Absolutely fantastic
Fraser Forbes (Account Number 98814) built our understairs closet August 2025, and I can honestly say everything is still as impeccable as the day it was installed.
Fraser’s service was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. He was incredibly courteous, extremely efficient, and clearly very skilled at what he does. I was particularly impressed by how cleverly he had prepared so many elements in advance before arriving, which maximised time on site and made the whole process far less disruptive than I could ever have imagined.
He also took the time to explain everything I needed to know about the utilities access points, meters, and stop valves hidden within the space, including how to access them properly. Before this, I honestly didn’t even know where some of these were located — the one time we previously needed to shut off the water, it had to be done from the street!
Fraser also explained how best to clean and maintain the installation, and even gave excellent advice on the best approach if we later decided to paint it.
The workmanship and materials are outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows over time. Apologies Fraser for losing your card and taking so long to leave this review, but your work absolutely deserves recognition.
I would recommend him without hesitation.
I chose Clever Closet based on reviews and I called to confirm the depth of the cabinets as I wanted to maximize storage space. The booking, assessment and installation was super fast.

A fantastic experience from start to finish! I got the 6 drawers/ 1 door set up and it looks amazing!
Really easy to order on the website, very quick follow up to finalise details and book in the surveyor and the installation date. Steven Sampson did the installation (job number 105663). Steve is a fantastic craftsman and did an amazing job! He kept me updated throughout, explained all the possible options in detail whenever I needed to decide something and also answered all my questions about painting and caring for the surfaces. Highly recommended!!

Excellent service and fantastic experience
Excellent service and lovely workmanship throughout. We received regular updates from the moment we placed the order until the job was completed on 13 May, and the whole process from ordering to installation took just three weeks.
Jonny answered lots of my queries prior to booking. Mike, our surveyor, was very accommodating with my working hours and met my last minute appointment change request. The delivery driver from Clever Closet was incredibly helpful (sorry I didnt catch his name), and Charlie Evans, the carpenter, installed our understairs cupboard in a single day with impressive craftsmanship. Everyone has been very professional and friendly.
Overall, it was a smooth and genuinely fantastic experience.
The only minor point (which I didnt deduct in the rating) is that the sale price is now 5% cheaper than when I paid 6 days ago 😅

We have just had under our stairs fitted with five draws and a cupboard by Jason S from Clever Closet and we could not be happier with the work. The customer service was great throughout from taking the order, measuring up, settling payments and arranging fitting. Richard from Clever Closet did an ace job
Richard Murray installed our under stair storage so efficiently and expertly. He made minimal mess as all parts were cut outside. And any mess indoors, he cleaned up at the end of the install.
Richard was polite, friendly and most importantly, did a really great job. Everything works perfectly with the doors and drawers.
We’d definitely recommend Clever Closet to anyone who’s looking for more storage at home.
