I recently celebrated my birthday at Cosmo, a place I’ve frequented for years, but this visit was deeply disappointing. From the start, the service was rude and unwelcoming. A staff member aggressively demanded upfront payment, shoving the card machine at me, despite half my party not even arriving yet. Later, a missing drink order was met with more hostility. To top it off, although they stored our cake, the staff's inhospitable attitude made us feel so unwelcome that we decided to leave with it rather than celebrate there. They even brought out someone else’s cake by mistake. Overall, a frustrating and disheartening experience.

Went to cosmos for my daughter's birthday, I used to love it here been so many times but will not return , staff quiet rude lady who served behind the counter not very nice at all ,she kept scowling at customers .Pana Cota was not as nice as normal don't know if ingredients changed .

Disappointing Experience at Cosmo Restaurant in Edinburgh

We visited Cosmo yesterday with the family, hoping for a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, it was far from satisfying. Although the newly updated interior is cozy and welcoming, the food service was a real letdown. This isn't the first time we've encountered issues with the food supply here—dishes quickly ran out, and they simply weren't replenished. Despite repeatedly asking the staff if they would refill the empty trays, we were met with vague reassurances of "soon," but in nearly two hours of our visit, nothing was restocked.

It was frustrating, to say the least, especially considering the price we paid. The lack of food options and poor service quality didn't come close to justifying the cost. We weren't the only ones disappointed; we overheard other guests complaining about the limited selection and delays in replenishing the food.

For anyone considering a visit, I would suggest choosing another restaurant where you’ll likely have a better experience.

The food was a descrace they were ignoring I was not happy the waitress was rude nasty the sushi was horrible the Korma was cold and rude it was in romford DISGRACE

Very disappointed had good expectations for this restaurant but was sadly disappointed the Indian food was cold. It was swell presented the puddings wasn’t very nice. Was it worth £65 no can I recommend it only if you like cold food all in all not to happy

Having seen Cosmo buffet Bournemouth website offering salmon website we was really looking forward on our visit to Bournemouth to enjoy gourmet feast. Especially as they boast the best seafood buffet in Bournemouth. Very disappointed, yes a large selection but the quality of the food was at best mediocre. Almost all the food was quite bland, can't actually think of any dish that we enjoyed, a waste of money. Manager contacted me made excuses. He offered us both a free Buffet in Southampton and then he sent an email just offering 50% off. I have requested a refund now but Suprise Suprise not heard anything back. So I don't recommend it to anyone especially when you are charged before you eat.

Overpriced Iceland frozen food, service charge added without knowledge, it's a self service restaurant where's the service? Rude male server on the pizza station when I asked for a separate tong for the vegetarian pizza he threw the tong that had been used for the meat pizzas at me and proceeded to stare at me and make me feel uncomfortable after, the manager Ivan wasn't much help, place has gone downhill vastly won't be going there again

Always enjoy coming to Cosmo Silverburn in Glasgow. Francis and his staff are always welcoming with a smile and look to cater for our every need. Great food every time, my kids love going there!

Was charged 3% service charge without been asked. The lamb in the curry was like eating a piece of leather, completely tasteless. The restaurant was so hot people was asking for the air-con to be turned up but never was. First and last time for me. Avoid this place if you want a decent meal

Cosmo Glasgow is amongst the best all you can eat buffet in town. I am happy will the friendly staff and professionals that work in this place. Overall impression is outstanding.

Me and my kids got horrendous food poisoning and will never go there again. Now my kids are out of school for three days now COSMO READING is terrible place to eat out. Am so fuming !

So, so disappointing. I used to really love this place as did my family and we went for a special occasion. Firstly they weren't serving alcohol because it looked like someone had forgotten to renew their alcohol licence. Secondly we had to pay in advance. Finally the food just wasn't great, much cheaper ingredients but not a particularly cheap price and it was just a bit... grubby really. Starting to give up on eating out really.

Cosmos Doncaster...food is great always...only gripe is when you add a tip on the actual bill and say "we've added £3 hope that's ok" it's bad!...I'll tip when I decide...

Food was nice but today I have food poisoning so ill 😷

Visited Silverburn Cosmo for lunch on 5-6-24 - great experience, friendly new manager was very efficient and provided a professional service (think name Francis on the receipt) and the food was excellent at a fair competitive price.
I even got 10% off using my NHS card.
Food was fresh and tasty, I especially enjoyed the steak, garlic prawns and Asian dishes.

SHEFFIELD COSMO - The dinning area clean and service was quick to seat us. The food has good variety even if vegan lots of veg fruit and 1) tofu dish. Vegetarian dish there are plenty and carnivore or meat dishes so great for whole family if you all have different preferences or life choices. Food is hot regular top ups. Lack of communication they employ people who don’t speak English they don’t offer them training and I feel their frustration. My only issue was The waitress split drinks all over the food and did not even replace the drink just mop up the drink and walked off she was did speak English and I’m
Sure she was very embarrassed and had no need to be but a simple replacement of a damaged item for my family member would have been more appropriate.
Finally, I’m
Pretty sure alot of the mixed food that arnt dry have MSG that cause migraines dehydration and many other medical issues.

I have sent several emails but I did not receive any tesponse about my claim, When my case will be resolved I will leave the true feedback that they deserve, but the treatment that brought me here was not good.

In febuary we went to the cosmo world buffet and sent them this by email 3 times and no answer

Well we came today and wasn’t totally impressed and for £107 we was expecting better value for money

1. Lack of replenishment for salt and pepper chips, pakora, chicken nuggets, noodles and rice.
2. Mashed potato tastes more like smash potato than proper mashed potato very slimy.
3. Curry sauce is lumpy and doesn’t taste nice as it lacked flavour.
4. Chicken pops was very dry and overcooked.
5. Desserts are really lacking of anything nice apart from dry cakes or jelly. No pies or crumbles nothing.
6. Cider was meant to be draft cider but it was flat.

This seems to be a massive change from the past and for what we spent it isn’t value for money

Overbooked, food cold due to long queues, gone for a celebration, booked in advance, paid as soon as you went in, no staff members to address concerns due to the fact they had far to many customers in they were rushed of there feet, you were falling over people trying to get your food, deserts were still frozen in parts and most of it was gone. We had a two hour slot and left within three quarters of a hour most of that spent in the queue. Looked where we could complain and only got the feedback form on there site, We are now in April still no one has contacted me once you have paid that’s all they are bothered about.

Absolutely rubbish. My wife ended up with food poisoning. Avoid, very dirty restaurants and very bad habbits. I will be reporting this to the environmental agency.
