Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 41 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Patients frequently struggled with poor communication, unreturned phone calls, and disorganized administrative processes that left them waiting endlessly for appointments, medical answers, or proper referrals. Billing practices and unexpected charges were another major source of deep frustration, with consumers feeling overwhelmed by confusing invoices and rigid prepayment demands. Some reviewers were happy with dedicated medical staff who provided exceptional care and performed successful, complex procedures. Reviewers also appreciated compassionate individual nurses and doctors who made them feel welcome, offering comforting, professional treatment during critical moments.

Cleveland Clinic Weston

Cleveland Clinic Weston, Florida charges a $293.00 facility fee just to see a Doctor in the Facility. This isn't for an emergency visit. It's just a regular scheduled Doctor's appointment. The Doctor is considered in Network with the Health Insurance Company. A co- pay should only apply. Cleveland Clinic nor your insurance company advise you of any fees. I was not told when I made the appointment. They only advised me of my co-pay amount of $50.00 when I went to my appointment, They collected the $50.00 co-pay and said nothing about an additional fee. Then you get hit with the bill of $293.00 in the mail.
This should be against the law.

Hospital Review for Cleveland Clinic

I scheduled a colonoscopy appointment at Cleveland Clinic after relocating from Columbus, Ohio to attend SkyPoint Recovery. The staff at Cleveland Clinic provided exceptional care and treated me with great respect. What stood out the most was their willingness to listen to my concerns and address them with utmost sincerity. I felt assured that they would do everything possible to assist me.

Furthermore, I was impressed by their professionalism; everyone seemed dedicated to their roles, leaving personal issues aside. This experience has been enlightening for me, sparking a deeper interest in maintaining my health and sobriety. I am now more proactive in understanding the factors that contribute to my well-being and remaining drug-free.

I am pleased to report that my test results were excellent!

Warm regards
Ishmael Holman

No use with their second opionion

Their second opinion program is really bad - they just collect money, nothing else. The nurse attitude is very bad, and the doctor report is just like an AI report. I have heart surgery question, even I don't have any symptom, they said I am qualified for surgery and should do within a few weeks without say any other things. No any valuable point in report. Receipt doesn't say anything, even in the program they say the cost can be covered by FSA/HSA. But once you paid, they will say their receipt is very simple and most likely HSA/FSA won't cover the cost. Definitely won't worth going even you are not their regular patients.

Corrupt billing system...

Corrupt billing system at this hospital. Had my annual exam with my doctor where there should be no copay. Months later I received a bill in the mail that had a copay that needed to be paid. When I called to question it I was told that According to their new policy if you ask your doctor any questions at your annual exam they can then put a different billing code and charge it differently so that you have to pay more. This is a new loophole the doctors found to screw the insurance company and the patient. No procedures or tests were done at this exam. All I did was ask the doctor a question address a concern and apparently that is not allowed anymore during annual exams.

Cleveland Clinic TA Team is SINKING!

Over the past year, there has been a noticeable shift away from fostering open communication and vulnerability within our teams. Instead, there is a growing sense of fear and apprehension among employees.

One alarming development is the demand from new TA leadership to use specific words and language when communicating. This imposition not only stifles genuine expression but also undermines the collaborative and inclusive atmosphere that previously defined our team.

Additionally, Rebecca Ammon's passive-aggressive behavior has further exacerbated the negative environment. Her actions often leave employees feeling undermined and disrespected, contributing to a culture of fear and mistrust.

Furthermore, there is a troubling trend where individuals are often corrected or reprimanded for speaking their minds. Even worse, information shared in good faith is sometimes twisted by leadership and used as a tool to attack individuals rather than foster constructive dialogue.

It's disheartening to witness this transformation as it goes against the values and principles that once guided our employees. HR Senior Leadership must address these issues promptly to ensure that our workplace remains a space where everyone feels empowered to share their thoughts and ideas without fear of reprisal or censorship.

