I have just read the previous reviews…Poor quality and bad assistant attitude.
I have just read the previous reviews and see I’m not the only disappointed buyer. I purchased a vase in April. It was dark green inside and out and fluted. I filled it with lilies which obviously required water. On emptying, about half of the internal paint came out with the water. It was not visible on the outside, however it was obvious that at some stage it would also wear off. I returned it today only to be told by the shop assistant that I should have just used it for dried flowers minus water. I replied that there was absolutely nothing to suggest this when I purchased it and that a vase is a vessel to hold water. I did receive a refund, but was incredibly disappointed with the assistants attitude - she wasn’t going to budge on her assessment and also the poor quality of the vessel. I won’t be back in a hurry.
What has happened to Country Roads…
What has happened to Country Roads helpline service (not in-store, they’re great). You used to be able to call a store but not anymore! You used to ring the head office help line and speak to a service member; well you can still do that if you have the time to wait. Often they direct you to online chat but then say they have no one to help and you have to send an SMS and they’ll supposedly get back to you! The last time this happened they got back to me 3 days later. I’m still waiting for someone to contact me and it’s been 3 days and no response! Dreadful, appalling service! It’s such a pity as I’ve been a loyal customer for over 30 years but these recent experiences with the helpline have me considering not buying from them anymore!
This company used to have high quality…
This company used to have high quality products but now even though you pay a premium they don't last and are made poorly and of cheap material. I have a cross body bag that has worn badly after little use and was a complete waste of money. I complained to Country Road only to be told it was wear and tear. Not acceptable that they don't stand by their products or the quality. Will not purchase from them again. Items should at their prices be good quality and last a reasonable amount of time. This is my second problem with them after a jumper came apart at the stitching a week after purchase.
Carindale store, where l always come back even l moved to Gold Coast.
I went to my favorite store to buy few things before going on holiday.
I am very pleased how girls are doing everything possible to satisfy me and make my shopping successful.
Thank you, Thank you.
Country Road sent me the wrong item
Country Road sent me the wrong item, it doesn't fit and refuses to allow me to return it. I have attempted to resolve through chat and email. In store says they can't help as was an online purchase.

I wouldn't even rate your products a 1star
While they look the part , the quality is highly poor.
The slides absolutely hurt your feet. 2 years in and they still cut my toes
The bag made of felt is terrible after 2 months al, starting to rub.. after 1 year is rubbish
And the singlet that was like $70 had minor piling and looked not so nice , it's been washed about 4 times.
The only things that still looks okay are they childrens leggings. Bit I've only worn twice.
I'm in New Zealand and I'm highly disappointed . I contacted country road but I needed to go back in store, I should have gone in when the bag started rubbing but I didn't contact country road until it was about 8 months in as I was totally disappointed.
Extraordinarily poor service
Extraordinarily poor service. Not the company it used to be. Now just an unreliable drop shipping business, shipping products out of China but still charging hjgh street prices. Website doesn't reflect stock; expect to wait a week to be told there's no stock.
What an absolute joke
What an absolute joke. I found a blazer I loved at Country Road store, Albany in Auckland, but not in my size unfortunately. I subsequently found out there were 2 available around NZ in size 6, one of them in Hamilton. They advised because I wasn't a VIP member they wouldn't transfer it between stores, ie. you aren't important enough to us. I then proactively phoned Hamilton and tried to buy it over the phone, or online or simply pay for the courier to get it up to Auckland so I could buy it. But no! all against the rules, they also wouldn't put it online so I could buy it. This is the hardest I have ever had to work to buy a $300 jacket that was available! I had to fight to try and buy it but they wouldn't allow it. The lovely sales lady in Hamilton was so apologetic, the jacket was available. What a joke! Good riddance Country Road, love your blazer, but won't be bothering with your store or products at all anymore in protest. fix your ridiculous processes!
You have lost your way!
It is very disappointing to see a brand that has lost its way by having to copy a designer tote bag that is so obvious. The tote bag for this season is a rip-off of the Chloe tote to an absolute tee, just a different fabric. It only needs to be 10% different, right? Very poor form Country Road!
Disappointing Purchase and customer service
Recently ordered a shirt from Country Road and after one wash, the the thread on one of the letters has come loose. Prior to this we had 4 shirts that were really good quality. But recently the quality has gone down greatly. I contacted customer service who told me to take it to the nearest store which was 5 hours drive away. And then I didn't hear back, the chat was ended. Won't be buying our shirts there anymore. What a shame.
Very disappointed
Very disappointed. My daughter received one of their children's iconic duffle bags just over a year ago and already the zip has broken. I've had mine for 20 years and the zip has had no problems. After phoning customer service they told me I had to take the bag into a store which was a 2 hour return trip for me. When I took her bag back to be replaced, along with the original receipt. They just laughed and said it was over 6 months ago so to bad. They've lost 9 valuable long-term customers for life with this poor attitude and refusal to acknowledge their poor product manufacturing.
Online service in NZ is terrible
Online service in NZ is terrible. They sent a faulty product and I had to email multiple times and no-one took it seriously. Only when I could finally go in-store was I allowed to return the faulty product.
Customer service is now nonexistent
Customer service is now nonexistent. I am a platinum customer and ordered online to be sent the completely wrong item by CR due to their own error. Have wasted literally hours trying to resolve the situation (caused by CR’s own error) via phone, email, online messaging, online chat and still have nothing to show for it other than the bill I paid and the hours of inconvenience and frustration. After finally getting through to “customer service” by phone today, they happily told me that they received and processed the return of the incorrect item (that I had to package and take to the post office - more time and inconvenience) days and days ago, but still have done nothing towards actually finding or sending the correct item that was ordered and paid for WEEKS ago. This is handled by another team and they cannot say what if anything can be done or when. Lots of fancy talk about “expediting” - but when questioned, this only means they simply leave a message with the people who made the mistake weeks ago and have done nothing to resolve it and have not answered any of my messages for the last week. Life is too short to deal with such wanton incompetence. Never shopping at CR or it’s associated brands ever again. Still don’t have the item, a refund or any advice as to how or if this can ever be resolved. Pure farce.
