Possible stolen parcel?

I had a very concerning experience at Costcutter, 262 Kentwood Hill, Tilehurst, Reading RG31 6DR, which operates as an InPost parcel collection point.

I went to collect a parcel and the staff scanned my code but told me it “didn’t work,” refusing to hand over the item. Shortly afterwards, I received a notification from Vinted confirming that the parcel had been marked as delivered/collected.

When we returned to query this, staff simply repeated that “the scanner didn’t work” and made no effort to double-check, verify the collection log, or investigate further.

I left the shop without the parcel, yet the system shows it as collected. That discrepancy is serious and needs urgent investigation.

I strongly advise anyone collecting parcels from this location to check the status before leaving the store.

Overall, a very disappointing and stressful experience.

Costcutter on Hanover Street Edinburghis a scam…

Costcutter on Hanover Street is a scam I brought a Pixel vape and was charged £22 where everywhere else it's around £12. This is day light robbery. I was not told the price or was it showing the price before buying. I just assumed being COST CUTTER it would save you money. AVoID This shop people you are being ripped off. It should be closed. Trading Standards would love this shop.

Extremely disappointing experience

I’ve ordered to this location (Golborne Road Costcutter) three times now, and not once has my parcel actually been there when I came to collect it. I went again today, and not only was my parcel missing again, but the staff were also very rude and unhelpful. This is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I won’t be using this place for deliveries anymore, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else either.

Coscutter Forest Rd narborough

Used The shop this evening on Forest road narborough to take a parcel in and the person behind the counter was extremely rude. Will not be using this shop again. They need customer service training and never give you a receipt unless you ask for it. I wonder why!!

Unbelievable but true

One of my mates went down for shopping a while ago at your local CostCutter branch before the shop was closed officially. But after arriving in there, passing just a couple of minutes, as the shop is literally opposite the road, it was closed, even there were 10-15 minutes left to shut. And this is not the first time. It happens every day. The shop is even shut more than 1 hour before official time on Sundays as it is open every day for long hours. The same happens at opening with the difference that it is opened up more precisely. The shopkeeper does this every day with no exception.
It is obvious you definitely don't care of customers, just their money. Will avoid you at all costs.

Evri/Amazon parcel shop at Costcutter is a joke

I had to return an Amazon parcel which was with Evri. This I needed to return to Evri parcel shop at Costcutter Portobello High Street. The woman working there opened the shop late past 9:00. I went in and waited until she was finished taking the shutters off the windows. When finished I told her about returning an Evri/Amazon parcel. She asked me for the label. I told her I didn't have a label as it said no box or printer needed and it would be packed and printed at the shop. She kept insisting she needed the label until I said I have a QR code to print the label. She then said 'yes, that is what I meant'. Surely if you've done this before you know the difference between a code and a label. Next she told me to scan my QR at a machine while she continued to get the shop ready for the day. The machine was not set up and I had to wait for her to set it up, after she was done doing whatever she was doing. She set it up, I scanned my QR code, the label printed. She saw I had the label in my hand but still continued to put out the daily newspapers. I then asked her what I should do with the label since the product didn't have a box or anything (2 solar lights). She told me to just stick the label on the solar lamps box as it was. I did that but I am sure the seller can not sell it again now with this return sticker on the box. The woman was very unfriendly, letting me wait for no good reason. She continued to stack the new newspapers after I put the sticker on the box, waiting for a receipt. This entire thing lasted for a good 30 minutes which could have been done in 5 min if she had just served me from the start. I will never use this return option again and I would prefer not to use Evri either. Unfortunately you can't choose nor see the courier/shipping method before ordering on Amazon.
