If I could give zero stars, I would.
I bought a "very good condition" Louis Vuitton bag in September. I picked it up and used it the first time 16 days after pick-up. That day, while at the airport, I noticed that my bag was literally falling apart on the handles & seams in no less than 3 places. The metal hardware had fallen off and the sewing was coming undone. I immediately wrote and was quite shocked that a "very good condition" bag could fall apart at the first use.
Now a month later, I have been emailing back and forth with Maria at customer "care." Collector Cage refuses to exchange my bag for one that is actually "very good condition" nor give me a refund.
The only thing they will do is give a 750 DKK credit for me to have the hassle of facilitating the repair. I have asked for a recommendation, and they cannot give one. In essence, the full responsibility of researching, transporting/shipping the bag, and paying for the repair is mine. I have zero knowledge of a reputable place to get a Louis Vuitton bag repaired and they have also made it cleat the money won't cover repair at the actual LV store.
I am repeatedly being told that my bag falling apart can be expected.
Maria has written the following several times: "Unfortunately, as this is a pre-owned piece, there’s always a small possibility that certain signs of age or structural weaknesses can appear over time, even when the bag has been carefully inspected and approved before sale."
Collectors Cage is literally in the secondhand market and all they sell is pre-owned bags. If they can simply get away with every issue by saying "this is a pre-owned and sometimes that can happen..." they will never take accountability. Need I not mention again my bag fell apart in 3 places the first time after use 16 days after I received it. This is not normal wear & tear "over time."
I am not accusing them of knowingly selling me a bag that needed repair. What I am saying is that they are not taking accountability to properly fix this situation.
If you want to make sure you are buying a high quality pre-owned bag that won't fall apart on the first use: STAY AWAY!!!

Not happy at all
Not happy at all. Bad customer service (they didn’t see my email about returning my order as it apparently landed in the spam box…..really?!?). I returned my order per their instructions. It went to the DHL pick up point near Collectors Cage as the store was closed so DHL couldn't deliver it. I contacted Collectors Cage Customer Service twice but they don’t seem to be able to make someone available to go and collect it. Absolutely no effort from Collectors Cage to get this solved.
So now DHL has sent it back to me after keeping it for a week.
Collectors Cage has the worst return process ever.

I ordered 3,5 weeks ago. Still no bag and no solution from customer service other than keep me waiting even more. Very disappointing.
I did put a lot of energy in communicating with customer service. In the end they returned the money. If you don’t want all that hassle do not buy online.
