Cottonsafe Natural Mattress Reviews 

I purchased a Cottonsafe Mattress in September this year. I couldn't test because of my location compared to their showroom - the people in the office were so helpful, I spoke with Jamie a couple of times and he spent lots of time talking me through the different options, they were very patient - I asked a lot of questions ha!
I was able to chose my delivery day, the delivery service was excellent.
I absolutely love my mattress - i bought a Widecombe, it's so comfortable - my husband and I sleep so well, we don't sweat like we used to on our old memory foam mattress and I no longer feel pain in my lower back and hips at night. There was a bit of farm smell for a few days, but we don't notice it anymore.

I bought a Sidmouth and a children's mattress for my kids. The child's one is fine - low profile, but that's helpful given she's in a mid sleeper. The Sidmouth is simply the most comfortable mattress we've ever encountered. We chose the brand for health reasons, given the horrific evidence on the harm flame retardant chemicals do to human health, so this extreme level of comfort was a lovely surprise! Sadly, they're expensive, so a new one for my husband and I will have to wait - but it will be from them when we can afford it. Just beautifully made and lovely to sleep on.

Odd, that a company with all good reviews, all spread over time, suddenly has two extremely negative ones so close together.

We purchased a mattress Clearance 5' TradLux Cotton Rich (Bi-fold) Futon Mattress in Cottonsafe® Cream for £429.00. After sleeping on the mattress for less than three weeks, my wife and I have started getting extreme allergic reactions. We got various types of allergies, severe itching, rash all over our bodies, skin flaking and peeling, insomnia, anxiety, tension, a phobia of sleeping, depression and sweating are some of the symptoms that my wife experienced whilst sleeping on this mattress. In my case, the symptoms are much milder in comparison to my wife's who got a severe form of psoriasis and eczema/skin rash.
As soon as we stopped sleeping on the “Cottonsafe” mattress, the effects of many of these symptoms started gradually disappearing on their own.
We would like to point out that there is no other apparent cause for these health issues especially because we are both consuming only organic food and personal hygiene products, and live very healthy lifestyles, which also led us to buy this mattress.
We would like to mention that we had worn some of the clothing with low percentage of wool and/or synthetic fibres in it (usually less than 15%) in the past, but that we have never experienced any allergies which were caused by them.
We explained that we have been struggling with health problems caused by this “Cottonsafe” mattress, and invested significant funds not only in remedies, medicines and supplements, but also in bedsheets, covers, blankets and bed lining to reduce the effects of irritation on our skin until we bought another mattress.
We also thought that a horrendous smell of wool (or chemicals from within the mattress) will evaporate over time; to our great shock, not only did it not vanish, but it has slowly transformed into a stench similar to the one coming from a “general waste” garbage bin. Another issue are the white threads/fibres coming out of the mattress which have been getting stuck in our bed sheets and cannot be removed or cleaned. We had to throw away a few new bed sheets already in the end as they could not be washed.
Cottonsafe’s customer support replied that “the refund is not possible due to hygiene regulation once a futon has been slept on it cannot be returned”. They did not offer any further kind of assistance and refused to take any actions, which is a real disgrace.
Be forewarned before you decide to make any purchase from this company.

Purchased a double for our 3 year old and in the future for his 1 year old brother to share. But my 3 year old complained he was not comfortable. I contacted cottonsafe and they basically said that's impossible, so I pushed him to stay on it. He had been sleeping full night's before he had this mattress now wake all the time. I recently moved him and he is starting to sleep better. Just left with a very expensive mattress.

We love our new kids mattress. Made literally a few miles from our home using mostly natural fillings, no harmful chemicals used... what more could you want. The original children’s mattress is very comfortable and our son loves it. It’s soft but supportive and you can’t feel the springs at all as the comfort layers are wonderfully thick. It does have a strong “biscuit” smell for the first few days (which I actually quite liked) but it’s dissipating and that’s a small price to pay to avoid the strong chemical smell in most modern mattresses.

So few companies offer a chemical free mattress so this was a find for a reasonably priced kids mattress. Seems great quality and comfortable.

We have recently purchased the Cottonsafe 'Exeter Cashmere' Mattress.
This is the most comfortable mattress that we've ever slept on.
And Chemical free!

What a great company with a wonderful product. We ordered a Pangkor 2-Seater Futon Sofa Bed. I ordered it about 2 weeks before we moved to a new house and they kept it in their warehouse until we were moved and was ready for it. I called 3 days before we wanted it and it was sent to us. It is a solid wood frame (no cheap crap here) with a really comfy futon mattress. Even though it says it is a 2-seater it seats my husband, myself and out 35Kg dog with no problems. The futon is non-toxic which is important to us and really comfortable as a sofa and a bed. I would highly recommend this company and their futon.
