I sprained my leg while travelling in Japan. It took a few days for the pain to get unbearable as I kept walking with out resting my leg. My foot was swollen and I could not walk at all. I was taken by the ambulance to Ominichi General Hospital by ambulance. BTW transport by ambulance to Japan is free. The medical staff did a terrific job discovering that I did not have a fracture. The put an orthodontic brace on my leg and sent me away. Once my ankle recovered i was reduced to a limp and managed to resume my holiday. Covermore was fantastic, they settled my claim very quickly. Thanks Covermore.

I haven't had to claim travel insurance before however on a recent trip to Europe, I started experiencing severe panic attacks, and as such went home early. I was worried that travel insurance wouldn't cover mental health, and while I knew I had to go home, it was a worry about the money that was pre-paid. I could not fault Cover More. Their care team took my concerns seriously and Yolanda one of the nurses checked in regularly and gave me practical tips to get through. Her kindness made the biggest difference to an awful situation. The claim was easy to submit, and I was kept updated throughout the process. I didn't think I would get a refund due to having no physical injury however the claim was successful which was a huge eight off my shoulders. Knowing how great the Cover More team was this time, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Cover More made a stressful time a lot easier.

Covermore, backed by Zurich Australia is a company I wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. They are duplicitous and not worthy of a position in the Australian market place. They rely on exhausting you so you eventually abandon the claim however if you persist and take them to AFCA you will get a fair hearing and satisfaction - don’t give up, keep the fight with them going, and speak to AFCA . Travelled to Europe in 2024 with Covermore as out travel insurance with. 12 month policy for all of Europe and Asia. Had an issue in Italy and to call them they do not support web calls (messenger, teams, etc) what I mean is they won’t call you back on these services you can only call them. The advice I received was that my Medicare card was to be used at an ED at a Rome hospital. This seemed a bit poor and pointless as I paid a lot for our premium insurance cover only to be told go to the ED and use your Medicare card. I did this and the doctors recommended therapeutic massage treatments who Covermore event covered after I got back to Australia after a 3 month trip. Cover was great just communication channels are poor for a company that covers you when you are travelling around the globe to countries where you may not want to use you home phone due to the excessive roaming costs. I would have thought as they use teams themselves and many use web calling services that they would support this for customer support.

My wife and I travelled to the UK & Ireland for a holiday last June. As an ex marathon runner one of the highlights of my trip was running on the UCD Campus in Dublin as I’ve done for 50 years. Unfortunately, on my second day there I pulled a calf muscle which resulted in ten weeks of treatment by physiotherapists & an osteopath. When I returned to Australia I sought reimbursement from Cover More Travel Ins who were covering my trip. Initially I had difficulty lodging the appropriate claim documents but after some assistance from Cover More employees, I was able to lodge same and within a very short time my claim has been approved and I now just await payment. I’m extremely happy with the assistance I received which was delivered with promptness and courtesy. Well done guys!

They say they process claims in 10 days - this is a lie. They respond to each new piece of requested information in ten days - it's been over two months since submitting our claim - and still nothing. Do not use this company.

I was not impressed with Cover-More. I could not get an answer as to why my claim was taking so long, I rang, sent emails but got no reason for the delay. When Flight Centre helped me put it together they said it would take 2 weeks. That was back in July, here it is now October and I've only just got confirmation that the claim has been approved. No reason for the delay, no apology for the delay no offer of 3 months interest on the money held, only that YOU are pleased of the outcome of the claim. Even now I would appreciate a reason for the delay.

We had to cancel our Japan holiday due to unforeseen health concerns and received a full refund which was a great relief. The online claim process was easy and straightforward. We received automated replies to our initial claim and it was resolved in under 30 days which was reasonable considering the nature of the claim and the documentation we provided. The only suggestion I would make is maybe a follow up email part way through the claim would have been helpful to keep us informed of the process. But having said that I would not hesitate to use Cover-More again as I feel secure in the knowledge they stand behind the product they sell.

I couldn’t recommend Covermore/Comm Bank travel insurance more highly!!!
My husband was airlifted from a cruise ship in France with Influenza A and pneumonia. I rang the overseas hotline and they couldn’t be more helpful. They rang me and checked on me as well as checking on my husband.
I forgot to mention that all the staff were fantastic not just the overseas staff, helpful all around!!!
The approval for our claim came today, just over 2 months!

For my latest travel experience I used Cover-more for the first time. I have engaged in considerable travel and used several different brands of travel insurance. They are all relatively easy to buy but for me that is not sufficient to give a 5-star rating. It is their response to problems or issues that is important, and it seems Cover-More gets that. I had a medical issue while travelling in rural France. I became ill on Friday 11/07/25 and was due to fly out on Monday 14/07/25. I phoned Cover-More. The agent I spoke to connected me directly to a paramedic who, after a quick assessment, provided me with an online connection to a physician. Within 2 hours I had spoken to a doctor and received a prescription which resolved my issue very quickly, enabling me to fly as planned. This is prime customer service. Thank you Cover-More

lost my passport while travelling in europe with my mum and grandmother. they covered every expense - accom, travel, passports and luggage. in total i got paid around $16,000 in compensation. i was a total financial loss for covermore but not only did the company stick to their word, they even advised me to make claims for things I didn't realised were covered like my replacement passport, and paid out my luggage when i didn't have the receipts for everything as a goodwill gesture.

I received pretty much immediate reply once I notified CM of my medical situation, however, the options available to me in terms of making a claim could have been articulated earlier in the process. Once I made the claim it was assessed and approved relatively quickly

Rang Cover-More Travel Insurance. Went through process over phone only to be told system down and couldn’t process but they would email policy details and give me a 9.15 call back next day. Cover-More did neither. The worst type of customer service. Time wasted and didn’t follow through with what they said they would do. Hence rang a Travel agent to get recommendations for a reliable Insurance broker. Have my travel insurance with a recommended company who was helpful and efficient. Customer service important and very poor experience with Cover- MORE . MORE customer service training required . MORE following up on doing what they say they would do. MORE respect for potential customers. Think I have COVERED things

The policy was easy to take out but more importantly, their claims process was very easy and fast.
I'd cracked my laptop screen and already had it repaired when I made the claim. I phoned to make sure what documents I needed to provide with the online claims application. The call was answered very quickly by a sympathetic, informed and helpful Australian staff member. I made sure I submit all the ownership, damage, repair and payment proof but still expected the claim would take a while to process and might be knocked back. It was all settled and paid out within a few days. Top service!