Grandfather sat in the waiting room all night before he finally just left. Then they are trying to send my grandmother bills for seeing the doctor even though he never even saw the Dr or anyone. Sorriest bunch of crooks on the planet and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Absolutely the worst experience EVER…

Absolutely the worst experience EVER with the Cleveland Clinic. I took my wife there (Cleveland Clinic/Marymount ) on5/23..she was weak, not feeling well.....took her to the ER..they ran , let's see EKG,Chest X ray, CT scan, cardio ultra sound, blood tests, urinalysis,..decided they'd keep her while the test results were reviewed ( just to be on the safe side ) released her on the 24th (friday right before the long holiday weekend ) Cardiologist said he couldn't find anything...SERVICE was close to non existant...she did not improve over the weekend, AND by Monday the 27th I had to call the paramedics as she could not stand and fell down......they took her to Southwest General...where they imediately determined she had a serious case of COVID......how the Cleveland Clinic totally missed that is frankly incompetent. She remains hospitalized at Southwest General 5/31 where the patient care is far far superior, as is the communication. Cleveland Clinic is all reputation, which they do not deserve they are BAD!

I am regular patient with Cleveland…

I am regular patient with Cleveland London ever since it’s opened. Always admire its services, care and standards. Felt very disappointed during my recent visit this Tuesday on 28th for an outpatient appointment, no one even bothered to check basic things such as BP, however had a thorough discussion about my health with my cardiologist he was very good that’s the only good thing about my visit. I been asked to get my ECG done after my appointment never understand why ? No one even bothered to discuss it with me how was it. Worst thing was noticed been invoiced for 2 ECGs , overcharged for outpatient consultation over quoted fee, which I have queried now. To me this time it seems like a ripoff experience instead of care and looking after

Cleveland Clinic LONDON - MRI / SCANS & REPORT AWFUL - go elsewhere

Cleveland Clinic LONDON. In my opinion -AVOID- they provide low quality healthcare. They trade on their name. There are plenty of other places in London to get private healthcare. I went for an MRI at my own request and they provided a 'very basic' report of a couple of lines which told me nothing that I did not already know. I had an MRI and report done by the NHS previously and in comparison the NHS report provided much more helpful detail on my condition. I had thought a 'private report' would be better or at least as good as the NHS one. I complained to Mr Greggio who is the Lead Radiographer and still they will not provide a better report. Their MRIs are £1000 plus, so please spend your money somewhere else and get an informative report that tells you relevant things. I have never been so disgusted with any healthcare which I have paid for before so I am writing this to warn you. I will not be getting any operation at this clinic ever, so at least I learnt something for myself before I got to that point. Do not waste your money! They take your money and give you rubbish.

The patient does not come first at Cleveland Clinic. I’m getting the feeling that DEI Is more important to them than having a good doctor.
So very Disappointed in Cleveland Clinic.
When I go to a cancer doctor, I want him to be the best in his field. They can no longer offer that to me And many other very disappointed patients.

Diagnosed with prostate cancer with a…

Diagnosed with prostate cancer with a Gleason score of 10 met with Dr Eltemamy on March 20th 2024 and was told that by removing the prostate the cancer would be 100% curable. The next day scheduled an appointment to have it removed on May 10th. Arrived on May 7 to have several tests including an MRI to be informed on May 8 at 4:50Pm sitting in an office for over an hour that he would not do the procedure and to go back to Knoxville and find someone to do it no other assistance but to leave. We are leaving May 9 to hopefully get help asap as was instructed on the MRI. Never going back this place only wants easy cases to keep the record clean.

