My teenager is extremely introverted, but looks forward to coaching!

My teenager is extremely introverted and has always struggled in connecting with health professionals, counselors, therapists, etc. I decided to give Coachbit a try since the sessions are held via text on a routine scheduled, and my kiddo lives on his phone--Coachbit goes to where the kid is and feels comfortable. We've been especially pleased with Coach Matthew C. and his ability to get my guy excited about setting goals and following through with incremental actions. Their sessions are set up for shortly after my kiddo gets home from school, and if I ask for something in that time, I am quickly reminded that "I have my coaching session, remember?!" That to me indicates that the sessions, which provide immediate feedback and positive encouragement, are something that my guy looks forward to everyday. Thanks Coachbit and Coach Matt for helping my child feel welcome and included as well as guiding him to make small positive changes and feel good about himself!

Our son is currently working with Coach Mathew

Our son is currently working with Coach Mathew and he likes him a lot.
We have seen such an improvement in our son and he has only been working with Mathew for a couple of months.
Our son now makes his bed every morning, started journaling and making study cards. He is currently working towards earning a reward.

It is early in the process but we are confident this will make life changes necessary for our son to be successful in school and life

Coachbit has been a fantastic resource…

Coachbit has been a fantastic resource for our teenage son - we are only stopping the subscription because his coach Matthew did such a wonderful job with him that we don't need the Coachbit...for now! Matthew was patient and kind with our son - helping him to learn how to stay organzied and create good habits along the way. The process of consistantly checking in each day was a game changer by itself but coupled with everything our son has learned - we are grateful!!

On a gradient

This program is so good because everything is in bite size pieces. Each day it’s a quick text chat that covers the habit your child and the coach are working on. I’ve seen my son take accountability for himself because of Coachbit!

An absolute waste of time & money

This was an absolute waste of time and money. It is not daily coaching, it is working through a sub par app via a slow messaging service. The 15 minute session were probably only 5 minutes if you added up the actual time and 30 minutes if you added up the delay in responses from start to finish. In 3 months my teenage son only was taught he should make his bed. The coaches use scripts that are dated and not beneficial for a teen with horrible analogies. In the end we wasted time and energy and could have used the money getting actual coaching. Please save yourself from this massive disappointment and work with coaches who actually interact with your student.

Coachbit is a great fit!

Elizabeth Cuevas is an excellent coach for my son's journey to developing great habits as a student-athlete. I can see the transformation in his daily routine. He is rising to the challenges of his high-demanding academic and athletic school environment with much more energy and enthusiasm. Thank you, Elizabeth, and thank you, Coachbit!

The coaches seem really invested and are super available for questions and concerns. They try to make an individualized program while also taking care to ensure your child learns the basics of habit forming.

Is chatting on a smartphone really going to help your child's executive functioning?

After 3 months of Coachbit, the only goals reached were 1) getting up on time (which was not really a problem before 2) making the bed (a good habit, but not strictly related to school work) 3) packing the bag before leaving. Those goals were usually achieved through being nagged by us, the parents. We also had to take an extra 15 minutes out of every morning for the coaching which was mostly small talk, along with sending some pre-recorded videos about why making your bed is important and other trivialities. Giving a teen more access to a smartphone only led to more time wasting - we would have been better off not having Coachbit and keeping the smartphone put away and simply using a whiteboard.

Hi Axel,

Thank you for sharing your experience with Coachbit. We truly appreciate your honest feedback as it helps us continually improve our services.

We are really sorry to hear that the service did not meet your expectations. We hear your concerns about the goals achieved during the three months and acknowledge that they may not directly correlate with academic performance. Our intention is always to support students in developing habits that contribute to their overall success in life.

As for the morning coaching sessions, we're sorry to hear that they felt like more small talk than productive time. Our coaches strive to make every interaction meaningful and valuable. We'll take your feedback into account and communicate this with our coaches to ensure our coaching sessions are focused and purposeful.

Regarding the use of smartphones, we understand the concerns about increased screen time. Our aim is to provide a platform that enhances productivity and learning rather than detracts from it.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We're committed to learning from your experience and making the necessary adjustments to provide an impactful and beneficial coaching experience.

Sincerely,
Matt Adamski

Constant growth

Coachbit has provided my child with a constant stimulation and motivation towards improvement of herself, her habits and motivation.
She is constantly learning new things and is challenged with accountability to keep improving and keep laziness at bay.
Its tough for her to maintain the commitment which is good in itself as it teaches her perseverance and the content certainly teaches her things that I struggle to find the time for.

Highly recommend

Coach bit has helped both of my daughters with ADHD find ways to be more organized and efficient with their time. In just a short amount of time, the improvements have been helpful enough to make our whole household feel more in control!

Have been seeing improvement in myself…

Have been seeing improvement in myself lately. I am much more focused and less distracted now than before and it has been helping me out quite a lot. I used to constantly check my phone whenever I get the chance too but now I’m able to have schoolwork and studying as my main priority
