Many people were dissatisfied with the website, finding it user-unfriendly and prone to blocking legitimate users, including those with VPNs. Customers frequently encountered issues with the service, reporting slow loading times, persistent verification loops, and unexpected downtimes that affected their access to various sites. The customer service was also a major point of frustration, with many reviewers describing it as unresponsive and unhelpful, particularly when trying to resolve account issues or technical problems. Some people also felt that the user experience was poor, citing difficulties with account initialization, domain registration, and the inability to access support without being a paying customer. How to get mugged by CloudFlare - Simply Use their service!

# Cloudflare's "Cancellation" System is a Joke - 35+ Days, Multiple Charges, Still Can't Cancel

**TL;DR:** Cancelled all Cloudflare subscriptions on December 25th, 2025. Got charged anyway on December 27th AND January 27th. Their support says "engineers cancelled all subscriptions" but the billing page STILL shows an active $240/year subscription that I literally CANNOT edit or remove (the Edit button does nothing). Over a month later, still fighting this.

---

## The Timeline of Absurdity

**December 25, 2025:** I cancel ALL my subscriptions through the Cloudflare dashboard. Everything. Done. Or so I thought.

**December 27, 2025:** I get charged $10 for "Advanced Certificate Manager" - a service I JUST cancelled 2 days ago. I open a support ticket demanding:
- Full refund
- Explanation of why a cancelled service was charged
- All payment methods permanently deleted

**December 31, 2025:** Support responds saying it's a "system-side issue" and they've "escalated to engineering." They also mention response times might be slow due to holidays. Fair enough, I guess.

**January 27, 2026:** I GET CHARGED AGAIN. Same subscription. At this point I've been waiting a MONTH.

**January 29, 2026:** Support claims "Our engineers have cancelled all active subscriptions on the account."

**January 31, 2026 (Today):** I check my billing page. THERE'S STILL AN ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTION showing $240.00/yr with a renewal date of June 8, 2026. The "Edit" button? **Doesn't work. Nothing happens when you click it.**

---

## What I've Learned

1. **Cloudflare's cancellation system doesn't actually cancel billing** - They might stop your services, but the billing keeps rolling.

2. **The UI is deliberately broken** - You literally CANNOT click "Edit" on subscriptions to remove them. It's not a bug, it's a feature (for them).

3. **Support plays the "escalated to engineering" card** - Classic stalling tactic while they keep charging your card.

4. **They ignore requests for legal contact information** - I've asked multiple times for their legal representative's contact details. Radio silence.

---

## My Response to Their Latest "We cancelled everything" Email

> "No, you did not cancel all active subscriptions in my account! Can you see how that subscription is still active? I want that permanently removed."
>
> "You will have to remove my payment method, and permanently delete my account and make sure all subscriptions are canceled!"

---

## What's Next

- Filing complaint with ANPC (Romania's consumer protection agency)
- Filing EU consumer protection complaint
- Contacting legal representation
- Documenting EVERYTHING for potential legal action

---

## The Real Question

How is a company this big allowed to have billing systems this broken? Or is it "broken" by design? 🤔

When you can't cancel a subscription because the Edit button literally doesn't respond to clicks, that's not a bug - that's a dark pattern.

---

**Has anyone else experienced this with Cloudflare?** I'd love to hear your stories. Maybe we can compile enough cases for a class action.

**EDIT:** I have the full 5-page support ticket transcript as evidence. Names/emails redacted for privacy but happy to share with anyone who needs it for similar cases.

Horrible experience!

Horrible, horrible site to get your domain. They send me emails saying my domain is about to expire and then make it IMPOSSIBLE to renew it. Its frustrating and infuriating even. I have opened ticket to ask for help NOBODY EVER ANSWERS. trying to open a new ticket they say I have already a ticket open. No kidding, eh!
Do not get your domain on this horrible place. Now mine is scheduled for deletion and there is nothing I can do about it. Just watch it disappear. What a nightmare. Stay away from this place!

They Have Zero Support

They have zero support from their staff. I mean nada!

That alone tells me all I need to know about them.

Later I found out that some of their staff puts in positive reviews in websites and boards.

Cloudfare blocks access.

Cloudfare blocks access to websites that allegedly violate their terms of service. As an end user, i suddenly cannot even use a website because of their contracts (which i have nothing to do with).

Absolutely RUINS the customer experience

No words for how much I hate this. Blocks us from certain websites for no reason at all, causing such websites to lose customers. And wastes our time with dumb bot verification on others. The marginal hacker protection is NOT worth the significant loss of customers websites will experience when they use cloudflare. Stay AWAY.

Trash

Use a VPN, Tor browser, or weaker internet connection, and stumble upon a site that happens to be covered by these clowns? They take you on a never-ending loop that never verifies your connection.

I had issues with CF github links

I had issues with CF in that it disconnected a git repo for no reason and i couldnt find a way to reconnect it, then with another repo it started to ignore changes sent to it, customer support directs you to a forum which you then cant find if you leave a question and then leave the page, on the whole a bad experience, i moved away from git and just upload files to a worker page now as that seems to work better

One star, blocked from buying anything

Cloudflare has built a system where it is literally impossible to buy a domain if their email verification does not work.

To purchase a domain or use paid services you must verify your email address. The problem is their verification emails do not arrive. You can resend, you can check spam, you can wait, nothing. No email means no purchase.

And then comes the best part, there is no real customer support. No ticket support, no chat, no email support. Just a community forum where users are expected to do Cloudflare’s support work for free.

So you are stuck in a Catch 22 situation,

You cannot buy the service without verification,

You cannot verify because their system does not send the email,

You cannot get support unless you are a paying customer,

You cannot become a paying customer because you cannot verify.

This is not a premium platform experience, it is basic functionality failing with no support behind it.

One star, because zero stars is not an option.
