A non-contactable company hiding behind…

A non-contactable company hiding behind out of date applications and so called developers who are not interested in helping but scamming money out of genuine clients looking for worthwhile apps. After sales service is the most important attribute a developer can have - this lot are sadly lacking as there is NONE.
Too angry to continue - will never purchase from this company ever again.

I purchase Ultimate Video Player Plugin…

I purchase Ultimate Video Player Plugin and realized it was not wordpress compatible and that I could not use it. If I had known that I could not use it I would never have bought the thing but I only figured it out after I downloaded their product that it wouldn't work. So I've worked with other websites that see those mistakes and are easy to refund and I figured Code Canyon would do the same. And in good faith I found the proper Ultimate video player that worked with wordpress and purchased that one. After making a second purchase to show them I was really only interested in the one program I then asked for a refund of the other because I didn't realize it was not compatible with wordpress. I filed my refund request and have been waiting for 45 days and it still says it's in progress. I decided to dispute it through paypal because someone below said to do that and I'm trying to see if this works? Will update later...

Avoid!

Purchased WooCommerce Product Image Watermark Plugin from codecanyon. It did not work correctly. Support sucks. They initially basically said too bad, that it was not the fault of the plugin. When I threatened to contest the charges through PayPal and give them a bad review, they finally said the refund was approved and sent. But instead of a refund, they gave me store credit. It is now being contested through PayPal.

Update: I finally got a cash refund, but only after starting the dispute through PayPal. Canceling my account now. I will never do business with them again.

Item i brought did not work

Item i brought did not work. Sent error messages to Code Canyon for a refund and they told me that it was an error on my pc only and not with the plugin. I explained that i used it on 2 different pc's, with 2 versions of photoshop and 2 different operating systems but had the same feedback.

Luckily, it only cost me $4 but it could have been a much more expensive purchase. I cannot recommend for this reason CodeCanyon and i will not order again unless i really have too.

Buyer Beware!

As the old saying goes, you live and you learn and if you don’t it’s like banging your head against a wall. I should’ve known to check reviews before purchasing an item on getButterfly codecanyon and Envato Market, but I let my guard down, and bang. I never got the download I paid for, and worse, it sends me a link, which leads to an “can’t find server” page. I attempt to contact them, and there’s not a chat or phone customer service line, just a shallow reply that the matter is being looked into. Today I go back to site, and there’s not even a record that I’m a client or record of my purchase. Yes, it’s a small loss, but not worth losing valuable time. The money is chump change, however, the experience is invaluable, especially after reading the comments here. I am at the least thankful that I can put this ugly episode behind me and move on. People like this are petty and unethical. Anyone considering doing business with Envato Market, I simply say…BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Extremely poor customer service

I requested a refund for two products. The customer "support" says I have to contact the authors. However, they don't reply. Envato does nothing about it, always needs many days to reply and only answers with bullsh*t. Never gonna buy there anymore

SCAM SCAM SCAM

One of the worst company's I have dealt with for customer support. They have taken my money, and when I went to paypal to claim the money back they then started to answer my emails!! Then they proceed to tell me they would refund me but I had to STOP the paypal dispute so my account could be accessed. So I stopped it and they then said sorry but we are not going to refund you now ! but here have some store credit ! WHY WOULD I WANT CREDIT WITH YOU!!!!! I have now taken this up with my bank and I will look to tell every online portal and forum of there dishonest and sneaky practice !! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED PEPOLE

Scam site

Please do not purchase from Envato (Themeforest, Codecanyon, etc), there is better support with plugins where you buy directly from the (highly recommended) plugins website. Envato/Paypal creates a wall for sellers to hide behind. Do not use paypal to buy software, they do not cover it, you cannot make a claim on intangible items like you can with your bank, and your bank has more protection and is more on your side than paypal. Most banks insure you up to $100k so your money is safe.

About my experience, I recently purchased a plugin on envato, posted an issue on the plugins support forum, and received no response, no support at all. I even bumped my post in case the author did not see it and had the purchase code in my profile like the forum states. Then I left a comment to him on the plugins page on envato, yet no response to my support post.
After waiting 2 weeks, I asked envato for a refund. The plugin advertised support but I could not get in contact with the plugins support.

Mario, the support at envato responds,
"Remember: although we do encourage authors to provide free support (and most do to generate better sales for themselves and keep their customers happy), the reality is that authors are not required to provide support and it is their choice to do so. This is also true for item updates, as long as the item is working correctly."

Yet the plugin advertises the complete opposite and states nothing about not having support on the pluins page on envato where you purchase it. To me this is ilegal. I cannot get away with this with my business, why do they?

Then Mario asked me what the problem was with the plugin, even after I explained in detail that my issue was with no customer support and fraudulent advertising, 2 weeks later he tells me they couldnt duplicate the issue so they couldn't give a refund. Lol of course!

Also the comment I left on envato, about not receiving any support, was deleted by envato. That comment was 100% true, I never received any support, yet they delete it. They do not want negative comments because to hinders sales. Yet by deleting all the negative comments warning others, this falsely entices people to purchase crap, and you will get no refund for fraudulent advertisements.

DO NOT SUPPORT BAD BUSINESS!

DO NOT BUY FROM ENVATO!

DO NOT USE PAYPAL FOR INTANGIBLE PURCHASES!
