AVOID!!! Not a comparison site, just a sales lead generator for some installers. I wish I had not entered my contact details.

Two companies put forward by comparesolar, 1st one bordered on daily spam and when engaged in conversation quickly moved to total lack of interest, 2nd company never even bothered to contact me, ignored my enquiry. Then to top it all the comparesolar website 'contact us' form, just failed continually due to a non existent CAPTCHA !!
What a shower of sh1te. Wouldn't bother with them TBH, being generous with 2 stars.....

Just send your data on to other suppliers for kick backs. Provide no value whatsoever

Don't put your number on this. The name is misleading. They don't compare. They give your number to a billion companies and your phone keeps ringing then. I'm going to report them.

This site is a complete scam. They farm your contact data and then send it onto one of their suppliers who obviously pay them for the service. There is no comparison of systems and options they're just after your data. stay away. Will be reporting to trading standards.

What a con do not even enter their website! you have been warned

Unfortunately not what it says on the tin. More a vehicle to get your phone number which I'm guessing they sell to every dodgy spam call centre. Spending all my time declining and blocking calls since using. I feel really sorry for the installers who probably pay high fees to list with them.

Provides fake trustpilot reviews, gathers your data to sell, doesn't even give you results afterwards, complete SCAM

Data fishing website. Doesn’t give any quotes. Sends 3 local companies details via text. Useless.

Unfortunately I looked at their claimed trustpilot reviews on their website rather than checking Trustpilot! Do not use. No information provided at all, just spammed with sales calls

Assumed a 'comparison site' would give me a list of approx prices for solar installation. Instead they just forwarded my details on to a bunch of local companies who all started simultaneously calling me to try and win my business. Super annoying. I only wanted to get a comparison quote. No value add at all!

I wrongly assumed being a 'comparison' site (similar to car insurance) it would compare various installers prices after entering all your details. This is NOT a comparison site at all, but appears to just be a data harvesting site.

After giving them all your data, no comparison takes place at all. All you get is endless spam calls from different suppliers.

They need to stress this on page one of the site, it's misleading. And don't even get me started on GDPR privacy....

Spammed to the high heavens with non stop calls from non legitimate foreign scam companies minutes after I hit enter on this and it just hasn't stopped. I wasn't looking to have sales people call me but oh boy, multiple days now and it still hasn't stopped. If I don't answer or block they literally phone me immediately again from a new different number in about 5 seconds. Block again, they call again. WhatsApp and text me despite being blocked and basically just have been blowing up my phone non stop. So they know I have no interest in answering if I'm blocking and they are recalling with new numbers, because they know they are scammers. They literally have a system to try to get around being blocked with new fake voip numbers genererating but they are so aggressive they just don't care they are blocked and keep trying. Even if there was any legitimate companies mixed in there, this harassment and the scam ones are making my phone near impossible to use. DO NOT ENTER YOUR INFO INTO THIS SITE if you ever want to be able to answer your phone again or expect constant non stop spam harassment.

24 hours they are still finding new numbers to spam call me with, I block it and cancel the call immediately... They call with a brand new fake number AGAIN instantaneously. It's non stop harassment and on googling the numbers or in my phone's or detection system they all flag up as scam numbersz reported for scams repeatedly. This company is lying when it says it doesn't give your number out to scammers. I don't want it to give my numbers out to anyone, I just wanted to see a list of local good companies like compare the meerkat does that I would contact if I wanted to. Not these foreign nonsense call center scam ones with their location hidden or flagging up all across the globe. No chance they are accredited or legit for Scotland. Stay away from this site.

Scam. Sold my data and now I’m getting multiple calls every day from scammers.

They put me in touch with 3 companies for quotes. I made my original review based on a misunderstanding that one of these companies had been referred by Comparesolar. To be fair to them they contacted me and were genuinely keen to understand more about my experience and they were really open to the feedback and proving the best recommendations. I would be happy to use this company in the future based on the experience of the last conversation. Well done to them!

Absolute scam … no comparison ls in any way. Collect you details and past them in your installers . Avoid at all cost

I’d heard too many horror stories about dodgy solar companies, pushy sales tactics, and overpriced installations, so I was wary at first. But CompareSolar.co.uk only works with vetted installers, which gave me confidence. The quotes I received were clear, transparent, and fair . no hidden costs, no sales pressure. I went with Glow Solar, and they were brilliant. If you’re worried about getting ripped off, this is the way to go. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

They fall short on actually giving you a comparison. They get your details and give you back three companies that allegedly deal with solar pv installation. Probably my details are sold next on the dark web…
