Thanks to Ben yesterday for explaining things so well. Also thanks to Ellie Stuart(?) who has really suffered in dealing with me, the genuine incompetent, who couldn't tell an inverter from a new meter!!!!!
Although I have found it stressful at times, especially when the scaffolders found there was damage to the roof I knew nothing about, and someone from your office sent me the photos to get it repaired. Every body has been so helpful and long suffering. I hope, in the nicest sense, I don't have to bother you again!!

Contact Solar have made the whole process of installing and commissioning 18 panels very easy.
Their processes and communication are very good and they do exactly what they say they will do. Very pleased so far, and they are currently handling the tariff application with EDF as well - a real bonus.

The installation was straight forward and quite quick once the paperwork was completed. There should probably be a little more instruction regarding the app at the beginning. Also we seemed to have several surveys not sure why. Although none of these observations detract from the overall experience.

The installers arrived early and were happy to answer questions. They cleaned up when they were finished

Installation mostly went well. Some collateral damage but resolved to my satisfaction.

Paperwork enormous. Probably about 250 sheets including 4 proposals and many emails. Procedures a bit of a turn off, need looking at.Other organisations involved.

Payment after installation looks good but advertising literature says it should be made before engineers leave the site. Also, no vital handover documents until payment is made. This pressure might put potential costumers off.

Overall though pretty good. Advantages buying from your energy provider. More joined up systems and cost benefits from supplier. I would recommend Contact Solar/ EDF for solar installation.

All parts of the process were managed really well and the site team were excellent

Each step of the procedure has been completed on time with everything explained clearly. Work done carefully quietly and to high standards.

After the initial survey was done I wasn't happy where the batteries were going to be installed, I offered an alternative solution and the company worked with me to ensure I was happy .

Everything went very well from start to finish with the exception of the installation of the anti-bird mesh. This took a while which meant the scaffolding was around for much longer than expected. However, I would definitely recommend them.

I couldn't recommend Contact Solar enough. From the Sales team through to support everyone I engaged with were extremely professional and supportive. It took me about 3 months to agree on the design, this was mainly due to myself being indecisive and changing my mind at multiple points of the design because I wanted to ensure the system completely matched my requirements and I would get the most bang for my bucks once the system was up and running. The sales team were very supportive and gave me all the information I needed to make the right decisions and from there the whole process went extremely smooth. The installation started and completed on time and the system was up and running without any issues. The support team then looked after a snag I had and resolved it within a couple of days. All documentation was then passed on to me within a reasonable amount of time and the tariff I wanted to move onto was arranged. Overall the complete job went very well.

Had an issue with my Sunsynk data logger. The Contact-solar helpline were quick to respond and help out, as they have been in the past. The company provide good support and a variety of online videos on how their system works. The staff are also very friendly and happy to help.

Had solar fitted by this company today, five star service from start to finish. Easy to deal with, no pressure selling.
Always returned any calls or e-mails the same day.
Finishing today with an excellent ultra professional insulation by Matt and Scott.
They never stopped from the moment they arrived and worked so methodically, tiding up as they worked, left no rubbish or packaging behind.
If you ever use this company ask for this fitting team.

Professional, polite and explained everything in easy to understand terms. Follow up call and introduction to application was great.

I had a system designed for me back in 2023 when solar and batteries were just becoming mainstream. I would have benefited from a 5kw inverter, and this was later added by another contractor and we sold the old one on eBay. What I didn't appreciate was making changes, even with sunsynk installers apparently invalidates Contact Solar warranty. Subsequently an original battery has failed and despite being happy to give telephone and email support they wouldn't come back on site. When they discovered my system had been upgraded they have declined any help saying the terms and conditions etc. With complicated and often new technology back up and after service is paramount and whilst many glowing reports cover the initial installation. Whilst my system has worked as intended, with hindsight I would have spent more time choosing my supplier. Fortunately I have been able to find a local sunsynk installer to come and submit the warranty claim for me.

Just to correct the reply from Contact Solar, the invoice was dated November 2022 and I think after some initial teething problems it was not fully live and operational until the first weeks of 2023. They have still not supplied the electrical installation paperwork.

Brilliant team, did everything they said they would and held our hands all the way through making a new experience understandable and exciting.
