It was a good course for the basics of proofreading and editing, and I've learned a lot from the materials but also from the tutor feedback. My tutor was excellent and very approachable! I can recommend it as a starting point for anyone seeking training in this sector.

The College of Media and Publishing are honestly so amazing! I have just finished my Proofreading and Editing diploma, and am doing a PR diploma. They are nothing short of brilliant in all aspects. They are all so welcoming, accessible, friendly. They have quick responses. They are really helpful. There is always a great deal on the courses. The tutors are so friendly and helpful. I could not recommend enough!

The course is interesting and well organised.

Lots of useful advice before committing to the course and once I'd signed up, there was lots of support too. Quite tricky to submit assignments at first but it gets easier and the feedback was prompt and useful.

Great asynchronous learning with no strict timeline that's great for busy schedules. Downloadable material and assignments that move knowledge from a theoretical base to actual practice. The feedback on assignments was always on point and very helpful. I highly recommend this course

I started doing this course in dribs and drabs as I had a lot of other commitments at the time, it was extremely helpful and convenient that it is a self-paced course, and when I submitted assignments my tutor was very prompt in marking my work and providing feedback.

I loved the Creative Writing course. The support was good and feed back on assignment was fair and timely. I would recommend using the college of media and publishing.

The Proofreading and Copy Editing course was really detailed and easy to follow. It covered all the aspects of both skills in great detail and I feel I have gained a good understanding of how to approach professional engagements.
My tutor, Shuna, was very helpful and positive with her feedback. I found the final module on how to find work a good introduction to the world of professional proofreading and copy editing. Would highly recommend this course.

I'm still working on the Copywriting course, and the freedom of setting your own deadlines have really helped me to stay focused, considering how easily life gets in the way!

Taking the CMP proofreading and editing course has exposed me to a lot of things I didn't know about proofreading and editing. The practical assignments, with relevant feedback, were very helpful. My instructor's prompt response to questions also made learning easier. I would recommend this course to others.

CMP is an excellent online learning tool. The support from staff and the wider team, including the MD, goes above and beyond. The qualification I earned was worth the price; I have lifelong access to great resources and a QLS-approved certification.

I’ve recently completed the proofreading and editing course via the College of Media and Publishing, and would highly recommend it.

I found the lessons and tasks to be engaging and enjoyable. The College brings to life what can be a fairly dry subject matter, through interactive activities and real-life examples. The optional module on editing works of fiction was particularly detailed and useful.

My tutor Shuna was extremely responsive and went the extra mile in answering queries and explaining things further. She marked my assignments rigorously, giving clear rationale for her assessment. I really felt that the marked and self-assessed assignments helped consolidate and build my learning.

I also appreciated the completely flexible nature of the course. It didn’t matter that I needed a few months’ break due to other commitments, and was able to log back in and pick up where I left off.

I enjoyed it so much I’ve also registered for the College’s copywriting course.

Great tutors who provided clear and insightful guidance and notes, very clearly explained lessons and a wide range of materials provided to help learn the skill of copywriting. Perhaps too much of the course material relied on external links, but other than that great course, easy to complete if you're working and highly recommend!

I recently graduated from the College of Media & Publishing after completing their Proofreading and Editing course. I found the programme informative, easy to follow, and supported by an exceptionally helpful and friendly tutor. I had always considered my command of English to be strong, but this course taught me far more than I expected. I highly recommend it and am already considering enrolling in additional courses.

I’ve taken my second course from the College of Media and Publishing and have to say I’m happy. I now have a diploma in Proofreading and Editing, which will be a great addition to my work experience and future job roles in writing.