physician review of heart program

As a physician who has undergone heart surgery at various renowned medical institutions including Johns Hopkins Health System and Cedar Sinai in California, I approached my experience at the Cleveland Clinic with high expectations. Unfortunately, my encounter with their services left much to be desired.
While I appreciate the competence of my doctor, the overall customer service at the Cleveland Clinic fell short of expectations. The phone system is frustratingly inefficient, often leaving patients on terminal hold and making it nearly impossible to speak with a representative promptly. This lack of accessibility is disappointing and reflects poorly on the clinic's commitment to patient care.
One of the most concerning aspects was the surgical scheduling process, which I found to be disorganized and insensitive to the needs of patients. Despite boasting an impressive record of operations, the clinic's approach to scheduling felt indifferent, lacking the personalized attention that patients undergoing such critical procedures deserve. Best described as “they don’t care approach”.
In times of heart emergencies, the response time from the Cleveland Clinic was less than satisfactory. There were huge delays in getting back to patients, which are particularly distressing in urgent medical situations. If you are counting on them being there for you, then go someplace else.
Comparing my experience at the Cleveland Clinic to Cedar Sinai, which is often considered the second-best heart hospital, I found Cedar Sinai to excel in patient-centric care. The staff at Cedar Sinai demonstrated a higher level of professionalism and compassion, making me feel valued and supported throughout my medical journey.
While the Cleveland Clinic may boast the title of the number one heart hospital from a marketing perspective, my personal rating based on patient experience would be the worst heart hospital I have ever experienced. The beautiful infrastructure and reputation do not compensate for the lack of attention to patient needs, inefficient communication channels, and overall subpar customer service.
In conclusion, if you prioritize being treated with respect, efficiency, and compassion, I would recommend exploring other options beyond the Cleveland Clinic for your medical needs.

Cleveland Clinic Virtual Second Opinion…

Recently paid for Virtual Second Opinion at Cleveland Clinic as I am out of state.Let me just say they take your money and don’t do what they say they’ll do, from getting your records with out bothering you to help, to having a doctor talk to you personally about your diagnosis. They basically take your money and tell you what your neighbor could’ve done for free! Yep looked at your records and looks like the right diagnosis! This is all done by email, and you never talk to anyone. Don’t waste your money, this VSO is nothing more than a scam!!

There should be a law!

Made an appointment two months ago as a new patient due to a change in our insurance. I am now required to go to CC. I got a call today that my appointment has been canceled. The next available appointment is over 3 months away! I will be out of prescription medication way before that time. Customer service rep told the office this and they said they would put me on a waiting list for cancelations. I’m so sure that will happen (sarcasm). Can my husband sue if I die? (Sarcasm.) can’t go back to my previous doctor because my insurance does not cover them.

These jokers don’t deserve one star

These jokers don’t deserve one star

I was booked in for a treatment at the Cleveland with Dr Nunoo Mensah that included
1. General anesthetic.
2. Colonoscopy
3. Corrective surgery

On the day of the operation I was asked by a relative how the bowel prep was going. I told them the nursing team had told me this wasn’t needed and neither had the medical secretary. I called up to check and guess what they missed it. In fact I did need bowel prep. What is the consequence- missed time off work - seriously traumatized after getting myself ready for this and lost complete confidence in the surgeon and the Cleveland clinic. They can’t explain why or how such a school boy error can take place but they did say sorry which sadly doesn’t help me and the considerable pain I am in. I will be reviewing my options Against the Cleveland Clinic and note they already have a pathetically Low score on trustpilot

Greetings

Greetings,
Attempted to get very simple questions answered via the portal with Zarmeneh Aly, MD. These were basic yes or no questions and her admin staff noted we must see her for an appointment. This is a huge waste of time and shows a non patient Centric attitude. The questions are either ignored or not addressed. We call it obfuscation! Are they blocking provider access to respond to these questions?
My neurologist believes they are playing politics which is less than professional. Would "you" travel a thousand miles plus and hotel for four simple questions?

Respectfully

Cleveland clinic billing

Cleveland clinic Deceptive billing practices. I'm being billed a year after, I had an office visit. After paying my account total off. And having a zero balance. 4 months later they say I owe them from a year ago. You can't never get a hold of them by phone. This was payed by my insurance company in August of 2023. And there just billing me in 3/16/2024 ??

Deceptive billing practices

I have moved all my care to MetroHealth because I feel treated more like a person and less like a number to them. I haven't seen a Cleveland Clinic doctor for over a year. But all of the sudden I started getting statements from Cleveland Clinic demanding $35. It turns out they have started reprocessing claims from 2021 that I've already paid copays on and were long closed and settled. The Clinic claims there were "errors" that caused the need to reprocessed, but can not explain how my previously paid co-pays do not apply to the reprocessed claims. They are essentially double dipping on co-pays and insurance claims. This hospital system is amongst the least ethical in the world when it comes to billing. You would think being sued would have cleaned this up, but they have returned to their nearly criminal behavior and shady billing practices.
