Fraud! no cancellation even more than 60 days before conference!
Fraud! no cancellation even more than 60 days before conference!
62 days before the conference, on 5th of June my mother sent an email asking to cancel her registration to the 7-9 August Chromatography 2017 in Rome Italy, and informed that her Visa application was refused by the Italian embassy in Baghdad and asked for refund according to their policy which states full refund by cancelling 60 days before the day of the conference or earlier.
The company refused to refund her but less than half the amount paid which was 900 US dollar. They offered another conference next year but the visa application was again shamelessly refused by the Italian embassy deciding on behalf of Portugal in Baghdad.
My mother then contributed through a poster, but no refund of difference was made. The difference amounts to 400 USD. They even did not reply to several emails sent to their email address many months ago.

These people have scammed me for 1200$ for a conference and never got back to me. Wish I checked these reviews earlier.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE CONN ARTISTS.
DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE CONN ARTISTS.
We attended a two day conference this week in Dublin on diabetes - we were promised two halls with a choice between 16 lectures in the morning and between 20 lectures in the afternoon for two days. What we got was chaos, about 80 people attending. There were four lectures in the morning, two in the afternoon, in ONE hall. Two lecturers did not turn up. After two lectures, 60 Asian people all simultaneously left - apparently they did it to qualify for attending a conference but wanted a holiday. The remaining 20 of us were stunned - £300 for this. Then the second day was reduce to 3 lectures!!!!! From the over 30 originally promised. We did not bother to go back for the second day and cannot get a refund.
I actually want to give zero stars
I actually want to give zero stars! But have to punch in 1 star to be able to review : - 0
1. Poor communication from the start
2. Badly organised
3. Speakers don't turn up for talks ( were they ever going to?)
4. Expensive to register for
5. If you choose their accoms options..it s more expensive through Comseries than direct with hotel
6. WHERE DOES THE MONEY FOR THIS SCAM GO!!!!
Predatory
I cancelled my registration and requested for refund but did not get a reply immediately. Usually they will reply within 24 hours if I asked about other matters eg. accomodation, venue etc. (that will bring money to them). But this time I need to keep sending email and send message through the conference website only to receive an email stating that they need to get approval from management about my cancellation and refund request. When I sent email again I was blocked. This is so unprofessional and indeed a predatory company.

