We deeply regret using this thoroughly unprofessional company for our move. Prior to removal day the packing materials that were promised were not delivered (eventually we went to collect them ourselves). On the day of the move the person in charge of the team (Peter) arrived in a bad mood (complaining to us about a road closure plus how small the roads were to where we lived), and his mood did not change throughout the day. This was very different to the day he had visited to sell us the service when of course he had been very pleasant. The website had promised us smartly uniformed personnel but no such uniforms were in evidence. With one exception (Ken) they showed no respect for us or for our possessions. The side panels of our bed were dropped from the lorry (causing damage), the headboard was damaged, paint was knocked off chairs and tables, strong plastic boxes were cracked. The response from Dave re the corner of a cardboard box getting soaking wet was "it's only one box" (unfortunately the box contained some valuable books so this was of concern to us). I witnessed boxes being dropped. A metal trolley was used to move boxes - my suggestion that some protection for the floor would be appropriate was simply and curtly dismissed by Peter as being 'pointless'. Boxes marked 'please do not stack' were placed at the bottom of a pile. Boxes marked this way up were placed up the other way.
A mistake was made in the charging which resulted in us making an overpayment on the day. It was agreed that a refund was due to us but we had to work very hard to get this. When I contacted them to query why it had not arrived I was informed that they had 'forgotten to do it'.
A really terrible experience.

Used Comfort Moves to relocate from Oxfordshire to Derbyshire. Very good service from everyone from office staff to removals gents. They couldn’t do enough to help and worked incredibly hard. Quote was very reasonable too - would highly recommend.

Brilliant removals company. Friendly, hard working and professional.
Moved our 3 bedroom house in Wiltshire into storage and then to Aberdeenshire.
Any questions or problems were answered promptly.
Wholeheartedly recommended by us.

I'd arranged for items to be collected one day with the expectation they'd arrive at the new address a few days later. On the day of the move (Saturday afternoon) I waited and waited and waited......
No one turned up or even bothered to contact me!

Now I find they randomly changed the date of the move for me as well as the delivery - it was supposed to be collect on Sat deliver Wed, they changed it to collect (apparently - as it hasn't happened yet) Monday as they finished on friday and didn't work the Saturday!! and they can't be bothered to deliver Wed as agreed - they may turn up Thursday. Again won't hold my breath. This is unprofessional, slapdash and disrespectful.

Comforting they were not!
