what a pity! we stopped for a coffee and sandwich in Costa Whetstone. we are back in the ‘90! poor quality food and overpriced.

Girl chatting to someone who was half behind the counter and not serving but confident enough to walk behind the counter to put some milk in his tea. At no time did the girl check to see if anyone was waiting. When her conversation ended then she came to me. I gave my order and loyalty card and was asked if I wanted to take my free coffee, which I did. While I was waiting for the coffee I checked my change which was wrong, as I gave a ten pound note. I mentioned this and was told I would be given it in a minute, after an apology. While the young man was making the coffee he got out the indoor cups when I had asked for take away, I had to correct him. I then asked him which coffee had got the extra shot and neither of them had so he had to top one up. I then had to ask again for the rest of my change. Both servers were polite enough but clearly not on their game or not trained proficiently. I should not be the one who has to watch my order and tweak it at every stage.

Once upon a time Costa's, in my experience, could be relied upon to serve up a consistently smooth cuppa wherever I went but now, reasonably regularly, it varies from good to very strong to bitter and that can be in the same outlet. Such a pity.

I can not tolerate caffeine.
However every time and I mean everytime I go to Costa and request a decaffeinated drink the staff do not use clean utensils in the coffee making process.
Every time they use the same little coffee collection cups (don't know technical term) that are covered in the coffee from previous customers.
If a customer request a decaffeinated drink there's a good chance it's for a good reason.
If I was vegitarian and went to a restaurant I would not want my meal cooked in the same dirty pan that they had just cooked a steak in.
So why is it acceptable to use the same caffeine contaminated filters, collection cups etc.
Please get this sorted and tell your franchises to sort this too
I have also noticed this is same with the jugs when oat milk etc are requested
If it wasn't for this it would be 5 stars genuinely.

Overall nice coffee, a little bit expensive though!

I visited the Costa outlet at Tesco's in Braintree on 20 September with my daughter, after we had sat down my daughter was called away to deal with something for her son and her coffee was getting cold. I asked the barista Cathy if she could pop the coffee in the microwave for my daughter, she asked her colleague Emily who said she couldn't do this for health and safety reasons but she would do a fresh coffee for my daughter instead. When my daughter texted to say she was on her way back Emily very kindly did a fresh cup of coffee and put it in a takeaway cup because we didn't have time for her to drink it in the coffee shop. They were so kind and to my shame I intended to post this review when I returned home to Staffordshire and I forgot but Cathy and Emily I did remember eventually and once again thank you.

There is a one lady she is very rude and needs a training how to speak to the customers. The place is in Halford area in Bedford

I stopped for a coffee at Costa in Didcot on my way to a meeting when I was waiting for my drink I heard a employee shouting at a young girl I was discussed at the way she was spoken to there is absolutely no need to talk to anyone in this manner no wonder they can't keep any staff come on Costa train your managers to treat your staff with respect

If I could leave les then one star I would I live across the road in Binnley Woods Village I visit this costa regularly they usually always mess up at least one part of our order the size will be wrong the milk or they will give us one drink when we as for two. All this aside I literally just visited the store 2 min ago I asked for 2 Maple Hazel Iced lates with a lift dairy swirl I got almost this I got the hot variety when I told them this is not what I ordered a woman called Fahima shouted at me that they do do a cold variety of this drink and I couldn’t have ordered this over the speaker. When I said you do have it as it’s on the poster in the drive trough she proceeded to shout at me as her other two colleges gathered behind her literally laughing at us going you couldn’t have ordered it as we don’t have it at the moment and they would have told you over the speaker. When I told her no one told us over the speaker and this is not what we want to drink and that the girl with the headset is right there and she can ask her the girl with the headset bursted out laughing and walked off. Fahima then lowered the tray with the hot drinks and told us there is nothing she can do about it. We asked for our beans back as we paid using our loyalties points she said she can’t do this I asked for a manger she told me she is the manager and these are the rules whilst one of the other girls was still behind her laughing at us. I have never experienced such poor service these girls where literally insulting customers and laughing at their faces and had no shame. This really ruined my weekend and I don’t think I will ever visit this costa again just a joke this place I can’t believe how rude they were.

Cold coffee wrong order. Long long wait for a simple order. Why she poured my coffee before she sorted the cold orders is mind boggling 😄. Worst experience ever. Dont go to the bath Road branch during busy periods the waitress is clueless. Moody and no customer care what so ever.

I have always liked Costas coffee but the new soya milk has a really unpleasant taste and I have sadly had to get coffee some where else

Visited costa coffee in chelmer village today. The lady who served me was very rude she huffed and puffed while serving me and when my drink was ready she chucked it at me and walked off she even got the drink wrong ! I didn’t catch her name unfortunately. I won’t be using that one again I’ll be using the Costa in chelmer village next next time the staff are much nicer and always get your drink correct.

Why is it that costa coffee in George street Tamworth only provides three pieces of butter to apply to two pieces of toast. It is impossible to spread butter to cover all the toast less you have two pieces of butter per slice. if you want more butter, you are charged extra. I use lots of other Costa coffee shops and no other branch provides less than two pieces of butter per slice of toast. Also no other branch that i frequent charges you for extra butter if requested. I would defy anyone to cover their toast with less than two pieces of butter.

Built up over £60 pounds of points then without notice they were converted to “Beans” which was less cups of coffee than the original points and now as I have not claimed any coffees lately all beans have been deleted from account - keep your - F—k—g beans and coffee

Costa Coffee Northallerton in Tesco.

Awful experience. The floor was littered and the area around the espresso machine looked filthy. It took an age to be served although there was only one person ahead of me. I had to ask for the coffee to be remade as a lot of the coffee was lost down the outside of the 'catch cup' first time. There was nothing at the sugar bar to stir my coffee with as the wooden sticks had run out and no one had replaced them. I can't even say the coffee was well made since the barista seemed inexperienced and was on her own. Costa used to be a treat but since Coca-Cola took over it appears to be just another multinational company gouging as much short term profit as possible with zero care about the customer.

Went into costa coffee drive in 2 weeks ago,ordered 2 x iced lattes and 1 x large skinny decaf Hazelnut and was charged just over £17 !! When I queried it ,the server told me it was right . I went into my local costa and they told me I had been ripped off .sort your staff out costa they are losing you customers 😒

Always delicious hot chocolate. However most Plymouth branches of Costa seem to think it continually ok to serve this expensive little beverage with half of the goodies. For instance, yesterday we ordered two maple hazel hot
chocolates. We were asked if we wanted cream which is supposed to be part of the drink anyway....then was told sorry no hazel syrup and no sprinkles. No apology no offer of a discount. I don't mind if this happens once in a while but it's all the time! You can keep charging extortionately for a drink that doesn't have half of the contents!! Won't be buying one again!

Costa Terminal 2
I was ordering my cappuccino at one of the costa's in terminal 2 and the gentleman whose name I believe is amandep or something similar, Was very friendly and held a very interesting conversation while my coffee was being made. Service was a 9/10.

Costa coffee Letchworth drive thru. Unfortunately the girls working here seem to have a really poor attitude, moody, terrible coffee presentation and no can do service. They really look like they'd prefer to be somewhere else. Time and again I ask for a dry cappucino and get a damp dishwater concoction. I keep going because when the guys are making the coffee it is done with finesse and a happy how are you. Sorry to be gender specific, but c'mon ladies, get some pride in what you do. It will stand you good stead in your future careers.
