Unreliable Service and Serious Security Concerns

We recently signed up for Cleverly’s Platinum package, expecting a comprehensive LinkedIn outreach solution with features like multiple campaigns, training, and email follow-ups. Unfortunately, the experience has been far from what was promised.

First, their security practices are alarming. They ask for credentials to be shared via email in open text, and those are then stored in an open document accessible to their entire team. Even worse, these credentials are saved with a visible password option in their platform, although they do offer MFA.

Once we kicked off, we quickly realized many of the advanced features that sold us on the package aren’t available upfront. For example, training isn’t offered for another month, and additional campaigns or advanced options only unlock after 3-4 months, which means you’re paying for features you can’t even use at the start.

To make matters worse, the platform altered our lists, leading to outreach targeting people well outside our ideal customer profiles (ICPs), and they used the wrong messaging. This not only hurt our brand but also put my personal LinkedIn account at risk—an account I’ve built for over a decade with more than 8,000 connections.

When I raised these issues with our account manager, Samantha, we were met with deflection. We were told credentials were protected when they weren’t, and that the system was working when it clearly wasn’t. Despite evident platform issues, the team refuses to acknowledge the problem.

In short, Cleverly’s service has been a nightmare. I cannot recommend this service to anyone looking for a professional, secure, or reliable LinkedIn outreach solution.

Update to My Review:

After raising concerns, I spoke to Cleverly’s CEO, Nick, who offered a 30-day extension to fix the issues, promising a full refund if they didn’t deliver. Despite reactivating my account, the onboarding meeting they promised was never booked, and the same issues persisted: wrong messaging, typos, and poorly researched outreach. No appointments were booked, and no leads were generated.

None of the other services I paid for—including LinkedIn optimization, email campaigns, masterclass training, personalized copy, prospect lists, or campaign optimization—were delivered. When I requested a refund, Nick unexpectedly called and gave me an ultimatum: take down my reviews or only receive a partial refund. I chose to keep my reviews up and ended up receiving just 50% back, despite only getting through 25% of my agreement.

This experience has been deeply frustrating and unprofessional. My initial concerns were not resolved, and the promised outcomes were never achieved.

Waste of time and money

Waste of time and money. Not only did I have to pay for the Cleverly account, I had to pay for the most expensive LinkedIn account. I got zero leads in 3 months and had my LinkedIn account suspended. I don't understand how they have so many positive reviews on this site, that is another red flag.

Note: Cleverly responded to this review saying that they operate within LinkedIn guidelines and do not cause account suspensions. This is not true. My account was suspended and we had to stop my cleverly campaign for one month. Cleverly informed me this happened because LinkedIn made a change in their policy. It is not uncommon for LinkedIn to do this. I have an email correspondence with Cleverly regarding this matter. It's disappointing they would quickly respond to this review and claim that they do not cause suspensions.
