Absolutely enjoyed the course, Dr Cockrell focuses on topics that are very difficult and usually over looked or not explained well enough.
He made sure to simplify them and make them memorable, helping in MRCP by actually understanding the condition rather than memorising bulky walls of texts.

Great course. 100% recommend it for anyone wanting to better understand medicine. Dr Cockrell made “traditionally” difficult topics much easier to understand.

Really helpful course, teaches complex points that frequently come up in exam in a clear way. Handbook is a great resource to take away. Well organised. Would definitely recommend!

Each lecture was so well thought out- with lots of aid memoirs, exam tips and such clear explanations that I have come away understanding so many things that I never did before. Moreover loved that the course gave us the opportunity to consolidate too. Best course I’ve ever been too!

Concise MRCP is a brilliant course. Phillip has a way of explaining complex concepts in a simple and and easily understood manner. Well worthwhile attending for MRCP!!

Excellent weekend course with some of the best teaching I’ve ever received during my medical career so far. Complicated concepts were explained simply to ensure understanding and allow commitment to memory. I really enjoyed Dr Cockrell’s enthusiasm, teaching and his passion for medicine. It made the long weekend thoroughly enjoyable. The course was very well set up logistically with a great lunch/snack spread to keep us well hydrated and committed to be focused throughout the day! Highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to pursue IMT and is studying for the MRCP. To be honest, even if you’re thinking of applying to GP or surgical training, a weekend spent doing this course will definitely make you fall in love with medicine all over again!

An excellent medical course in general. Both superb preparation for MRCP exams but also to bring into daily practice and get enjoyment from learning again. Topics are delivered in a stepwise fashion with plenty of links, consolidation and memorable presentations.

It was very efficient course . I had so many difficulties in many topics and the points are clear .

Concise MRCP is some of the best medical teaching I have ever had. It was extremely helpful in preparing for MRCP Part 1 - both at helping me identify my "unknown unknowns" and making that content easily memorable. Dr Cockrell was very engaging and patiently explained things I had previously thought needed rote-learning, conceptually. I have been recommending this course to friends who are committed paediatricians and surgeons!

Well-constructive course in a 2-day weekend period. The instructor is amazing and he really knows what he is teaching. A topic is revised at least 3 times: teaching, asking quizzes and summarizing at the end of the day. After the course, I felt very much more confident than before, understanding the difficult chapters such as glomerulonephrides and coagulation cascades. Thank you so much Dr. Cockrell! I will definitely recommend to those who are sitting for MRCP 1 and 2 exams!

This is a brilliant course! Dr Cockrell is an inspiring educator who covers some key underlying principles of medicine in an informative, interesting and engaging way. The course was very well run and the food was fantastic too! I would highly recommend this to anyone considering sitting MRCP or interested in IMT.

Fantastic course. Dr. Cockrell explains difficult concepts incredibly well, and also gives us clever ways to remember everything. Would recommend this course to everyone and I wish he would consider making a revision day for part 2!

The amount of topics covered in just 2 days is incredible. I used this is a start to my MRCP revision and it was excellent. Im going to do more work + question banks and likely attend it a second time before my sitting. Dr Cockrell explains difficult things and makes them easy along with ways to remember them. Highly recommend it!! Felt 100% more intelligent at work the next day!

It was absolutely brilliant!

A brilliantly organised and comprehensively delivered course that covers the vast breadth of MRCP Part 1 in a concise yet personal manner. What I particularly liked about the course was the fact that it was delivered by one individual who, as an AMU consultant, provided an excellent generalist approach that ensured continuity throughout the 2 days compared with other courses which often offer far too much unnecessary information provided by various specialists and lack continuity. Every aspect of the day was also very well thought out from the location, to the length of each lecture, to the food (which was some of the best food I've had in a long time!).
