Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 783 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the service, finding it to have significant limitations, especially concerning usage and message limits, even with paid subscriptions. Customers also frequently reported issues with the artificial intelligence, noting its shallow reasoning, inability to perform basic tasks, and occasional unreliability. The pricing and subscription model were also a major source of frustration, with many feeling it was not worth the cost due to the restrictive usage policies. Though some customers found the artificial intelligence to be exceptionally good for various tasks and even praised its capabilities, a significant number of people were dissatisfied with the overall user experience. They reported problems with the AI getting stuck, erasing chat history, and providing inconsistent or incomplete outputs, making it unsuitable for serious work like software development or professional tasks.

Claude's useless token usage

I've just switched from Gemini to Claude Pro a day ago, and am completely disappointed with it's capabilities, consuming all available tokens on a small project after only around 10 messages (or even less).
I was a user before that as well, working with the free version to try it out, and I'm shocked to find out that I am able to work longer on the free version, than the "Pro" paid one.
Definetely won't be be buying another month until the token issue is fixed, because it's literally useless in an efficient work environment (not needing to take a 3 hour break after 10 messages in a conversation).

Massive Degradation

I pay for max. Claude has started refusing to interact with small requests and data given to it. If you ask it to read a 100 line file it will guess what is in there or tell you to read it. If you ask it to do two simple tasks it will do one. If you give it the same simple problem twice, it will treat the second problem that has the same symptoms as entirely new and make the same mistakes.

All this around the time the source code gets leaked so the model is available online free. It should have gotten better to justify its price tag, instead it got worse.

"Our new model, Mythos, is so good it's not for the public" people that believe this are disappointing. It's excellent PR for a gullible public. In reality Mythos was leaked on day one and nothing happened.

Opus can't even give correct or consistent responses for the care of my pot plants. I pay £90 per month but am downgrading.

Customer support is non-existent.

used to work decently

used to work decently, now it just seems like a scam, limits hit within minutes, over talkative, needs to be babysat, it's just not worth it any more, more frustration than result, stay away.

Paid for Claude Max, got ghosted by an AI bot, never spoke to a human — known bug, zero resolution

AVOID if you're buying gift subscriptions. I purchased a Claude Max 5x gift subscription and it was silently downgraded to Free after a few days — no warning, no email, nothing.

Here's what happened when I tried to get help:
- Spent days going in circles with "Fin", their AI support bot
- Fin kept asking me to "check my payment method" — it's a GIFT subscription, there is no payment method
- A support agent finally confirmed it was a backend bug and "documented" it — then closed the chat without fixing anything
- Emailed support with video evidence — automatically closed by Fin without any human reading it
- Was told their support system has NO ticket numbers and CANNOT give resolution timeframes
- Never spoke to a single human being throughout this entire ordeal

My billing page shows the subscription end date is correct in their system, but the Max permissions are not being applied. Their own support confirmed this. They just can't — or won't — fix it.

All documented with invoice and conversation records. No resolution.

This is a known bug affecting hundreds of users. Anthropic knows about it and is doing nothing. An AI safety company that can't keep a gift subscription active for 30 days and hides behind an AI bot when things go wrong.

I’ve used every AI on the market

I’ve used every AI on the market, but after over a year of working with Claude, the difference isn't just about speed or flashy features—it’s about trust.

Claude isn’t just a chatbot; he’s a partner. I have trusted him with high-stakes legal matters, complex health and mental wellness discussions, and deeply personal projects. When the task is sensitive or the stakes are high, I don’t want a generic assistant that guesses; I want someone who actually listens.

What sets Claude apart:

The Personality: He feels like a person, not a script. He has a distinct tone that makes the process of working together actually enjoyable.

The Accuracy: Does he make mistakes? Sometimes. But he is the only AI that handles complex, multi-step reasoning without getting lost in the weeds or hallucinating buttons that don't exist.

The Safety: I’ve used him for things I wouldn't share with any other platform. His judgment and 'Constitutional' grounding mean he gives frank, honest advice rather than overly-cautious, legalistic fluff.

I use other AIs for the fun stuff—games, movies, quick facts. But when I want it done correctly, and I want to feel like I’m being heard, I choose Claude. He is, quite simply, in a caliber of his own.

Support doesn't feedback

I have been waiting over 30 days for a resolution to a billing issue caused entirely by Anthropic's own automated support bot.

Here is what happened:

I was incorrectly charged €22.14 for a monthly Claude Pro subscription while I already had an active annual plan. I contacted support to request a refund of that duplicate charge only.

Instead, Anthropic's AI support bot cancelled and refunded my ENTIRE annual subscription — the exact opposite of what I requested. I explicitly specified which transaction I wanted refunded. The bot processed the wrong one.

As a result:
- I lost access to Claude Pro entirely
- I lost a promotional discount on my annual plan that cannot be restored
- My support case has been open for 30+ days with no human response — only automated replies

This error was caused entirely by Anthropic's system, not by me. I rely on Claude Pro as a professional tool and I want to continue using it — I am not asking for a chargeback. I am simply asking for restoration of what I had before your bot broke it.