Nice Conferences

Scam!!! Fake conferences. I got scammed and read my story
I signed up for the Food Science, Nutrition & Health Conference in San Antonio Texas on Sept 26-27, 2018. I booked my trip (airfare, hotel, car rental). I arrived in Texas and checked the website for final program information. I was shocked to find out that they have "merged" the conference with another one in Chicago that's two days later (9/28-29)! I immediately called the Hilton Hotel in San Antonio and the staff said there is no conference. The whole thing is a scam!
There are multiple red flags that were clear in hindsight
- they accept submission basically any time. There is no deadline for submission. A legitimate conference has DEADLINE.
- no guideline for submission and presentation
- their program (in pdf file) is very generic. There is no specific title of papers, posters or researchers listed, even a FEW DAYS before the conference (legitimate conference would have finalized program WEEKS or MONTHS BEFORE the conference)
- no communication. There was no email after registration to explain logistics and rules. I didn't even get a receipt.
- the website is designed like a marketing site to attract visitors. It is very very broad and has a huge list of keywords. To admit, it is pretty slick. However, all the legitimate conferences I know of have simple website (frankly most of them suck, but they are run by researchers not scammers)
- the website made unrealistic claims that "they" run events with over 1000+ Conferences, 1000+ Symposiums and 1000+ Workshops on Medical, Pharma, Engineering, Science, Technology and Business. They further claim "3000+ Global Events, 25 Million+ Visitors, 25000+ unique visitors per conference, 70000+ page views for every individual conference" If it is true, it would be a multi-million dollars and global powerhouse! They would employ hundreds and thousands of people (I have organized meetings myself and it takes tons of time). I find this implausible. I am sure they employ hundreds of scammers to keep this going (they still have to respond to inquiries).
- low quality researchers. When they "merged" the conference with another one in Chicago, they listed speakers from Turkey, China and Brazil from some obscure institution that I don't know they exist or not. There is NO researchers from USA. My hunch is that these people did apply and their names are being used by this scam.
- ALL their conference locations are nice tourist spots: London, San Francisco, Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, etc, to increase their attractiveness. Many legitimate conferences are located in smaller cities due to cost reason or closeness to the organizers.
- fake review. Read the review purported to be from Lewis Marconi, Professor, Dental Health Dept., Temple University. No professor worth his/her salt will write something like that with their full credentials online. A middle school student can write better than this "professor.
ConferenceSeries is 100% scam. Luckily, I paid by credit card and I can dispute the charge. I canceled the hotel and car rental (may not get 100% back).
So I was thinking myself how do they make money? Most people pay registration fees by credit cards these days. They can dispute and chargeback (but probably not expensive plane tickets and hotel rooms). My guess is that if they get enough people to sign up, they would hold the meeting. They accept anyone and people from other countries (India, China, Brazil for examples) would dream to go to these international cities (combining work and sightseeing). Of course, they won't see quality papers (high caliber researchers don't go to unknown conferences). They prey on people who want to publish their work (and don't mind traveling to nice places). If they list 1000+ conferences, they will get enough people to generate revenues. It's like sending millions of spam emails and someone will fall for it. I feel sorry for those people (it would be very embarrassing for them to explain to their superiors what happened).
This is my first review on this website and I registered just to share my story. I hope I can warn other people before they fall victim to this scam.
Edit: After I wrote this review, I found this is called Predatory Conference. Read wiki on Predatory_conference
A bit worthy and satisfactory
Hi everyone,
This is Lewis Marconi ( Professor, Dental Health Dept., Temple University) here from Philadelphia, USA. I had attended 15th International conference on Modern Dental Health and Treatment last year held in Vancouver, Canada.
I was not fully satisfied but it was ok for me. Actually, it was of two days event. There were almost 95 attendees including both days. However they had earlier said that there will be almost 150-160 attendees. But, still I got satisfied with what the organizers said about the less attendees as compare to the expected one. Actually, it's an international conference, and that is why there are lots of reasons why people couldn't make their presence at the last moments. VISA issue is the main concern. And apart from that there might be the schedule conflicts, Flight Tickets Unavailability, economical issues and others.
So, don't worry about that, these are not use to be Scam conferences. Just believe me. I was the Keynote Speaker as well as one of the OCMs in the conference. There were 2 Exhibitors as well.
So, overall I would say it was not a bad experience for me.
The decoration and the management was also satisfactory. All people were very much friendly. So, I would suggest that you may attend the conference.
And I'm writing it because my experience was not like the others who have mentioned here. I'm not sure about the other's opinions as I had a bit satisfactory experience so, that's the reason why I'm sharing my experience with you all.
This much I can assure that, at least these are not a spam events. It does exist. So, All the best...
Money making conference, a ripe-off organisation
I have attended the 11th International Hematology and Oncology conference on the 8th and 9th of Nov 2017 Las Vegas organised by and paid to conference series. I am sad to say that my experience of attending the conference was less than impressive. I have paid the full expense out of my pocket, as I didn't have a sponsor and spent more than 2000 pounds for the trip and registration. However the conference was not as advertised and it didn't meet the learning and networking opportunity it stated will offer.
On the first day of the conference around 5 people were present in the morning; that had improved to about 10 people in the early afternoon. Overall around 70% of speakers didn't attend on the first day. On the second day there were 15 people in the morning that had dropped to around 10 by the afternoon. Again substantial number of speakers didn't attend. Thus the poster presentation section had to be moved to soon after lunch and the conference had to be concluded early.
I have attended several national and international conferences and I was shocked to find the lack of organization and consistency the conference had been prepared. I had travelled over 10 hours of flight and missing days of work as i was made to believe the conference is a great learning opportunity and not to be missed. But what I found was quite disappointed and unprofessional. I felt I was treated as a foul and wasted my time and money for nothing.
I contacted the program organiser called Alisha Summer when I got back to the UK. After several emails and phone calls she agreed to refund my registration fee in full as they didn't delivered what they had advertised. However a month had gone by and i am still waiting for refund. I have contacted her several times since then but my emails have not been replied too. I don't expect them to keep their word and refund me at all.
Since i complained and highlighted my concerns my picture and details had been removed from the list of presenters who attended and presented in the conference, even though i presented poster and was awarded best poster. However, they still use details of presenters who didn't attend the conference to advertise the next conference and give credibility to their conference .
I feel Conference-series is a money making conference and absolutely waste of time and money attending it. They will never address concerns and complaints afterwards. They don't even reply emails once they have taken your money. I would never have paid and/or attended the conference if i had known, thus i thought to inform others so that they will not make the same mistake i had made and would not waste their money or time. DON'T BELIEVE WHAT YOU READ ON THEIR WEBSITE!!
