Our products are printed using odourless latex inks onto laminated matt vinyl and mounted to durable 3mm rigid boards, giving a clean, professional finish that’s built to last. The coastal display bases of which I…

The coastal display bases of which I bought two, these are to display two models of the RN Type 42- Batch 2
Destroyers. When I placed the Models onto the bases that have the ships wake, I was really pleased with them.
It shows the models off beautifully. The models are 1/350 scale and the Trumpeter display cabinet is 501mm
x 146mm ,so Mark had to print extra long bases, they are perfect. Many thanks to the team at Coastal Displays.

The Type 42 destroyers sound like a fantastic project, and it’s great to hear the custom extended bases worked perfectly with the display cabinet dimensions. Those little details make all the difference when it comes to showing a model off properly.

Really glad the wake effect brought the builds to life as well. That’s exactly the result we aim for with the ship bases.

I love using coastal bases and do so for many of my builds displayed at Telford, Bolton, Littleport, Hinckley etc.

Keep up the good work especially with the 200mm and 300mm round and maritime bases.

Super model bases.

I recently purchased a number of bases and back scenes and am very happy with them all. Excellent quality photo prints and great service from the people at Coastal Bases, I will definitely use again and highly recommend them for enhancing any model settlings

Great model add on's.

I have had several products from this company, and all are well made and realistic. Whether it be a base, or a background, they add something to what would otherwise be another model on a shelf. Pricing is reasonable, and delivery is normally pretty quick once your choice has been made and printed.

A give a touch of realism to your project.

Hello everyone, more than 5 years ago I bought the first base to show off my model airplanes. What was an air base in the Middle East. I was impressed by the quality of the bases, and how well they complement your model. In Scalemate I have photographs of the models with their different bases, I have 6 so far, and you will notice that they really give a touch of realism to your project. 100% recommended.

We had ordered the 1/144 full carrier…

We had ordered the 1/144 full carrier deck & a couple of the smaller bases. The base with the blast ramp 3D printed was super well done.
High end printing, fast service and very well packed. Do not hesitate to purchase !

They work right out of the box...

I've experimented with other diorama bases before and been disappointed...I wanted something that can be used right from the box and definitely didn't want to start from scratch like a railway modeller (it's a different skill set). The great thing about the Coastal Display bases is that they look good and stay flat because they are on a polymer board so are light but rigid. They can be used exactly as they come or be used as a basis for more detail, adding grass, stones etc. They have a wide range of bases in all modelling scales...highly recommended!

That’s exactly what we’re aiming for, so it’s great to hear it’s landing the right way.

Not everyone wants to build a full diorama from scratch, and they shouldn’t have to. Being able to take something out of the box, place your model on it and have it look right straight away is the whole point.

Glad the rigidity and finish are coming through as well. We’ve worked hard to get that balance of lightweight but solid.

Thoroughly recommended!

Firstly, the bases are excellent. I have bought several including airfields, bomber dispersal points, sea plane/flying boat slipways and one of my favourites a sci-fi arctic scene which is perfect for displaying my Polar aviation collection.
Secondly, the prices are very fair given the quality of the bases.
Lastly, Coastal Display Bases customer service has always been faultless. Orders are well packaged and dispatched promptly.
