The overall experience is very good.
There are several aspects worth highlighting: The packaging is quite portable and well-organized, allowing you to take it compactly and conveniently anywhere.
The quality of the components is quite good.
Of all the things that stand out most is the user experience, which is very similar to a real recoil, allowing you to practice dry firing in an innovative and realistic way.

This is a great company to purchase from. Great after sale help and warranty. The products are top notch for training without live ammo. It is so realistic.

I was very satisfied with the order and its processing. Everything went perfectly.

The Sidekick came with everything needed, clear instructions, and was installed/running, complete with laser, in a matter of minutes. Works perfectly with my existing laser targets, and I really appreciate the physical and auditory feedback as compared to other alternatives.

That said - I also used a BlackbeardX, and have heard "why get this when you have that?" BBX is also excellent, but I would still urge anyone who has one to use both... the Sidekick's laser compatibility with most laser targets and the recoil/auditory feedback make for an entirely more realistic experience for me over the Blackbeard. Setup time is only slightly longer, but no batteries to charge.

Bottom Line: Two different tools that are both extremely valuable. Great detailed motion-based analysis/scoring from BBX, better all-around "dry fire" experience with the Sidekick. Try it, I'm glad I did!

Customer service was quick and friendly, and they worked with me to determine if the problem could be fixed by me or if it required being sent in. Once it was determined that it needed to be sent back, it was repaired and returned quickly and with no issues.

I was waiting for the ar sidekick to come out for quite a while and when it did I was on it and ordered one. It's pretty fun being able to shoot it and practice dry fire with a little bit of recoil. It's good to be able to practice follow up shots
I'm really enjoying it, if you have the money don't wait.

I have had kits for my pistols for several years and found them to be an outstanding training tool. When I saw that you had developed an AR "sidekick" training system, I had to have it. I was not dissapointed. I can now practice transitions from pistol to AR and back. The quality of the build is outstanding and expect many years of use.

In less than 100 shots, a leak developed from, first the soda maker bottle and then the cool fire barrel. I am currently researching the solutions to those problems but for the price point, I am definitely disappointed in how fast it required maintenance. I will discourage others from purchasing this product

I love the CoolFire Trainer! I bought it for my handgun and loved it so much that I bought the one for my AR-15. Customer support was responsive and knowledgeable, solving my issue quickly. When I needed a spare part, it was sent quickly.

Great addition, really is nice to be able to shoot at home with Recoil. Not perfect because of some poor engineering, but overall worth-it.

Be ready to do a lot of searching to get necessary details about installation and adjustments online—not from any useful “user instruction manual.”

I got this cool fire trainer seven months ago. My trainer has already been sent off to warranty repair once, when I got it back from warranty repair I fired two shots now it needs to go back to be repaired again. I told my buddy I shoot with all the time about the new trainer I got. 7 months later he hasn’t been able to shoot it because it is broke again. I contacted cool fire about getting a repair. I am still waiting for a response.

I just received everything and I can't wait to start training.

My failure to read the instructions completely caused the striker to be damaged. I got in touch with support and within a few days I had two new strikers and four of the plastic caps for them. Using the info I received I was able to replace the bad striker and the unit now works perfectly. It is helping my daughter get over her fear of recoil.

This worked well. I wish I was able to get more than 12 shots. Also finding the c02 soda bottles is hard. Looks like online is what I will need to do. If I knew this I may have done something different.

The system is a good concept but getting about 10 shots from each refill just isn't enough to make it worth it to me. Spent too much for something I probably won't use often due to the inconvenience of having to stop my training program after 10ish shots to refill every time

I’m so happy that I got my CoolFire Trainer. It has far exceeded my expectations. I feel like I built my own range downstairs and can practice any time. I added the laser and Mantis. Now I get the technical feedback that I need to become a more proficient shooter. CoolFire support is beyond belief. I of course was questioned (interrogated) by my wife for the cost. It’s the first time that I got in trouble and successfully justified my way out.

As you can imagine, the product will take a lot of ware and tear due to the nature of what it does. The support and service you get from cool fire makes the experience so much better. The product itself is awesome for me. My goal is to replicate a some recoil so my dot moves and i can train my eyes to see my dot quicker. It helps me work on that.

The concept is really cool. Tried it on a Glock G19 platform. You put on a new barrel and RSA and with some CO2 from a soda stream bottle you can press the trigger and get some muted recoil, the striker is reset, and the target registers where the laser hit. My wife is not a gun person and enjoyed using it. Unfortunately after a little bit of use (as in hundreds of shots) the system failed. The compressed air sprayed out of somewhere in the barrel assembly causing the laser and barrel area to "freeze" from the air blasting over it. I reached out to support and after a few messages back and forth got an RMA and sent it back. I couple of months went buy and I reached out to check on the status. The received the return but then it got lost somewhere so they asked what I sent back and just sent me new replacement items. After just a few shots, the new unit started having the same sort of issue except it leaks the CO2 when I charge the unit. It seems like it make be coming from the barrel near the breach aras but sort of hard to tell. Anyhow, great concept and for the few times it worked it was fun to use, but for the $1000 Gold Package I expect something to last a bit longer than a few hundred rounds. Put the money toward some live ammo and range time.
