Very good idea of Christmas gifts for my parents! Hopefully I ordered the books in November because it took a couple of weeks to receive them at home.

I asked for 2 books in portuguese and both came in spanish. The questions are not accured for people who born in 50’s and 60’s. And it too long time to arrive.

This is a scam.

Not only has the product never arrived, but customer service keeps giving vague replies and automatic excuses with no real basis. There is no information about where the order is, no tracking, nothing at all.

Customer service either does not respond or responds with false information.

And a month later they sign you up for a service you never requested or authorized, charging you another 35 euros.

This is my second review, after having purchased some books in November, and then on December 19th @collectivebooksco charged my card for a CBC Family Legacy Community subscription. This is all insane! Order #7714133, $44.99 Canadian dollars. I'm not going to stop writing bad reviews on different platforms and on your social media... How else can I tell you that I DON'T WANT THIS SUBSCRIPTION, I DIDN'T ORDER IT, I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE YOU TO USE MY CREDIT CARD. You are scamming me!!! In other customers' reviews, I can read that other people have been scammed too. After writing about what you did to me on Facebook, I received an email from you saying that you canceled my order and that you would refund my money. To date, I haven't received the refund on my card, so I won't retract what I've written yet; I'll do so when I receive my money back. But today I received a message from you inviting me to use the subscription. What is that? Supposedly you already canceled it? I DON'T WANT IT! IT IS A CRIME TO CHARGE MONEY TO MY CREDIT CARD WITHOUT MY CONSENT!

This is unfortunately a scam. Do not buy!!
I bought 2 books for my parents as Christmas gifts and on checkout the added a 30day free access to some community. A few weeks later they sent a reminder to let me know that I had to access the community not to miss out. Then they charged EUR 30. I first thought it was an honest mistake but unfortunately it turned out that it was a scam all along. They refuse to refund and try to make me go to some website to “cancel membership “. To be clear, there was nowhere any indication that I would be accepting any subscription. Now I have to cancel my card to prevent future theft attempts from these scammers.

All was perfect. My grand ma really like it

Nice offer, some discount codes.
Only point that could be improved is delivery time. 9 days on my side, it’s ok but I would have liked to have more visibility on it when I did the order.

THIS IS A SCAM — DO NOT BUY!

I bought a bundle of books and pens over a month ago and have received no information at all. I only got a confirmation email—there has been no shipping update.

I emailed them multiple times and never received a response. I also tried calling their phone number and got no answer.

On top of that, I was just charged for a subscription on their website that I NEVER purchased or authorized.

This company is clearly scamming people. Report this page and do not buy from them!!!

The shipping was quick and easy. The books are very qualitative. Overall very nice gift and easy to use.

Exactly a month a go 21st of November I purchased the whole combo of the 5 books for my family. since then I have not received any information of my order, not even a track ID and that was my christmas gift for my entire family... and two days ago I have receive a email charging me another extra subscription automatically without my permit. extremely disappointed

I ordered on December 5th and in December 23rd I still havent received my order, neither I receive an estimated delivery date. This is by far the worst service I experienced. I dont recommend this website to anyone.

Please RUN , i bought teo books , and they took more than one month to arrived , but that can happend . The worst came after , they charge me a subscription i suppoused to joined, and i never did . I’m still trying to reciver my money.

The parcel and books arrived on time (before Christmas) and in perfect condition.

They sent me really damaged products (almost 80$ in books), after 1 month waiting for delivery (when it was supposed to be only some days). When complain was communicated, they didn’t reimburse the full amount, just a minimum % refund fee.

Days later, they charged me almost 50$ to my CC for something I didn’t order. They haven’t replied my new complain yet (5 business days later). I NEED HELP!!

Please, do not fall for their marketing, they don’t care about their customers, they only care about how fast you spend your money with them.

It’s been over a month and I still haven’t received my books. I even pay the delivery insurance. They were supposed to be Christmas presents. When I contacted customer support to ask for an estimated delivery date or a refund, I was only told “it’s on the way,” with no further information. Very disappointing experience.

Collective Books Co is a scam. When you order their books online, they force subscribe you to monthly payment scheme without clear consent, and hide information about it in the web shop form in a way that it is difficult to distinguish from the actual book order.

And on top of that, as usually, this forced subscription is very hard to cancel. The cancelling page is buried in their website, which aims at making people miss the cancelling window, so they could re-charge you the monthly payment, which they force fed you in the first place.

CAREFUL THEY ARE CHEATERS AMD WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL.

I accidentally ordered the same book twice and I saw it on the receipt. I sent them an email 20 minutes after the purchase and they told me that my order was already being processed and can't be stopped anymore, which seems funny to me considering it took them 3 weeks to send it to me. They also have no return policy. I am absolutely shocked. I don't have a lot of money and i wanted to buy my mum a present for Christmas and I am being ripped off by a book company. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Exactly the same as other users. I bought two books. The books took a month and then one of them was wrong. Customer service said they’d handle it but then it took them five business days to provide a written confirmation.

Then a few days later I get an unauthorized charge and an email saying I had subscribed to their online community. I have immediately contested this with my card and will make a claim with the EU. I can’t put links but just Google “EU consumer dispute resolution”. Good luck.
