I have been attempting to cancel my account since October 2025 with no success. Despite multiple email requests — all of which have gone unanswered — the company has kept my account active and has now sent it to collections. My cancellation request was submitted well in advance of the payment due date, making this outcome completely unacceptable. I would not recommend doing business with a company that ignores customer communications and fails to honor cancellation requests.

They make it as difficult as possible to cancel a subscription. Requiring approval for cancellation by the baby AND mother to cancel. Unfortunately the only way you can get around this requirement is if one of them has passed away, then you must relive an awful event. Even after that, if you fill out the form and mail it to the address listed on the form, per the instructions, they continue to send you harassing email and voicemail.

CBR Cord Blood refuses to let us close our account unless we sign a “closure agreement” filled with unfair, one-sided terms. These include fabricated balances, demands to relinquish our rights over the stored samples, and clauses that replace the original disposition instructions from the sign-up contract; all while protecting CBR from any responsibility. If you attempt to modify any part of the agreement, they refuse to cancel the account.

We’ve sent multiple formal cancellation requests, but instead of honoring them, CBR continues adding charges and escalating threats about sending the account to collections.
