A very useful tool for PLAB2

I had been using CSP for PLAB2 exam. It has more than 100 different case videos about all domains of the exam (including simman, mannequin examinations, and lots of cases in counselling and ethics) and small quizes with explanations in the end.

A very useful tool indeed. As an IMG the thing that I found most struggling was ‘the way’ we share the information with the patient rather than ‘the content’, which is more straight-forward to manage. And the case videos are very helpful in learning the structure, medical and non-medical advises and most importantly how to say things in a good manner. Highly recommended👍🏼

Perfect for PACES

Great resource for PACES.
It has a wealth of videos on how to examine patients, and great explanation of the underlying diagnosis and clinical findings that is simple and easy to absorb no matter what level you are at. The course is also tailored to the new PACES format which is great!!

Poor quality videos

Poor quality videos. The examination procedure are not methodical. Used only one patient for various cases of cardiology cases. Sound quality is poor. No elaborate explanation.

Sorry you didn't find the videos good. The examination procedures are standard methods as per exam gold-standard. The heart sounds are meant to require you to think about what you are listening to to ensure you're learning as well as some patients not wanting to be on camera. If you click through to the end of the vidoes, there are extensive explanations.

Really poor quality videos with…

Really poor quality videos with inaccurate methods of examination as well factual inaccuracies in the info given. Poor sound quality. I have used Pastest before this and there is a clear difference in the quality of video and audio recordings and quality of clinical examinations and explanations/presentation.
