We visited beautiful destinations with informative, friendly guides. All of the hotels and restaurants were good. We loved local visits and tastings, e.g. with a winemaker and a truffle farmer.

The only suggestion is since our days were quite long, an option would be for staying at one site and using it as the base. We traveled 6 six days and stayed at 3 beautiful chateaus/hotels and really did not get a chance to unwind much in each as our days were packed hiking and doing all the unique day trips on our itinerary. Loved all the accommodations and the people who we encountered at each. Our guide, Isabelle was like a sister to us by the end whose English was excellent and catered to our desires of where to travel and what to see based on the weather, etc; our driver, Jane was an excellent, careful, and safety conscious driver and also a wonderful person.

The sites selected for visits were important and diverse ranging from the Roman aqueduct, the Pont-du-Gard, to a modern olive oil factory. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the art, culture, and history of the region and quite attentive to our mobility limitations. Our driver was also excellent and knew the backroads and shortcuts completely. The hotels and meals were all of top quality as were two visits to local markets.
