We have recently had Complete Solar & Renewables install a Solar Power and Battery Back Up System as the final part of a self build project. Initial outputs are very pleasing. From our first meeting with them through to commissioning they have been most helpful, professional and worked as a Team. Thank you to all at complete Solar and Renewables.

I have an existing Solar setup and had Complete Solar replace the inverter, install a new fuse board and set up my Pylontech batteries, which all happened at the end of summer, 2024.
Firstly, I was charged £80 for the quote, which I (wrongly) assumed would be taken off the final bill. It wasn't. When their engineer came round to "look at the job" we agreed the location and layout of the batteries and inverter and I explained I already had a shelf system for the battery stack.
Whilst the equipment was installed and worked correctly, my instructions as to the location of the inverter were completely ignored (he put it on the wrong wall) and when challenged, I was told "it was due to the cable length". Which was COMPLETE nonsense. They supplied and charged me for the battery mounting kit, which was not needed (I'll have to put it on eBay). They also left the 'old' inverter in the middle of the garden...I'd have moved it but for the cancer that has left me somewhat weakened, physically.
But...the system worked and I cannot fault them for that. When it came to paying the final bill, I settled in full, but made clear to "management" that I had felt "unlistened" to when it came to the installation layout. It was feedback as opposed to a full blown complaint.
Fast forward another six months and I return to them asking for a quote to fit 3 more batteries. Initially the quote came in at £4.5k for batteries that retail at £3k. I assumed there was some kind of mistake so when I queried it I was told 'oh...that also includes delivery'.
I then fell ill for a few weeks and left it. I then recover and pop into their offices to see if I can just get 3 batteries that I've now bought, for £3k (like I did the first time). The young lady studiously taps out the requirement and spec on her keyboard and the quote should be ready in a couple of days. But nothing appears. A week later I happen to be passing by their offices again and pop in again to see where the quote is at. But I am told 'oh Grant was talking about that the other day', but no real conclusion. For a very simple set up for a returning customer I couldn't quite get why this was so problematic. She goes on to tell me that they really only to 'solar installations' and not 'one man band jobs', and as a "medium sized company" they don't really do this sort of thing without having to charge a premium. So I say, tell me what that premium is as I have 15kw kilowatts of battery storage at home doing nothing. I am assured a quote would follow the next day.
So, after a week when there's nothing in my inbox I get online and found a chap who got the work done for £200.
What I object to is them just not being straight (and wasting a lot of time) by just not telling me they weren't interested from the get go. Bit of a shame as my next project is a 9kw solar roof, inverter and battery system at my mum's house.
So, I guess if you want something off the shelf, are prepared to have an installation that suits them (not you) if you're not bothered about having any after sales care, want to pay £80 for the sheer pleasure of them giving you a quote in the first place, then these guys are for you.
I also HATE writing negative reviews; a bit of reasonableness on their part and I would have been singing their praises from the rooftops, recommending to my friends etc and they'd have been in the frame for the next project.

We used this company to fit our solar panels and were so pleased with the job they did, they were the “go to” company when we needed an electric vehicle charger fitted.

I would highly recommend Complete Solar and Renewables Ltd. I decided to go local and support local business and I am glad I did. The process from start to finish was explained and there was good communication. They also were flexible with fitting the installation in around other works that were taking place at my house. Staff were excellent and kept the house clean and tidy during the install.

Great communications during quote and installation process. The team is very knowledgeable and gave me a quote to match my requirements. Installation completed very professionally on schedule as planned. Immediate response to small technical problem after install which got resolved very quickly. Complete Solar installed additional solar panels and a battery system in January. Everything was as per their quote, work was completed within 3 days. Staff were very knowledgeable, worked quickly, efficiently and were very tidy. I would definitely recommend this company.

Complete Solar and Renewables installed a ten-panel system for us in early December 2022. Their team project managed the whole process, including scaffolding, and everything took place on schedule without problems. The installation team were excellent: very helpful and kept us informed throughout. Apart from the scaffolding, which was done in advance, the panels and equipment were installed over two working days.

Local company providing the kind of service you would hope for, professional, good value, and doing what they said they would do, on time. Both office staff and installation team great to deal with. Early days with the installation of course but based on our experience to date I would certainly recommend.

A complete solar panel/battery installation. Every step was planned and executed carefully. The team is very young but highly skilled. Couldn't fault their politeness, perseverance and standard of clearing up. They deserve to do well.

My roof is an awkward shape and I didn't know if it would be possible to have solar panels installed. I contacted Complete Solar & Renewables and Gavin visited the following day. He discussed various options and I was really pleased to learn that a viable system was possible. The job went ahead very quickly and I found everyone from the office staff to the roofers and electricians to be very professional, communicative and friendly. There was a short delay in the installation of the inverter, simply because it hadn't been delivered on time by the supplier. I was kept informed of the situation and the installation was completed on a Saturday afternoon. Sam very kindly set up the app and explained it to me. I am delighted with the outcome and cannot speak highly enough of the whole team. I am very happy to recommend them to others.

I’d been thinking of having a solar and battery install done for quite a while, and like many the rising prices of electricity and gas confirmed that I needed to do it sooner rather than later. No doubting it’s not a cheap thing to do, so I wanted it done properly, first time, and with any rapidly growing market the cowboys appear, so I needed to be comfortable with whoever I choose to carry out the work. Tried contacting ‘local’ companies, and had a couple of calls from firms based at the other end of the country, who carried out their survey via goggle maps. Just didn’t feel right, but struggled to find an actual local company. Happened to be in the area of Complete Solars office so I dropped in, just to see what they could offer. Gavin, the office manager, was very helpful and we agreed that he should come round to the house and start the process for a quote. My main concern was that Complete Solar were a newly formed company, with no reviews or history to be able to check, so how would I know if I could rely on them? As my dealings with them were face to face I believe I got a good feel for how they worked, and where they wanted to take the company. I had several questions, and Gavin responded quickly to all of them, often with a phone call the same or following day, backed up with emails where necessary. Despite my early reservations about the companies infancy I decided that the way my enquiry had been dealt with was excellent, and I placed my order with them.
The excellent service has continued all the way through the process, and at no point have I felt that ‘well we have your order now so………..’ attitude you get from some companies. Communication has continued to be great, and the installation went ahead without a hitch, and to a high standard, going that extra mile to make sure we were happy, and keeping us informed as to the progress, which was quick. A special shout out to Sam, who did pretty much all of the in-house install (the roofers did a great job on the panels as well), and was a pleasure to work with.
It’s been up and running for a month now, and the hardware has worked flawlessly. An issue with the data I was getting from the inverter app was taken seriously, and a solution found and put in place from them working with the manufacturer.
I can honestly say that my experience with Complete Solar, to date, has been painless, and I believe that will continue as and when needed, and I happily give them a five out of five.
