AVOID AT ALL COST

AVOID AT ALL COST. This company is an absolute joke. They gave me the price of $1800 over the phone for a one bedroom apartment when they got there they said that it was going to be around $6000 FOR A ONE BEDROOM. They said they would arrive from 11-3pm they did not arrive until 9pm and even at midnight they had nothing in the truck. I told them to leave because they kept jerking me around with the price and wouldn’t give me a price until everything was in the truck. I said no do not put my items in that truck I don’t care what the price is I’m not paying a high price just because you loaded the truck. I took all my items back inside myself (only 2 things made it out the door in 2 hours) and I told them I felt like they were trying to scam me. Now they refuse to give me my deposit for a job they didn’t even move. They ignored my phone called and I had to call off someone else’s phone for them to answer. The woman on the phone for customer service hung up on me when I was telling her everyone at the location will be leaving a bad review. Will give bad reviews on every site I can find.

I utilized this firm for my interstate…

I utilized this firm for my interstate relocation, and they were a nightmare. Worst Joke Ever. When the movers finally arrived, they were quite slow and inefficient. Still, the relocation took longer and cost more than anticipated because of the many breaks that were required. Unsatisfied customer SERVICE. AVOID AT ALL COST! When some of my belongings went missing or were damaged in transit, the moving company offered no assistance in finding replacements or fixing the damage. 100% SCAM!!

Stay away by any means necessary

If there's one thing I need the general public to take from my time on this earth -- stay away from Country Mile Moving. Get everything in writing. Even the things in writing, they will back out on. Get a report with the BBB ready, be prepared to fight when your items/money/downpayment is scammed. They use someone named Matthew Hathaway who presents a bubbly and excited personality to extract the down payment from you - he will say he's the point of contact, then you'll never hear from him again. I was quoted $3,200+ for a move from the Midwest to the West Coast. Matthew told me if I changed locations, the downpayment could be applied, even if the destination/estimate changed. The owner, Mike, and his salesperson, Nicole, let me know that despite me moving one neighborhood over (5 miles compared to 2,500 miles) the estimate will remain $3,200. If I wanted to utilize my $1,344 downpayment, I can only do so if I pay the total $3,200 for a one bedroom apartment move 5 miles apart. Despite being told that was not the case, earlier this year. On top of the clear scamming, the customer service is pre-school level and the professionalism is non-existent. Stay away from this company. You're better off hiring a cousin to move.

Fraud! Stay away or you will have your items held hostage!!

Fraud!! This company will try to charge you for using more cubic ft than was actually used. Thye brought a 1700 Cubic Sq ft trailer and then tried to say they used 2500 plus cubic square feet. Thye then demanded more money and when i refused to pay because I documented everything and knew they didn't use that space they pulled off from our house in Florida and are not holding our items hostage. I do not want anyone to go through what we are so please do not use this company. We are currently in the legal process of getting our items back. We paid over 11k and they wanted to charge 17K for adding 100 boxes they never used. I never write reviews but wnat people to know how bad this company is. I would give zero stars if I could. Stay away!!!

The positive reviews are fake

The positive reviews are fake. There is a reason they all only have a single review. This company is an absolute scam. 1. They are a broker and NEVER disclosed that fact. Matthew claims he will be your main point of contact and after he gets your deposit, he disappears. They promised a 5 day delivery of goods and we barely got a response in 5 days and will be lucky to see our items in the next few weeks. So much more, but I am exhausted from the ordeal and can’t keep going. Do not use country mile. You will 100% regret it.

I felt like cheated

I felt like cheated. They over charged me on the day of moving, since I had no option left, I paid. The owner Daniel and their sales person Mike Powers gave all wrong promises. Mike promised free of charge packing and 10 days delivery. But didn't keep it since it was verbal. While asking on the same to Daniel, he started giving all different contractual excuses and didn't keep the word. My delivery was a week late. Pick up guys from Ideal moving threaten to leave without my stuff if I don't agree to his demand, and had created scene at my doors.
Beware with their definition of day, for them its business day as they don't count weekend. He also promised for refund for delayed delivery but never gave refund back and stopped responding to message or calls.

Once you give them deposit you are hooked to them, so please exercise extreme caution with these people. Ask everything in written, before agreeing on anything with them.

Do not work with them

I worked directly with Dan, the owner and while he was very responsive in answering the phone, the overall quality of the experience of moving was not good. Details were often missed and inaccurate, communication was sometimes responsive and quick, but again not very detailed and many questions not answered and unresolved. The moving company scheduled to come on a certain day did not show up and were a full day late. The movers onsite were nice and they were fast, but many things were damaged, very unorganized during packing and unpacking, and overall very rushed. The overall feeling was they wanted to get the job done as quickly as possible to move on to the next one. I paid for a dedicated semi and communicated and expected it would be 2 days to pack and unpack, while both were done in 1 day - which you'd think would be nice. But when the quality is poor and rushed with your nice furniture and things, this was bad. I also had to pay additional fees last minute that were not communicated at all, when I was very clear how much stuff I had. Overall a very bad experience and would not recommend working with this company. They are a broker, not the actual moving company. Next time i'll go direct with the moving company for more responsibility, accountability and hopefully better communication due to no middle man.
