CostaVerde Tours is a family-owned Costa Rican travel company with over 30 years of experience. As pioneers in regenerative and community-based tourism, we connect travelers with the incredible biodiversity, culture, and people of Central America. Our focus is on a smaller scale, more sustainable and authentic type of travel that aims to leave destinations better than we found them. We also work with educational institutions abroad to design immersive experiences where students engage directly with local communities, explore their cuisine and traditions, and take part in restoration and conservation projects. Every trip we design supports local families, protects ecosystems, and inspires travelers to become part of a more sustainable future. Throughout the years we have worked with many inspiring people and communities across Central America. Driven by our passion to share the region’s rich culture and biodiversity with the world, we have partnered with local guides and communities in Guatemala and Panamá. Our mission remains more relevant than ever — at a time when mass tourism threatens the environment and local livelihoods, we aim to be a beacon of responsible, community-led experiences that contribute to improving lives and restoring ecosystems. Through every tour, we aim to: Restore ecosystems by supporting reforestation projects, wildlife corridors, and marine conservation efforts. Empower local communities by partnering with family-owned businesses, Indigenous cooperatives, and local guides, ensuring tourism benefits are shared equitably.
