Absolutly dreadful made a complaint out

Absolutly dreadful made a complaint about our holiday as wasn’t told we had to walk a long way to the hotel from the top road , I am not able to carry my cases, my elderly gentleman friend had to carry cases , very bad customer service wont be using coop travel ever again, wasn’t informed of this problem when we booked the holiday, took ages for a reply

Co op travel Sutton Coldfield

Brought a holiday. Then the following day needed an alteration. Checked online and it was only £24 extra to upgrade the room...tried amending ticket myself online but you can only do changes through agent...went to agent who said prices are different online and then quoted the alteration as £175 through co op...asked if I can get a refund, they said if I do I'll loose the deposit which was the full price of the ticket! So in hine sight best to miss out the middle man and buy direct through Jet2 or whoever your flight is with online

Wouldn’t Use Again

I booked a holiday in March 2019 through Co-Op travel. Usually I use Travel Counsellors who are excellent to deal with. Based on a friend telling me they always book through the co-op because they receive membership points, I thought I may as well also. The holiday was the same price with both companies but because the Co-Op advisor assured me I would get the membership points I booked through the Co-Op. On returning from our holiday last year I found the points had not been added to my card so duly contacted the agent I had booked with who confirmed she had definitely added the holiday cost to my membership card. My friend thought it was the end of the year when the points got credited to membership cards. I contacted Co-Op customer services who informed me the points got added at the end of January. As it is now February I expected the relevant points to have been added to my card but guess what NO. Customer services have now informed me that as my card is with Mid Counties Co-Op I may not get my points until May and only if Co Op Mid Counties have made a profit. Based on this I will not bother booking through the Co-Op again. So if use Co-op Travel and your agent tells you that you will receive membership points don’t take it for granted you are getting the correct information.

Co--op Travel,Carlton Centre, Lincoln

How refreshing to deal with a company that actually cares. Received a reminder phone call today, checking that we had everything we needed for forthcoming cruise. We had printed everything off, but they rang offering a service. If you visit the travel agent, courteous, polite and customer service excellent.

Check the current exchange rates before you buy

I have been booking holidays and changing currency for almost 20 years at the Co-op but not any more. I called in to get 50 euros but when I got home I was only given 1.0865 to the pound. Other places in Ashton were 1.18. I went back in and was told that this was the rate for changing a low amount. I was not told and realised that all Co-ops and Thomas Cook have removed their rate boards from the window and inside. To say I feel ripped off, but more so mugged is an understatement.

best service

I have booked all my holidays through Co-op travel in hillsborough, Morrisons. I only see two sales people there Debra and Wendy, they are the most helpful staff memebers. They always go the extra mile in making sure you have the best deals and they holiday you are looking for.

If you have any problems call them they will help you find one.

Keep it up!!!!!
