Codify Media - the truth is out there

What is Codify Media – the truth is out there?

The official website is 'codifymedia.com'
I was scammed by a company which, for all intents and purposes was Codify Media, same company logo, company name etc. I created a report on Trustpilot because I was robbed of $5471.69 USD.

After my last post about Codify Media, the company asked me to delete the post citing that they had been impersonated and that my report was false.

I have not yet deleted the post and I will not until I reach a resolution although I did update the post to reflect the wishes of Codify Media, which I regard as a good will gesture on my behalf.

My report is an accurate and truthful account of my experiences at the time working for a company called Codify Media, well that is what was displayed on the website that I was supplied.

In the meantime, Codify Media has suggested that I will face legal proceedings if I do not take down my report or I continue with my efforts to seek justice. Quite frankly this is ‘like a red rag to a bull’. The last time I checked, speaking the truth was not an offence, or has that also changed? I replied welcoming them to send as many lawyers as they want after me, they would be laughed out of court. Perhaps compensation paid would be a better way of getting my money back?

Codify Media suggested that I contact their ISP, Alibaba Cloud, to get to the bottom of the alleged scam initiated by the imposters. Why should I chase their ISP? Surely Codify Media has a moral and company obligation to get their own house in order? If Codify Media knows about the scammers, surely, they also have a public duty to protect innocent people from being scammed in their name?

Anyway, during a recent message with the alleged scammers, my obvious question was to ask them why they are using their website instead of the official website 'codifymedia.com'. Trustpilot will not allow me to show the website link here but I can share this via email.

This was their WhatsApp reply:
>>>>
I had asked this question before, and they told me that the Codify Media website is the official site. All users perform their work on the hub provided by Codify Media. The reason Codify Media has been mentioned in connection with scams is that recently, someone used the name Codify Media to scam people, which is not related to us. Our website has been operating for a long time
>>>>
The website we are currently using is the company's user working portal, while the official website provides official information, showcases the company image, and offers services to customers or users. Indeed, our job is considered confidential because we are helping these brands generate data. Of course the methods we use are legal, but as a brand owner, they likely wouldn't want consumers or competitors to know how their data is being produced in this way. I believe if you were a brand owner today, you wouldn't want others to know that your data is being generated through this method either
>>>>
Just to clarify, you are not an internal staff member of the company. Instead, you are a user of the company's working portal, focused on helping brands improve their data. In simple terms, we are utilizing their working portal to earn money by assisting with data generation for the brands
>>>>
This all looks rather suspect to me. The alleged scammer states ‘All users perform their work on the hub provided by Codify Media’ and ‘The website we are currently using is the company's user working portal’ which is rather worrying.

Someone is clearly not telling the truth.

I would really like to track down the alleged scammer who was my mentor when working for Codify Media or the Codify Media lookalike. He introduced himself as Charlie from Sydney, originally from Singapore. I doubt very much that he is in Sydney.

His WhatsApp number (Optus) is +61 401 927 936 and his compatriots in Customer Service is WhatsApp number (Vodaphone) +61 406 887 046.

Charlie sent me a photograph but Trustpilot will not allow me to add it here, happy to share this via email.

Optus were of no use to me when I asked them for Charlie’s details, but then I expected no less from Optus, a useless company.

PLEASE HELP ME TRACK DOWN THIS CLOWN AND GET MY MONEY BACK.

Kind regards, Derek
