Colin's Cameras is a family business built on trust and genuine passion. With decades of passion for photography, we carefully curate each piece to ensure quality and authenticity. It’s run by me (Colin), with the help of my wife Andrea, and our daughter, Melissa. Our Story My journey with Colin’s Cameras began organically. I’ve always enjoyed exploring auctions, which led me to collect fascinating cameras and equipment—so many that we ended up with a “museum room” at home. To manage the collection, I started selling a few items on eBay, and over time, that grew into the business you see today. After more than 30 years working as a Solutions Architect, in 2026 I’m transitioning to focus fully on Colin’s Cameras. My corporate experience taught me attention to detail and problem-solving, but now I get to apply those skills to something personal: cameras, photography, and family. Our Approach Running a family business means I get to put care and attention into every part of Colin’s Cameras. From carefully checking each item before it leaves our hands to making sure orders are packed securely, we treat every customer like they’re part of our family. We're always happy to answer questions, give advice, or help you find the right camera or equipment for your needs. Great service isn’t just a goal, it’s something that we, as a family, take pride in every day.

Prompt and professional service

From a well laid out website to prompt delivery it was a good experience to buy some cameras. They came promptly and well packaged. The follow up emails showed that it’s more than just selling.

The Samsung NX3000 that I received was…

The Samsung NX3000 that I received was in a very good condition. I bought the best deal for Samsung NX3000 with NX 50-200mm f4-5.6 iii OIS Lens. I paid £136 which was after the Colin's Camera welcome discount for the first time buyers. The actual price was £145 which still is less than other sellers. It has been delivered in 3 working days.
Yes, I highly recommend Colin's Camera.

Excellent customer service

I ordered a lens from Colin. I was sent a lens which was slightly different to the one advertised.
I emailed Colin with the issue and they responded really quickly. They sent me a label to return the lens and then shipped the correct item.

Excellent service, quick response and resolutions to any issues.

Thank you for your feedback. At Colin’s Cameras, we pride ourselves on transparency and our technical approach to used gear. While much of our equipment is sourced from auctions on a "sold as seen" basis, we differentiate ourselves by meticulously testing and describing every item to identify any faults before it is listed.

Everything we sell, unless explicitly marked as faulty for spares or repair, is backed by our 90-day return guarantee for peace of mind.

In this specific instance, the camera was in fantastic cosmetic condition and appeared fully functional during our rig-testing. We even provided a video of the shutter firing correctly at one second prior to purchase. However, once the camera arrived, the customer identified an intermittent shutter delay that had not manifested during our initial checks. As soon as we were made aware of this missed fault, we arranged for the camera to be returned and issued a full refund immediately.

We are a family business built on trust, and while we strive for perfection in our testing, we are glad we could resolve this quickly and fairly for the customer.
