Purchased some crypto through this…

Purchased some crypto through this exchange, had dealt with in past but they then treated me like a new customer and wouldn’t give access to my account for 48 hours. After 48 hours still couldn’t access the account and called them with great difficulty as they have a message service saying they would get back to me.
They then gave me the third degree and didn’t matter what I said I wanted it for. They sent me an email saying they were closing my account.
They then asked for bank details to refund but wanted 3 months of statements for that account which I later found was not required. They did everything to keep me from getting my refund straight away so they underpaid me what was in my account.

I have bought crypto currency through Coinspot, Exodus, Coinjar and other exchanges and can access and send crypto immediately after purchase. The only reason I bought through them was that I could buy through Blueshyft and pay cash.

I would advise people to never use Cointree if you want to be able to access your purchase.

Cointree is the worst exchange I've..

Cointree is the worst exchange I've used.
Cointree requested the details of where and who I was sending small amounts of btc, when I replied that I didn't see the relevance in their question, they closed my account and forced me to sell and withdraw my funds.
Absolutely disgusting and extremely unprofessional. 0/5

Unfortunetly Cointree Gets Worse

On and on this saga with Cointree goes, i spoke with the CEO Jess Renden in early Jan 2025 and she promised me they would send all emails and transactions related to my missing $3400 so i could lodge complaints with Scam watch and Australian Federal Police, but after many emails back to Cointree i have never received anything from her or Cointree, so what am i now expected to think ?

Trouble withdrawing own funds

I'm constantly needing to email support to query why I can't withdraw my own funds. Nothing on their T's and Cs suggest a settlement timeframe needs to be allowed for but it would appear this is the case, except I can never be sure how long it is as the system doesn't indicate and nor do support when asked. Sometimes it's a couple of days, other times it's more than a week. It's never immediate. Very frustrating. Not sure I can recommend.

UPDATE!! Alot of below is still very valuable to those who are trying the same thing. After 5 separate emails denying and than confirming there was a technical error they compensated the remaining $10 to my wallet and also lifted Withdraw Restrictions. Not after trying to take down my review for defamation and me being sided by trust pilot for having valid review.
NOT A SCAM but have some very SHADY business practices. Just triple check everything with this mob

Signed up through a promotional bonus. New members are supposed to recieve $20 Aud as a reward after creating a account and verifying ID. And make a first trade of minimum $25aud to be eligible for reward. After completing everything i was only rewarded $10BTC. I've tried to contact support for days now with no response. Also no ability to withdraw funds i deposited. To bank or different wallet/Exchange. Cointree is definitely by far the worse Exchange I've used yet. Glitchy as hell. Withhold funds. No communication even tho you've verified with ID.

I can't move my crypto from their exchange

I have had an account with them for two years. I put a larger amount of money in my account, and they accepted the deposit and were happy to charge me to buy crypto. However, they refuse to let me move my crypto from their exchange. They said it was because of the size of my deposit, and I could access my account after seven days, 10 days later, and I still can't move my crypto to an offline wallet. Their help response time is two days. They emailed me and asked for an honest review; well, here it is; dealing with them has been an awful stressful experience. To top it off, instead of giving me access, they put another roadblock in place and sign off with messages like this:
We thank you for your time and cooperation -Should you have any further questions at all please do not hesitate to contact us again!
