Rob has worked on three project vehicles for me, two of which were complete body off restorations. I have found Rob a pleasure to deal with, he has a great knowledge of the older vehicle and appreciates the detailing we expect when we entrust work him. I have more work in the pipeline and I will have no hesitation to going to Rob again. Highly recommended.
Classic Custom Works is a real gem. Its run by Rob and Gem, Rob takes care of the bodyshop, paint booth and mechanical work and Gem runs the office. Good team. What you get here is a highly personal service by people who love what they do and know how to do it. My car is pretty unusual, a lot of parts are no longer available and most workshops dont want to know or will charge you handsomely for unnecessary work while avoiding the awkward issues. For example I had a suspected fuel leak which two larger garages agonised over replacing injectors, gaskets, boot seals you name it. Cost me a fortune but still stank of fuel. It took Rob one hour to find a miniscule pinhole in a fuel pipe near the tank that was spraying a fine mist of fuel over the spare wheel housing. Part was unavailble from Benz but this was no problem for Rob: he talked to his mate who makes pressure hoses, transferred one unique union from old to new hose and hey presto problem solved. Simply speaking I can’t recommend CCW highly enough.

I am undertaking a nut and bolt restoration of a 1969 Alfa Spider. The shell was entrusted to Rob to straighten, weld, smooth and paint. The result is a car better than it left the factory, even the bits that nobody will ever see! Rob's knowledge, passion and skill is second to none

Top Man Rob
Rob of Classic & Custom Works has recently sprayed two projects for us, a GT6 mk1 and an Aston Zagato replica, and the results are terrific.
Rob was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Both projects were being done to a budget and under Rob’s guidance we completed much of the prep-work before delivery to Classic & Custom Works. The cars were then finally prepped by Rob, sprayed and polished.
The results are absolutely magnificent.

I have used Rob at Classic and Custom Works for past 16 years working on my various Rover 3ltr andP5b models. In May 23 Rob rebuilt the o/s rear tonneau panel on my P5B, that had badly rusted. The result was excellent and colour match perfect and all at an affordable price. To be recommended

Rob is a very experienced and skillful classic car bodywork and paint specialist. The remedial respray on my car was beautifully colour-matched, and with the replacement pinstripes the whole body was lifted to great finish. Very pleased with the result.