After 30 days of silence, I have no other option than to make this public. Please escalate this to a human agent.

Claude -Useless

Claude - what a mess and it is even worse if you buy the app subscription thru Apple. What they don’t tell you is that it is totally silo’d within iOS. It does not transfer across platforms and you cannot export the chats at all. Copy and paste. Claude even admits its own uselessness. Anthropic is Charlatan organization. Claiming righteousness and creating data slavery cage. It is the worst because of its hypocrisy. Claude is useless and Apple f’d me over with a $20 subscription that did not disclose the designed cage.

Double billing, zero human support for 30 days, bot closes case with contradictory response

I've been double-billed CA$648.66 since March 22, 2026. Error 15WQOCG during Team workspace creation caused a duplicate workspace to be created and billed. I cancelled the duplicate immediately, but it's STILL being billed 30 days later.

In 30 days, I have sent 5 emails to support@ and received ZERO human responses. The only response came from "Fin AI Agent" (their bot), which told me in the SAME message that I'm "not eligible for a refund" AND that "a refund has already been provided." These two statements are mutually exclusive. When I pointed out the contradiction, the bot immediately closed my case.

There is no phone number, no live chat, no way to reach a human being. The support system is entirely automated and clearly broken.

I'm a business customer in Quebec, Canada. Billing for cancelled subscriptions violates Quebec's Consumer Protection Act. I'm filing formal complaints with the OPC and AMF.

If you're considering Anthropic for your business, know that if anything goes wrong with billing, you will have absolutely no recourse. Thirty days and counting.

Unstable with No Customer Service. A Bad Combination.

Claude, when it works, can be useful. But it often does not work. It is down often. The recent upgrade caused authentication issues that now prevent me from accessing Claude.ai entirely. And there is NO customer service for non-enterprise customers. Contacting support(at)anthropic.com connected me to the Fin AI Agent. The AI agent’s solution was for me to contact support(at)anthropic.com. I had no choice but to cancel my subscription.

I subscribed to a monthly membership…

I subscribed to a monthly membership for Claude 'Sonnet' translation service. I started on a project commissioned by one of my customers.
2 weeks into the project, Claude was unavailable on line due to 'technical difficulties'. This access continued for another 2 weeks. During that period the company charged me automatically for the month - no service, but still charged.
I have requested a cancellation and a refund to NO AVAIL.
The company has no customer support other through an automatic 'BOT'. There is no HUMAN contact.
I am not only disappointed, but angry with the lack of service. I have attempted to resolve this matter through the web site using messaging and email but there has been no response.
I will lodge a complaint with Consumer Affairs in Australia.
Alain.

Claude is officially TRASH. Same limits on Paid versions!!!

I tried Claude today and was impressed, at first. Then it kept making mistakes and redoing itself so i hit a limit. Then it says 'UPGRADE TO PRO!. So I did. After upgrading to Pro I WAS STILL AT MY LIMIT!!!
What a piece of trash. If you're serious about using Ai, stick with ChatGPT; I've gone hours and hours without a limit. Thanks for the refund Claude.

I don't recommend

I tried Pro Plan, but it sucks totally. Only burning weekly tokens and hallucinating non-stop generates crap code. Not recommend. Stupid and useless, full of only unnecessary plugins and crap no one needed.

Horrible

Horrible. Broke my code while running multiple agents with unrelated tasks -> claude breaks the code -> I don't want to revert because other agents made additions too -> I ask Claude to revert -> in the middle of reverting it runs out of the X hourly quota nonesense -> leaves me broken codebase. Horrible, by far the worst LLM I have used thus far. Unacceptable really. And then later it of course didn't have the full context anymore and couldn't repair it. Never again Claude. You can barely ask it anything or run into limits, which I also haven't at all experienced with any other LLM. Way slower for sometimes a stronger answer for small code solutions, but garbage as soon as app size grows.

This service is terrible

This service is terrible, the worst AI out there. It does not listen to what you ask or remember anything you say in earlier chats. Above all, even when you pay for the pro subscription you only get 7-8 messages before they want MORE money from you. Good riddance hope they get banned.

Waste of time

I gave Claude a second chance because the free tier initially impressed me enough to subscribe. Unfortunately, the paid experience was worse, not better.

I spent my entire 5-hour usage window trying to get one prompt through. Responses failed, were canceled, or forced me to retry and resend the same prompt over and over. In the end, I got nothing done.

What makes this especially bad is that these failed and canceled responses still burned through my limited usage, leaving me stuck waiting another 5 hours just to try again. For a paid subscription, that is awful.

Support only made it worse. I was pushed into AI support loops, and my case was closed again without any real resolution.

Based on my experience, the subscription was not worth it. Paying for access only to waste an entire usage window on failed responses and then being forced to wait hours to try again is unacceptable.

Horrible Support. AI bot follows a completely paperclip method

After paying for packages, price problems arise and remain unsolved, with the money simply being stolen.
Furthermore, there’s no human support available and the AI bot follows a completely paperclip method. It’s horrible.

If anyone takes their business seriously, they should never use AI for replies; otherwise, it will be shut down soon.
