in the subject on your site so a “credit” is useless. Will be taking this to with paypal

EDIT 2: ClassGap tried their best to take my review down, claiming I didn’t provide “evidence” or “correct contact info” despite them previously emailing me to that email I gave them! Horrible company.

Never chose Classgap

After 7 emails in 5 weeks and 1 review on Trustpilot, I finally got 1 email from Classgap,in that email they can only refund my money into Classgap balance.
With my terrible experence on Classgap I wrote back that I want a refund to my bankaccount.
Guess what happened? I got ignored again.Even though I sent 3 emails to their support team, there is no reply since 15/9.
Its unbelievable what this platform is capable of.
